More of a rant, really, but technically a request.

As I was surfing the tracker for non-porn movies, I've found that most gay films here are silly romantic comedies, heavy gayngst dramas or rather disturbing tales of debauchery and degradation.
Well, maybe I'm searching wrong, but do we have something else, not causing boredom, suffering or nausea?
Something with event heavy plot, where main character/romantic line just happens to be gay?

Why not?

Nope. That's why it's called private life. Besides, nobody cared to ask me about my mate, gay or not, in these years, which is fine to me.

Well, since there's lots of suitable porn, you can simply not bother - watch this, but fuck women.

Your partner cannot get pregnant. Unplanned pregnancy is a huge mess.

No periods, period. Well, not true for lesbians, of course, but they can synchronise.

You can always see, whether your partner enjoyed sex or not.

Similar mindset - it's easier to understand the person of same gender, usually.

If you're out, then no pestering with getting married and having children from relatives.

So, there are some advantages. Whether they outweight disadvantages is entirely diffrent matter.

Never had many close friends to begin with because of terrible personality. The ones able to endure it barely paid any attention - guess that hasn't really changed anything for them.

I like Patrick Ness  'more than this" for instance involving a gay twink in strange world ( patrick ness is gay ). or other books by him. they  include scifi/supernatural stuffs. ( "release" (coming out story in a way ) " the rest of us just live here")  but they are Young adult books ( I read mostly young adults books in english as english is not my language and it's easier).

Looking for gay books, written by gay male authors, preferrably fantasy/sci-fi/mystery.

Call me chauvinist, but I'm sick of books, whole point of which is fantasising about being male, having penis and being on top because of that.
So, actually, books by females are fine too, as long as they have something more than written above.
