While I disagree with all of the people mentioned in the article, I do think the cake shop owner has a right to not serve whomever he pleases.  It's his business and his right to his own opinions and beliefs about who he does or doesn't want to do business with.  Shrug it off and buy a cake elsewhere.  Denver is a big city, I know there is more than one place to get a wedding cake.

I have no idea what "ruled against" him even means.  What are they going to do send him to jail for expressing his opinion?  Again, I certainly don't think he is a good person, but a private business does not have to serve someone they don't want to, I think.

I too agree with everyone having the right to express his/her opinion however, in the US, a for profit enterprise open to the general public does not have the right to discriminate against individuals based upon race, creed, color, gender or sexual orientation based on Federal law and public policy against discrimination.

The "ruling" cited is a civil matter where one party has a grievance against another and seeks recourse via the courts  to arbitrate the dispute. think  "The People's Court" for example.  To "put someone in jail" is a criminal matter where someone has, through alleged illegal activity, affected loss, harm or damage upon another person or his/her property. The ruling merely disallowed the claim of the store owner to refuse service based upon personal views that contradict Federal Civil Rights laws and/or public policy against discrimination. The signs you see in many stores/places of business- "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" do not allow for violation of the relevant Civil Rights Laws based upon arbitrary opinion.

I came out to my oldest when he was 15 and brought up the subject: He's 33 now and our relationships is best described as estranged.

I use PIA VPN service and they have informed me that some of their worldwide servers specifically support torrent traffic and some international locations do not. Here's PIA helpdesk reply to my specific inquiry regarding torrent traffic:

In order to enable port forwarding in our client, enter the Settings area for our client, and click the Advanced button. Enable port forwarding and select one of the following gateways:

Netherlands
Switzerland
CA North York

Romania
Sweden
France
Germany

After enabling port forwarding and re-connecting to one of the above gateways, please hover your mouse over the System Tray or Menu Bar icon for our client to reveal the tool-tip which will display the port number. You can then enter this port into your software, like uTorrent or another torrent client.

This should help your uploads.

I use Toronto Canada and realize negligible loss of speed.

The second part of your query I think would be impacted by the requirement to designate a specific port in utorrent for port forwarding depending upon the server you connect to.

I reviewed several: Cyberghost, TorGuard, IPVanish and others,  prior to choosing PIA and most informed me that they DO NOT support torrent traffic.

Not sure if any of this helps but at least its a starting place when you compare VPN service providers.

PS: I pay $39.95 yearly (slightly higher rate when billed monthly like $8.00US/mo maybe?) and think the cost is more than reasonable when considering the service compared to other VPN providers but please, exercise due diligence to meet your particular needs. There are several relevant discussions located across the forum (type VPN in the forum SEARCH field above)

I'd recommend to use a port in the 30 000 range

If you use a VPN or Proxy service, you should consult it's help and FAQ pages to see if something special needs to be done for port forwarding. I had one a proxy service not allowing portforwarding (BT Guard), causing tracking issues with GayTorrent.ru, then a VPN forwarding "all" ports and now a VPN forwarding only a dedicated port, which needs to be set in the torrent client as the port used.

My VPN service specifies dedicated port settings depending on which server location I connect to (of the multitude of options, they recommend certain locations that more fully support torrent traffic)

Trust your connectability issues have been resolved.

Yes, the pics do in fact depict His Mother's Lover (the scene I liked was the xgen shower seen with the brother…even tho the 'stepdad' couldn't seem to 'keep it up' ; a concept totally alien to me  I may add, especially given the yumminess of the 'son')
