I think todays press conference is going to go down in history as the beginning of the end for America.

We already have food deserts in the US.  This problem would get much worse without food stamps.  These areas would fall even deeper into poverty.

I do agree about the soda and all that.  That also is an issue in food deserts.  Convenience stores are the only option for some people and they mainly sell junk food.  Many states do incentivize people to buy healthy food at farmers markets by doubling the SNAP balance spent at the farmers market.  It helps the farmer and the person buying the food.

My biggest issue with food stamps is how the grocery stores take advantage.  I live in a low income largely immigrant community and there is a particular grocery chain that jacks up the prices in this low income neighborhood because people who use food stamps are not as price sensitive and will pay higher prices.  i drive to the next town over that is a very high income town and the prices there are lower.  It shouldn't be this way.

Trump said today that the "real story" is that there are leaks in the White House.  In other words the problem is not Flynn's actions…..it's that he got caught.  This is horrifying.  Even if you are corrupt enough to think this you aren't supposed to say it!

I saw on Facebook photos of her stuff at TJX stores marked down to $1 from $20-$40.  I don't know if they were real or not but I imagine these stores just want to clear out the merchandise and get this political burden off their shoulders.

The whole rise of Bruce Jenner was in response to the ridiculous "bathroom bills" coming from the right.  The Daily Show did the best bit on this on why it is so ridiculous.  They opened a food truck in NC and every male who walked up to the truck was refused service on the basis of them looking gay.  These men were likely not gay.  They were just random guys trying to buy lunch but it shows the absurdity of the thinking from the right.

This week they are all bent out of shape because private businesses have made business decisions to not carry Ivanka's products.  This is exactly the sorrt of  thing that Republicans preach.  A private business should be allowed to sell whatever they want.  I actually heard Judge Jeanine on her show say to someone on the street. "Why shouldn't I be allowed to buy these shoes?".  Isn't  the real question "why should retailers be forced to sell a product that they don't want to sell?"

Ivanka is free to sell her products directly.  She can sell online.  She can open her  own stores.  She can sell at other retailers.  She can sell them on Ebay if she wants.  That's the great thing about America.  She has freedom…..and so do Nordstrom and TJX.

It's a fantastic series!  And yeah, you're not alone on the Mac love…  Totally fell for the big closet case!

I really love how they very slowly dropped hints about the gay thing for so long without ever really addressing it.  Then around season 7 the other four acknowledged to each  other that Mac was gay but didn't really address it with Mac.  It really is the way people often behave when dealing with a friends sexuality but it never plays out that way on a tv show.

I also wonder if the world is around long enough (provided Trump doesn't blow it up) if race will still exist or if eventually we are all just so mixed that we are just all the same color.

How do you think your family will react?  Are you living at home with them?

It's pretty silly to believe polls at all at this point.  They all said Trump would lose.

Does anyone watch this?  I just binged watched the entire thing and I love it.  I don't know how this show has escaped me for the past 12 years!  I'm all caught up to the most recent episode where Mac finally comes out of the closet!!  Hopefully this means some hot gay sex.  I have the biggest crush on him.

I LOVED this movie.  I live about 10 miles from Manchester.  It's always really important to me that the actors get the Boston accent right in films that take place here.  Everyone nailed it in this film especially Michelle Williams.  I think her accent was better than mine!  I wish she had a bigger role.  I also thought Casey Affleck and the actor who played the nephew were amazing.

I really liked this movie.  I had no idea about so many of those details.  The McDonald brothers really got screwed!  $100 million per year!  Poor guys.  Michael Keaton did a phenomenal job as Ray Kroc.

I need to get around to watching this show.
