The two simplest ways are to keep seeding whatever you download and upload a new torrent.
Freeleech can play its part but I wouldn't suggest you download a freelecch just for your ratio, make sure you want the file.
And it is amazing how seed points build just by voting for your downloads, adding pictures or joining in the forums.
Oh and stop downloading for a while

You're not wrong but it's never bothered me.
And given that most torrents get no comments I don't think it is great cause for concern. I personally like to know who has been posting.
Once you have uploaded your torrent, it is no longer needed anywhere on your computer
Once you have started seeding your torrent you can delete your downloaded torrent.
Just a note that uTorrent places its own working copy of the torrent in its own folder, in my case C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent.
This is where the torrent gets deleted if you use 'Remove And Delete Torrent' in the torrent list
'private torrent' means basically that. It doesn't show elsewhere.
And 'preserve file order' is only when you post multiple files in one torrent. On the website, the files can look haphazard but this means when someone actually starts downloading the files show as the seeder intended
PS While I think about it, in uTorrent you can choose Create New Torrent and then just drag the file from your Explorer or equivalent onto the 'Select Source' box - saves a lot of farting about Â

OK, using uTorrent 3.0:
The attached is what I use to create my torrents. When I click on 'Create and Save' uTorrent does say that it isn't a valid torrent URL but carries on if I tell it to and creates a new torrent with the 'this is nonsense' tracker.
It seems Transmission is not so forgiving and demands a valid URL. I suspect any valid URL would do as you are only trying to make a torrent not download with one.
I also suspect that if you upload your torrent then download it for seeding gt.ru will insert the correct tracker URL for this site even if you have created it with, say, www.google.com.
You can always test this by opening the seeding torrent in a text editor after you have downloaded it and the first line should contain http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru:2710/announce.
As uTorrent doesn't clear the tracker box after each creation I do not need to search around for a tracker URL or even enter a 'nonsense' one. And I can use the same creation page for other sites and they will insert their own tracker URL when I download the torrent for seeding.
And please don't shout too loud…the neighbour's dog is sleeping

There is absolutely no difference between manually uploading with a Mac or with Windows.
You won't be able to use QTM but I don't anyway.
All the uploading is done via your browser and Semtex has given an admirably concise guide what to do.
BTW you don't 'convert' your files to torrents, you create a torrent file with your torrent client to upload here so you can share.
And just a slight correction, when you create your torrent you can put whatever you like in the 'Tracker' box. When you download your own torrent to start seeding, the site software (on all sites I use) will insert the correct information. I put 'this is just nonsense' in that box
