How do you guys find dates?
-
In the world of hook up apps, I'm having a very hard time trying to find dates in a "normal" fashion.

It's funny, but I end up finding interesting guys judt during the course of everyday life. My date for this coming weekend was met while shopping in Trader Joe's for lemon grass. Other times, I've had guys offer to spot me during benchpresses at the gym, and we've gone out afterwards. I don't really do anything special, I just do whatever I'm interested in and I stay open to talking to people.

I second what 36605domtop says. I meet cool guys doing regular everyday things, usually when meeting someone is the furthest thing on my mind.
Oh, 36605domtop, Trader Joes must be the new gay hangout cause I met a guy there a few weeks ago looking for peanuts (no, nothing sexual was on my mind either LOL).

the apps are the least usefull place

Are you actively engaging in the world or just staring at a mobile or computer screen waiting for it to happen ??
I doubt anyone ,be it grindr or squirt or gaydar scuff etc etc ad nauseum, is there to meet anyone for anything else other than a FuckSuckNbye.
get out , go to a bar , jump on meetup and find gay groups that meet up for coffee or movie nights trivia etc , thats how youre gonna meet dates other than the ones that are only online to wet the wick . -
do it the old fashion way is my way. going to clubs, groups and other events. There is too many games being played online and over apps. You never know for sure the person that you are talking to, is the one in the picture he sent you or if he is a serial killer or not.

I think that actually going out (bars clubs etc) are the best places. alot of these online sites and apps are mostly for quick things. least youu know someone gong out is as serious about finding someone as you are.

I would just add (and this is again my opinion and experience) while bars and clubs may be better than apps, I wouldn't look for anything long-term at either. You might find guys to dance with or have fun with, but a good percentage of those guys are the same ones on the apps. I only speak of in American big cities.
