Any idea who these guys are?
The following grabs are from a low-quality download from a tube site. Any idea who these guys are? It's a plumber who fixes a drain and then services the other guys "pipe." They speak American English and use a condom; my guess is that it was made in the late 1990's. Thanks!

RE: What movie is this hot scene from?
@bensmith3255 Truly hot. Adding a bump here so I get notified if/when somebody responds. It looks like something from the US around year 2000 or so, by a minor studio given the bad lighting.
It reminds me of when I was "best man" for a friend of mine from uni:..he "stayed with me" the night before the ceremony. It was hard to keep a straight face, so to speak, at the wedding.

RE: Seeding older torrents
@teatea I have several "old" torrents (with the .ru tracker identification) that are indeed seeding, although the upload rate looks rather slow.
At some point it might be necessary to re-download them with the .rent tracker, and I assume that there will be an announcement if/when that becomes necessary. Perhaps an "official person" can weigh in here.

RE: Handling "dead" torrents.
@kco said in Handling "dead" torrents.:
f.e. here I am sharing "REDCLARK" torrent (29.1GB), and does not seem to be neither active nor dead. I can't find it in the tracker. Used to be rather popular.
When you say "I am sharing ...," does your torrent client show other users that are live? I did a search for that torrent and didn't find it. In my client such a torrent will be identified as "unregistered," meaning that even though my client is trying to share it, the tracker doesn't recognize it, and won't hook me up with other users for file sharing.
How do I know if it was taken down?
If it shows up as unregistered, then it was removed from the system. The site will do this for a variety of reasons, such as a DMCA take-down request, a duplicate, something on the banned list, or general housekeeping if it's been dead for a long time. Admins/moderators don't discuss reasons for removing a specific torrent. If it's gone, it's gone.
If It was, how come there are older torrents with part of its content?
(I'm not an official site person, so I can only give my understanding here. If others have better information, please correct this.) If the torrent to which you refer was taken down in response to a valid DMCA request, it's possible there wasn't a request made on the older torrents--if they involve copyrighted material owned by the same people, perhaps they didn't see the other torrents, or didn't care about having them taken down.
The expected "user behavour" is delete the torrent and forget about it?
Since this site is all about sharing material, I think there's a philosophy of encouraging people to share as much as possible--and you seem to be a "good sharer." If you want the Redclark material to be available to other users, I suggest uploading a new torrent that will show up on the system. I don't know if you can upload the same torrent file that you downloaded from the site, or if you have to create a new torrent. I think it's the latter, because there's some user-specific information that is part of the torrent file...but someone else will have to weigh in on this one.

Calm down. I'm not "throwing accusations." I merely pointed to something that might cause misunderstanding. Perhaps you can trim off that bottom part of graphic to avoid problems.
(I don't know what "choosing to act so oblivious" means.)
And I didn't read the rest of your post. If you want to communicate something, think about it carefully and write something that is concise, properly spelled, and correctly punctuated.

RE: Site changes 7 March 2022
@F46660T It sounds like the moderators/help desk have been more than patient with you. They are very busy people, and don't have time to read long, run-on narratives asking for a favour that isn't accommodated by the site software.
I suggest that before posting on this (or any other topic), you might type out your message in a text editor, and clean up your writing to be shorter and focused on the points you want to make. You might consider using a structure like:
- This is what happened
- This is why I don't like it
- This is what I'd like to see done to "fix" this.
You'll get more attention, and possibly some action, if you do this.
Also, the bottom of your pasted in chat window says "WikiDude wrote:" and then nothing follows. If you got a response to your concern, it's not fair to omit it from your discussion.
Finally, I see that you've pasted that very long chat image to three different threads in the forum. That's probably not going to help, and it might hurt your "case" if people get pissed off.

RE: Star Trek Discovery TV Series
@Dracula975 Thanks very much. I did some checking and it seems that I can get this material on Discovery + with an Amazon Fire Stick, which should plug into my smart-but-dumb TV.

@Kekkaishi said in Potential problem with ssd boot drive:
What could be the problem? and should I be wary of any early signs?
What would you recommend I do?There are others on here who are more IT-savvy than I am, but I would suggest immediately backing up everything that you have--to two different places just to be safe. (Hard drives are super cheap these days.) If the problem is with your SSD, another glitch might prevent you from getting any data that's on that drive.
Two additional thoughts:
-
I find that when I have boot problems, it helps to completely power off the machine (even unplug it) and let it soak for a few minutes in a dead state, then reboot into safe mode. It sounds like this also worked for you.

At eight years of age, your computer might not be ready for recycling, but in the next few years will be. I find that a really good machine with a lot of capability will last longer than a big-box store sale model. The computer I'm using right now is a high end desktop workstation that I got in 2013, and it's doing just fine. I have replaced both the power supply and graphics card (both had failed cooling fans), but otherwise it has all the capability I need. It was born with Windows 7 (64 bit), and is now happily running Windows 10.

RE: Star Trek Discovery TV Series
@bi4smooth Thank you for putting a spoiler alert at the beginning of your first posting: I always enjoy reading your material, but I haven't seen any of this series yet, so I squinted past your comments. At some point I will take the plunge...or at least dip my toe in the water. I don't consider myself a Trekkie, but I have enjoyed the original series, next generation, and Voyager. (I found DS9 and Enterprise quite uninteresting, based on a very small sample.)
My house in the US has cable, Netflix, and Amazon Prime; I think I need something else to get Discovery. Next time I'm there, I'll check around.

RE: nothing works
@bi4smooth said in nothing works:
So, since we've recently re-launched the service at a new domain name (.rent vs .ru), it is safe to assume that all of your currently seeding torrents using the .ru domain SHOULD be re-downloaded with the .rend domain to ensure their long-lasting presence here. ESPECIALLY true for your uploads!
I was hoping to avoid doing this, as I have quite a few .ru torrents hovering in my client. I'm probably overdue for housekeeping anyway.
the ACTUAL xfer of data is NOT "through" the tracker, but rather from seeder's PC to leecher's PC
I sometimes refer to the tracker as a "matchmaker," and a good matchmaker will not go along on a date with the couple.
-
RE: nothing works
@bi4smooth said in nothing works:
For those torrents you already have - and WERE seeding - try re-downloading the .torrent file.
Is this issue related to the .ru to .rent conversion? I have some torrents in my client with the .ru tracker that are seeding just fine; others are not seeding, but show a count for seeders and leechers, so they seem to be communicating with the current tracker even if there's no seed flow. If downloading the respective .rent torrents and adding those trackers to my client is necessary to keep them alive, I can do that...but I don't think I need to. Thoughts?

RE: Heartstopper gets 2 more seasons
@raphjd I watched the first season of this, and it was pleasant enough. But the main theme of the series was the coming out of the young couple, and since that's been largely accomplished, I don't know what another two seasons would offer.
After watching the programme, I did a bit of web-searching to get some back story, and saw in one article (I don't remember where) that the director followed a strict policy of casting people in line with the character's orientation: A gay character would only be played by a gay actor, while a bi character would only be played by a bi actor. Supposedly this was to give more authenticity to the performance, although there's a long--and successful--history of straight characters played by gay actors, and vice versa. That's why it's called "acting."
I will be curious to see the next two seasons, and I look forward to their release.

RE: Handling "dead" torrents.
@kco said in Handling "dead" torrents.:
I've got "some" unregistered torrents. (As reported by the tracker)
That means:
. taken down?"Unregistered torrent" usually means that the site has deleted the torrent--most likely because of a takedown request, but there can be other reasons. Once it's gone from the system, the tracker will no longer play matchmaker between you as a seeder and others who are leeching the torrent. But, if you were connected to other leechers when it was taken down, you'll be able to continue seeding to those specific leechers. The tracker is out of the loop at this point, and you won't get upload credit for whatever you're seeding...but will get the satisfaction of sharing your own seed with someone else. (The same situation is true in reverse if you were leeching material--if you were connected to seeders when the torrent was deleted from the tracker, you'll still be able to leech from them as long as they keep the torrent alive in their client.)
Why I don't delete them? Because sometimes torrents "revive".
Strictly speaking, a torrent that is removed won't "revive." But, if the original uploader (or someone who has snatched all of the content) uploads a new torrent with the same name and file contents, it will look similar enough to the tracker that if you still have the original torrent in your client, the tracker will connect to it and you can resume seeding to new leechers. While in my experience this doesn't happen very often, I will keep a dead torrent active in my client for a few days to see if a replacement torrent is uploaded. If this hasn't happened in a week, I'll delete the torrent from my client, and archive or delete any downloaded material.

RE: Being attracted to Straight Guys but it's a bad thing now?
@stam8 said in Being attracted to Straight Guys but it's a bad thing now?:
Where do you usually find them?
The cop was in a gay chat room; the other guy was from a gay hookup site. The cop was open about his situation from the beginning; the other guy only said he wanted to "give oral" and then hit me with the camera thing when I got there. Those are the only two "straight" guys I've hooked up with--that I know of.
I haven't had any experience lately because of the pandemic and just worried about catching anything in general.
Same here. Somehow asking for proof of vaccination and a recent covid test seems like a mood-breaker, even if it is just a hookup.

RE: Being attracted to Straight Guys but it's a bad thing now?
@stam8 said in Being attracted to Straight Guys but it's a bad thing now?:
There seems to be a little bit of a pushback from other gays, maybe due to the g4p models too taking over jobs from gay models.
There's "gay for pay," and "gay for play." I use the latter category to describe guys who are emotionally/psychologically attracted to women, but enjoy the physical sensation of sex with guys. Such as:
-
One buddy of mine is a police officer (who would sometimes show up in uniform, although that's not a fetish of mine). He's married, has a couple of kids, but enjoys getting fucked. It's always doggy style, and he's not looking at me...but he loves getting his prostate tickled. It's not the best hookup in the world, but still enjoyable for both of us.
-
Another guy I met a few times (at his place) was also married, but he wanted to suck cock. He said he was neutral about "enjoying it," but that his wife really liked seeing him do it, and he would ask me to hold a camera or phone to do a POV shot of him sucking (which wouldn't show my face). This seemed a bit weird, but he definitely knew what he was doing, so I was fine with it. One time, though, we were in his bedroom, and I heard a rustling in the closet: It turned out that his wife was in there watching us through a hole in the door. I zipped up and left, and I never went back.

RE: Help me with this torrent.
@bi4smooth said in Help me with this torrent.:
Just a note: there is no value in deleting the DATA when you remove a torrent to re-download it.
Good point--I think I was on autopilot when I typed this. Deleting torrent + data is my default when cleaning out my torrent data folder after I've archived any downloads to another location. In the case of a "stillborn" torrent, there wouldn't have been any data so nothing was lost.
On a related note, a couple of days ago I had another one of these "won't start" torrents. I was reluctant to delete it and start over as I had carefully selected about 10% of the many files for downloading, and I didn't want to do that over again. I let things be, and after two days or so the torrent started up and I got the stuff I wanted. That's a longer delay than usual, but patience paid off.
(Who was it that said, "Lord, give me patience, and give it to me NOW?")

RE: Help me with this torrent.
@serdue0 said in Help me with this torrent.:
@eobox91103 what option did you choose when deleting the torrent?
I use uTorrent with Windows 10: I right-click on the torrent in the client listing, and select "Remove and delete torrent + data." Then I'll download the torrent again and start over.
With other torrent clients and/or a Mac, it's probably similar, but perhaps another user can weigh in if this doesn't work for you.

RE: Help me with this torrent.
I've had this happen a few times. Often it fix itself in a while (maybe an hour or two) and start seeding. Other times, I've deleted the torrent and then downloaded it again and it works fine.
