I always get "outseeded"

Whenever I download a torrent, it uploads a few kbs while I am still leeching. Then the download finishes, all seeding stops or happens maybe at <1kB/s. Another example: I upload a full torrent and seed it to others with very fast speeds, until the first leecher got the full torrent. Then he is the one uploading the torrent, and my upload rate dies out. I am currently seeding +30 torrents, yet they are not uploading. This destroys completely my ratio and I don't know what to do. The torrents show tons of leechers, but I am rarely connected to them and if, then only 1-3.
One torrent tells me this:
Seeds: connected to 0 out 2 (out of 10 available ones).
Can someone help me? Have I configured something wrong, or is that just how it works? -
It's unfortunately how it works. I have the same problem since years. Rarely do I get uploads for a few minutes, until that leecher has the missing chunk (or piece or whatever it's called) for his file, then I'm back to zero upload for weeks. I just leave my torrent software open for hours and try to get the laughable bonus points dripping in that way, then exchange them for traffic.

I've found another way to get more upload: If a new torrent is posted that has lots of files in it (like an OnlyFans collection), just download a few of them, maybe 20% to the total volume. You'll probably get those files quickly, and then you'll be the source of that material for the other users who are downloading everything. Try it out a torrent…you'll likely see your ratio for that torrent get quite high.

Aw that sucks. I do wonder however, how some users were able to seed twice as much terabytes as they have downloaded. I guess they must have either been lucky to download popular torrents or must have used their Bonuspoints/Donations. I can't imagine how some people have downloaded like 13 TB and uploaded +28 TB

One way is to seed a large number of torrents indefinitely. When there are only a few seeders, you are more likely to get upload traffic, say with 3 seeds and 1 downloader. If you only download popular torrents, there is more competition, say 30 seeds and 1 downloader.

It sounds like you do not have the correct port forwarding settings in place. You need to be sure that the port that your torrent client uses is forwarded through your home router or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and in UDP. This is a critical, yet often overlooked step needed to be able to get proper upload traffic.

Not that I'm aware of. I can save you half the work. Your torrent client reports that it is using port 11773
You need to make sure this port is forwarded from your router to your computer. The only resource I can think of for help would be www.portforward.com

I use uTorrent as a torrent client, and I seem to recall that its website had some help pages that were useful.
If other Gentle Users can suggest a good resource, please mention it here, and perhaps it can become part of this site's help system. The computer I use for torrenting was set up seven years ago, and I got it to work fine. But it's not going to live forever, and when I replace it, I'm not sure that I'll remember what I did back then.
