republicans are more conservative, they oppose gay marriage and abortions and promote gun ownership, usually are very religious and most of the time bring religion into politics. While democrats are more liberal and more progressive and is in favour for abortion and gay marriage while do tend to go for stricter gun laws. Those are main social issues. There are more difference in other areas, however i felt that these where the most distinctive ones.

Ideas like that just promotes separatism, which could cause a huge problem and a major setback for any LGBT. I personally don't want being gay to be defining trait and if gays would start their own country that would just make us seem like we do not accept the world, so why should they. In most western countries now being gay doesn't mean anything or isn't something that stops you from getting what you want, it's your own mindset that does that.

Being gay is not a lifestyle, if you're looking for role model who is married and with kids look at neil patrick harris, he's been in a long term relationship with his husband and have two kids.
Whether you're gay or bi, let's face it you're not straight. None of those is a lifestyle it's who you are. You choose how to live your life and what kind of lifestyle you prefer, but don't say there is a gay or straight lifestyle, cos that's just puts your mindset 30 years back.

first of all, 32 I would't classify you as an older guy and wouldn't be creeped out if someone your age would come up to me. I personally consider older guys those who are actually old enough to be my dad.
