It's unfortunately how it works. I have the same problem since years. Rarely do I get uploads for a few minutes, until that leecher has the missing chunk (or piece or whatever it's called) for his file, then I'm back to zero upload for weeks. I just leave my torrent software open for hours and try to get the laughable bonus points dripping in that way, then exchange them for traffic.

RE: Is it possible to stop people adding images to an upload?
Print Screen works well also.
I have used the VLC snapshot facility but actually I prefer to use a thing called xScope on my Mac. With this I position a rectangle over the video window and do the grabs that way.
Sounds tedious. Doing screenshots with VLC or dedicated contact sheet software is way more comfortable.

Rules for reporting duplicates
Remember: we do allow the same movie in different formats. A duplicate must be same size and file type.
Then I see this and wonder if it's really worth keeping both versions:

https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=d2c935e5840ff727832ac8becf1d0ae82760a817b22b3c0bNearly the same resolution, but one's probably higher picture quality.

Cleaning up GTru from low quality movies and better file information?
There's a button to report duplicate torrents, but "Remember: we do allow the same movie in different formats. A duplicate must be same size and file type."
GTru sometimes has a bad quality copy of a movie and an even worse quality copy, or even a third one which only contains some split up scenes in multiple files. Especially and obviously with vintage movies, there's often just two grainy VHS copies with 352x240 pixels and different file sizes where I have no clue what the exact difference in quality is… It's 2018, we have broadband internet and I would like to see DVD quality to be the standard here (800MB-1GB). Other versions could be a DVD rip with full menu (4GB) or even a Bluray copy. It would be really helpful if users would try to find a better copy of their vintage movies and reupload them before they are completely forgotten and unavailable. Unfortunately, due to the ratio policy users often just upload anything they come across just to boost their ratio. I would love to see more quality.
Another thing is that I miss important file information in the descriptions. Yes there are screenshots and the file size, but I would like to know things like file format, running time, video dimensions before downloading. Especially when there are multiple versions of a movie.

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
Well… To be honest, I did a little more than just request a re-seed... I also put a freeleech on them and/or promoted them back to the top of the list because they were older torrents. This generally encourages users to download them. When I saw that part of your problem was that there were no leechers, I took it upon myself to give the torrents a bit of a booster to help fix that part of the equation for you.
This explains why today there's no activity going on anymore…
At least now I know that seeding on GTru actually works. But now what? One of the torrents I'm seeding currently shows three leechers here on the website. In Tixati, it shows me "two seeds are available". Yet still no one downloads from me. Is it indeed like vaylon wrote because there are seeders with faster connections available and we are being ignored? What's the point of seeding and a ratio system if we are not treated equally?

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
What a coincidence and very suspicious. Now that you asked for a re-seed, some guys happen to be downloading from me. There's nothing I changed on my side. It's not always a steady connection, but I get a few kilobytes of upload instead of just some bytes when I start up Tixati…

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
- You are not seeding any torrents
I'm not seeding 24/7, but every other day for a few hours ::)
- The torrents that are in your profile do not actively have any leechers.
See screenshot. I also saw that you requested some re-seeds from me and I put them on active. But don't expect me to be online all the time, especially as you're in a different timezone.

RE: Chaturbate uploads
You want to make money with copyrighted content from someone else. Same reason I will never donate to GTru.

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
I tested the port with http://canyouseeme.org and it says it's open, but still no uploads in Tixati.

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
Guess what, the port forwarding is currently set to "TCP/UDP" (as opposed to TCP and UDP alone) and still doesn't work.

RE: Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
I meanwhile installed Tixati on a laptop that prefer not to use for that, but I was still curious. I copied the file over too and still have exactly the same problem. The Windows firewall asked me if I want to allow Tixati, I said yes and also didn't change any settings in Tixati or Windows.
In my router settings, I added a port forwarding for the port I defined in Tixati. It wants to know if it's TCP or UDP, but no matter which one I choose, it still doesn't work.
Don't forget that other private and public trackers work perfectly for me. So I don't understand why I would have to fiddle around with my router just for GTru…

Seeding stops as soon as file is fully downloaded, despite many leechers
I have been below ratio for ages because GTru wouldn't let me seed.
I now finally got my ratio up by exchanging a bonus, so I thought of testing GTru again by downloading a small file (70MB) with lots of leechers. The download worked fine as does any download on GTru. During the download, I also uploaded a small amount. But as soon as the file download hit 100%, the upload (or now rather the seeding) would stop immediately. In the peer list, sometimes "connecting…" would show up, just to be changed to "timed out connecting" after a few seconds. No connection ever happens.
I'm using Tixati. I tried by turning off the Windows firewall, didn't help. I turned on UPnP in Tixati and my router, didn't help. Other private and public trackers work perfectly. I noticed that whenever I close Tixati and restart it, I get a few bytes of upload for two or three seconds, just to instantly go down to zero again. I don't know what that means, maybe it's just checking if a connection would be possible, as this also happens on one of my torrents of a public tracker which currently has no leechers.

RE: Port Forwarding
I followed the tutorial to forward ports on my router. I added the static IP/DNS information in the IPv4 preferences. I turned off UPnP in my router. Tixati is approved in my firewall on Windows. I listed the ports as exception in the router firewall.
Upload doesn't work, except maybe twice a year for five minutes, for whatever reason I can't look up.
Tell me what else I need to check for.

Gaytorrent seed comedy
I'm trying to seed two files, see image.
The top one has one guy leeching from me. The bottom one has about 60 leechers according to this website. Ironically, I get a better upload (see "B/s OUT")and ratio out of the single guy instead of the 60.
This is a rare moment by the way. Once a year I get a good upload rate (I'm happy with everything above 1 kB/s). Usually, even though the bottom file now has 60 leechers, no upload happens on my connection. I only see users listed that already have all torrent parts, whereas the ones who want to leech from me just get pinged and the connection is closed right away.
Gaytorrent's tracker is simply too restrictive and needs some weird internet/router settings to work correctly. On other private trackers my upload works perfectly and I get my ratio back in a few hours.
For those who wonder about the interface in the screenshot, it's Tixati.

RE: Problems Uploading When Seeding
As always, you mods from GTru deny any mistakes. If every user tells you that they only have problems uploading/seeding on your tracker, doesn't that ring a bell?

RE: Torrents will not seed once downloaded
@Uwe:
You can not compare the ease of upload on public trackers like rarbg.com and publicbt.com or trackers without minimum ratio like ourgtn.org or with low minimum ratio requirements like gay-torrents.org with our tracker. We got much more seeder per leecher than those.
I very well can. If you say your tracker has nothing to with the upload, why does it work on others but not yours? Blaming the others, that it's because of the minimum ratio, seems like a lame excuse to me again.
Even if gay-torrents.org has a low ratio requirement, my ratio there is rather high because seeding there works. It's not because of "more seeder per leecher" (LOLWUT?).
I'm so tired of arguing with you. I can fiddle around with firewall settings, my router, any torrent client and I can properly upload/seed on any other tracker, in the end the problem with GTru doesn't lie on my side.

RE: Torrents will not seed once downloaded
@Uwe:
That can be tested in µTorrent > Setup Guide … > select the "Network" test only and run the test. The result should be a green check sign, not orange. Please tell us the result.
Green. Do I have to repeat myself? Here:
You're unable to configure your tracker correctly.
Upload works on gay-torrents.org
Upload works on ourgtn.org
Upload works on rarbg.com
Upload works on publicbt.com -
RE: Help us finding duplicate torrents and get seedbonus points as reward
Different formats are not a duplicate, must be same format and size.
What if there are better rips with higher resolution and better image quality? I don't mean ISOs with 4GB, but for example an improvement of a 500MB VHS rip to a 1GB DVD rip. No matter if it's the same format or not, it makes no sense keeping the older, worse version. Most people are able to download a 1GB file with common broadband internet access nowadays.

RE: Torrents will not seed once downloaded
@Uwe:
Can you tell me what you seed as tracker message next to the tracker announce URL under the "Tracker" tab in the lower µTorrent window?
"working"
Is your torrent client programme showing the number of peers available as seeder and leecher for torrents from GayTorrent.ru?
Seeds: 17
Peers: 8I don't know what's happening, all of a sudden (since about two hours) I'm uploading to another guy. This is a premiere since months and completely confusing as I didn't play around with the uTorrent settings for a week.
Edit: and as soon as I wrote this message, the leecher is gone.

RE: Torrents will not seed once downloaded
@Uwe:
You mix things up:
You're unable to configure your tracker correctly.
Upload works on gay-torrents.org
Upload works on ourgtn.org
Upload works on rarbg.com
Upload works on publicbt.comOver the time the problem on GTru has persisted, I changed the ISP and the router. It's always GTru that never works. No ISP in my country blocks Torrents, as download is allowed and they would cause outrage/lose customers.
I tried qBitTorrent and uTorrent, I used UPnP, I set the port in those programs to 15901, upload never worked. I just set it now to 2710 to test, upload still doesn't work.
