Hi there!
I'm looking to join Empornium, PornBits, Pornolab tracker.
I'm not familiar with those sites. I have a gazillion points on https://gay-torrents.org , but invites to that site are not in much demand these days. One GentleUser to whom I sent an invite actually complained to me that he didn't like the site.
I have seedbox 10 Gbps connection
Are you bragging about the size of your connection?
@Headstrong19 I used to enjoy that programme--my favourite was the tenth Doctor (David Tennant), and I also enjoyed the eleventh (Matt Smith, especially when the cast included Arthur Darvill, who I find very attractive). From the twelfth Doctor on, though, I don't find the show as interesting.
A few years ago I had the French-German "Smart" tiny car, which was actually quite roomy for passengers because it was only a two-seater. I called it my Tardis, because it was larger on the inside than on the outside.

"excessive load"
This happens when a website is updating [Server is busy]
So it doesn't mean a thing ...
I didn't think my attempt at humour was so obscure. Here's an example of what I think of when I hear "excessive load:"
And speaking of amusing images, I checked the forum a few minutes ago and got the following screen:
The term "excessive load" could mean a number of things to this community...but I better stop, since this is admittedly off-topic, and I don't want to be labeled a troll.
@john32123666 said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
Trolls are people who leave intentionally provocative or offensive messages on the internet in order to get attention, cause trouble or upset someone.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
Thank you for that Wikipedia page--it has some very amusing images, such as "Don't feed the trolls" and "Internet troll popping out of the computer" (which I initially read as "pooping," perhaps an even more appropriate title).
I can think of someone in the forum who fits that definition of troll quite well, although s/he hasn't participated in this thread. I won't mention any names, lest I be labeled a troll (although I've been called far worse than that on here).

I have begged for people to provide even one example of someone being successfuly sued for sharing content. I am still waiting for that one example.
I would also like to see an example. There's an interesting article at https://torrentfreak.com/judge-understands-bittorrent-kills-mass-piracy-lawsuits-140130/. In essence,
This means that a studio would have to sue each person sharing or receiving a file individually--that's a lot of effort for little return.
@NF16 said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
This is something I'm reasonably familiar with, having previously been attacked by one of the studios several years ago. It took hiring a lawyer to get them to back off from their threats against me.
I''m sorry you had to go through that. Your screen name sounds familiar--perhaps you shared this story in the forum, and that's what spurred me on to researching things like the FlavaWorks case. I think I posted a response, but haven't followed up on that since then.
@lololulu19 said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
@eobox91103 one new excellent point you made was that even if they did pursue it.. it would be a CIVIL matter and not criminal, since no money was transferred.. and also.. since it was not sold, they can't collect any money from the sale.. of something that was not sold! Hypothecially, the could sue for damages - but that has never happened. Even if awarded damages, in a civil suit, that is next to impossible. Is have two fantastic examples of that.. I already mentioned Fred Goldman winning a $35 million award against OJ Simpson in CIVIL court.. but Freddie has yet to see a dime of that. Another case was Hulk Hogan suing Gawker and being awarded $115 million. Well.. Hogan has yet to collect a dime of that.
There have been cases where porn companies have sued people who shared or downloaded copyrighted material. I don't have data on how many (if any) of these actions resulted in awarded damages, but it's difficult to collect on a civil lawsuit. The two high-profile cases you mention are an example of that, but even "mid-sized" cases in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars are tough to collect, unless the defendant has insurance to pay it. While there are ways to forcibly collect on a judgment, they are difficult and time-consuming, and often not worth the effort on the part of a plaintiff who "won" the judgment.
Some porn producers who sell subscriptions include a condition in their terms of service providing that a subscriber is liable for a certain amount of damages (usually around $50K) if s/he shares copyrighted content. This can make a subsequent civil action easier to win, but still doesn't help with collection.
Another spin on all this is an interesting case involving FlavaWorks; see https://www.thesword.com/flava-works-gay-porn-lawsuit.htmlhttps://www.thesword.com/flava-works-gay-porn-lawsuit.html . In brief, FlavaWorks contacted one of their subscribers directly who had torrent-shared their material, and asked for payment of $97K. The subscriber was a public figure and counter-sued on the grounds that FlavaWorks was trying to extort money from him. I don't know how it turned out, but I think both cases dissolved.
(FlavaWorks was in hot water over some other issues--I seem to recall that the city or county of Miami was suing them for operating a business without a license, and the city of Chicago was suing them for doing porn scenes in a row house in a manner that could be seen from the street. Since both of these actions involved a government, the studio was under greater threat of asset seizure, etc. I don't know how these turned out.)
@Kowmei said in Different way to have sex...:
... Also, I particularly love when the top's penis goes from between the thighs to between the butt cheeks. Basically, the expectation of being penetrated, without being actually penetrated, is much more intense than penetration.
This can work out well for the (pseudo-) bottom as well, since a cock rubbing against the perianal region will stimulate the prostate and create a sensation similar to being fucked.
@lololulu19 said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
... every single recorded image, video, text, video.. is automatically copyrighted the instant it is made. Well, if that is true, then ALL of the content on this site is copyrighted. I wonder what the guys in locker rooms taking a shower to taking a piss think when they see that someone has recorded them without their knowledge, and posted it to the internet? Forget about fake copyrights.. THAT delves into an entirely more serious violation of people's privacy ...
You raise a lot of complex and inter-connected issues here. Any artistic product (granted, that term seems clumsy when applied to porn) is presumptively copyrighted to its "author," which could be either a porn studio or an amateur with a camera. The copyright owner is the only one who is entitled under law to sell that material. Distribution at no cost by a non-owner (which is the core of a torrent site like this) could be pursued by the copyright owner as a civil matter, seeking damages for lost revenue. These sorts of claims could be successful if brought by a large Hollywood studio against someone who pirated the latest James Bond or Star Wars film, but a porn studio complaining about file-sharing of a 20 minute gay porn fuck scene wouldn't get a lot of sympathy in the courts.
The hidden camera/voyeur material you reference explodes into lots of messy issues: In a studio production, the performers relinquish their rights to the material to the studio. That can't be done if the "performer" doesn't know that he's being filmed...so a copyright for that material could be argued to belong to both the author (who has the camera) and the guy being filmed. But that's the least of problems. Such material is clearly a violation of privacy, which is a serious enough matter. But also, there is no way of knowing that the "performer" in a shower/locker room/public toilet is an adult. I've seen some over-the-stall videos of a lad wanking where it's quite possible that the lad is under age. Making, possessing, or distributing that kind of material is a serious crime. But I think I'm getting off the topic of the thread here...
@djsoapbubble said in Someone help me make a subtitle:
Unfortunately, the editing software that I'm using doesn't have a feature where I can put in subtitle
I use "Movavi Video Converter" for lots of things, which came with a lifetime license (not expensive) and allows one to add a .srt file with subtitles and hard-code it on a video file. That part is easy.
The tedious part is building the .srt file, which is a text file with the words to appear on the screen along with the times that they appear. I'm sure that main-line production studios have some clever software to do this, but without that, one would have to transcribe (write/type) every word spoken, and then assign the times for that phrase to appear and then disappear. That sounds like a very painful process. It would be a bit easier with speech-to-text recognition software (my Android phone has that), but doing the timings would still be a lot of work
@lololulu19 said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
@twinkerzzz That is an excellent point.
It should be OK to ask, "Who is this?"
I agree. I wonder if this strange rule would apply to a torrent comment such as, "Who's the guy in the green shorts in the third picture?" This can be very helpful if someone wants to only download one file out of many, and it isn't adding any information to the site.
These things are odd. To quote (the late) Richard Feynman, Nobel laureate in physics, "The universe isn't as strange as we imagine; it's stranger than we can imagine." I don't think he was a member of this site, but his saying applies.

Clearly an ID request is different from an upload request. ............ That said, I think people should use judgment in how they use the ID information they get--as much as we might enjoy a performer's on screen activity, we need to let their private lives remain private if that's their desire.
Thanks - actually i meant often members place posts wanting to ID a performer's /star's onscreen ID nor their private ID - these types of posts are being systematically deleted but i don't think they should be.
Ah, I see what you mean--somebody posting a picture of someone and asking "who's this" so they can find more videos for him. I can't think of a reason those should be deleted. If the question gets answered and the performer's stage name appears in the forum, it's likely that the performer's name also appears in torrent listings.
Thanks again - so i pointed out request forums exist on gay torrent site https://en.gay-lounge.net forums - is there any reason gaytorrent.ru forums need to be public and so are unable to list requests?
I don't know why the forums are public. Putting them behind a log-in wall would solve lots of these problems.
@twinkerzzz said in Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?:
Do / should requests to ID a particular porn performer constitute an 'upload request' ? Surely an upload request is different to an ID request ?
Clearly an ID request is different from an upload request. If you want to find that information, a good resource is PornBaseCentral, at https://pbc.xxx/wiki/Main_Page . That said, I think people should use judgment in how they use the ID information they get--as much as we might enjoy a performer's on screen activity, we need to let their private lives remain private if that's their desire.
Also just out of interest why is the new rule concerning upload requests in existence ?
Nobody has answered this, but I think it's because the site wants to protect itself: The forums and the torrent pages are public--one doesn't need a username/password to read the material, only to post or download torrents. That means anyone can see this stuff, including copyright owners. If someone requests an upload of "Tasty Twinks from Transylvania"*, a copyright owner could see that his material is being requested and thus can watch for it and potentially take action if it shows up.
.* I'm using that film name as a placeholder, not as a covert request. I don't think that title exists. If it does, it's made by the same company as "Bushy Bears from Boston," "Hairy Hunks from Huntsville," :Filthy Fratboys from Florida," and, from their straight division, "Naughty Nurses of Nashville." You get the idea...
@flozen said in First Trans Lutheran Bishop:
So, this comment relates back to the decline in participation on the Religion board, and any others that aren't political (now that Requests are history).
Participation in the Religion board has indeed fallen off drastically (as it has on the few other boards that remain), which is a pity: Religion, or something claiming to be religion, is a part of society and family, and something that will affect LGBT people in a variety of ways. It would be good to have discussion on that, especially since the religion topics don't seem dominated by bullies or cancel culture. People tend to be civil and rational even if they don't agree on something.
As my memory fades, didn't the old design have a scroll-over capability on boards, where the most recent response would come up in full as a thought bubble, rather than the few words that appear in static form today? Hmm.
There were several features of the old forum (including the mouse-over item you identify) that got lost with the new design. I don't know the back story on why there was a redesign--the previous forum worked just fine.

Your response in the other thread shows you got butt hurt, because I showed that your beloved Dear Uncle has made a career of being a liar for the last 50 years.
I'm not hurt at all. You embarrassed yourself by making that assertion without any evidence at all--as is your usual style.
If you don't like it, you know where the door is.
You are the one who needs to find the door.
@raphjd said in Spies Who Lie for the DNC:

Oh little boy, I am not the least bit angry. I'm disappointed, though, that this thread, like so many others, has been reduced to idiocy by your refusal to read, reason, or provide supporting fact for your assertions. Perhaps you could leave these threads alone and start your own website: the domain name "IisAnIdiot.com" is available.

You hurt me? Don't flatter yourself.
