You mentioned he runs an audio production company that you also work for? I'm going to take a guess that you're both artists, or maybe one of you is. Artists are different types of creatures and I mean that in a good way. By nature, they are usually extremely focused when creating but also extremely sensitive. When the creative sparks are flowing (or a project deadline is near), whether in songwriting, producing or even engineering an artist can get so wrapped up into that moment, they lose sight of everything else.. including bathing, time, and eating!!!  :crazy2: That doesn't mean he doesn't care about you, that's just the nature of an artist, or anyone really focused and driven. On the other side, if you're an artist, you could be extra extra sensitive to how he works and take it personally.

Like 36605domtop suggested, communicate with him how you feel. I would do it from a place of love and concern and see how it goes.

I loved the artwork for "Janet", but didn't particularly like the music. "Control" and "Velvet Rope" were my favorites. I played the new song "No Sleeep" quite a few times yesterday and I'm liking it more and more. The more she says and releases, the more interested I become in the new project. I might actually go see her live 

36605domtop, I never understood why Janet took so much heat for "Nipplegate." It was not that fucking serious.. and the big thing everyone glossed over was Justin Timberlake was the one who ripped the little piece off her titty. Maybe he ripped too hard?? Whatever, it was obviously an accident.

I'm a Madonna fan too it's hard for me to connect to what she's doing now..I also feel like she's primarily chasing pop hits. I must say, I saw her live during her "Drowned Out" tour and she put on an outstanding performance.

Groovedware, I miss Michael too, but I've liked more recent Janet stuff than more recent (2000s - exploiting his vaults after his death) Michael's.

When it's harmless (like a compliment or something) I have no problem. But anything that seems serious, ring or no ring I want to know his relationship status. If he gives me any answer besides single, I back away. To me, that's potential drama and I have an aversion to it. That's just me though.

36605domtop, this is a Janet, Jam, & Lewis track and I think they did most of the album. She's not under a major label but has major distribution. That changes things. I don't think she's trying to go for a radio hit, which to me is a good thing. It also seems going forward she will connect more with fans, again another good thing.
