WOW…  A lot of people saying they would date older.

For those who have dated older, what is it about the older guy that you were attracted to?  Was it that they had to be in top notch physical shape?  Was it their personality?  Being an older guy (32) wanting to date younger, I have found that often times when trying to talk with younger guys, they become creeped out, as if the older guy is only looking for one thing.

Reverse that...  For the older guys responding in this topic : What did you do to catch the younger guy's attention?  Where did you meet?

For both : Is this just a daddy / son fantasy, or what you are attracted to?

I've been in both positions (pun intended)  :D. When I was younger, I mostly dated men/woman older than me. There's a certain "swag" and sexiness I found hot. It's like an almost cockiness that's not annoying. For me (younger and older now), I was attracted to someone who took care of themselves, cared about their appearance, were confident within themselves, and a good human being. As I've gotten older (I'm 40), I've met younger guys online and in person who are really into me. I think I've adopted the qualities I have always been attracted to.

At 32 (or any age), don't even stress it. Love yourself and enjoy the ride.

You know, this is a very interesting topic. I never notice (or think about it) unless I'm sharing a bed with someone I'm not involved with sexually. It's only during those times I'm conscience and don't want them to see my "morning glory."

I don't think I have them every morning, but then again, I don't pay attention.

and just to add to what Valicore said, regardless of their sexuality, the guys are usually nothing like they appear in the movie/scenes in real life. It's a scripted fantasy and the actor (straight or gay) is really just an "ACTOR."

I've seen actors who play the butchest tops, interview and be the biggest Queens you can imagine. I've seen exclusive bottoms on film turn out to be versatile tops in real life..

I would just add (and this is again my opinion and experience) while bars and clubs may be better than apps, I wouldn't look for anything long-term at either. You might find guys to dance with or have fun with, but a good percentage of those guys are the same ones on the apps. I only speak of in American big cities.

I never felt good watching porn with my partners.. even someone I was just dating. Maybe some can have fun watching it with a significant other, but for me I only watch porn when I'm single or not sexually satisfied.

Let's flip this with a hypothetical. Let's say you're GAY  :far: and you have a straight female friend who knows you're gay, but either A.) hits on you and let's you know she wants to give you a bj or B.) encourages you to get drunk to give you a bj anyway. How would you feel about the friendship afterwards?

If you're bicurious or bisexual, then "A" may not be a problem, but how would "B" feel?

My first question is "Why would they want to be in a relationship?" If you're starting a relationship talking about hiring or bringing in a 3rd party, it seems doomed to me. They can have a friendship instead, but if they can't compromise (extremely important in relationships) and be versatile with each other, why get into a relationship?

I'm friends with my "former partner" (I don't like calling former partners "EXes"). We started off as friends, we were friends during our relationship and we're friends 2 years after our relationship ended.

I can only speak of my experience but I was open to friendship with him because I love the person he is, not because I wanted us to get back together. It takes time to transition, but we communicated and did everything out of love. I don't think I've ever wanted to get back with someone I've broken up. For me, when shits over, it's over. Why go back? Move on.

I totally believe it's possible, even though many religious folks would disagree.
