Is this site owned and operated by one person or group?

I see the admin had some family issues and thus the transition to the new domain took a backseat. Understandable. And I hope all is well.
But it's got me wondering. Is the site ran by only one person or a small group of people? This is one of the most important sites I visit and I hate to think it would all go away if something happened to the owner(s).
If it is ran by one person or a couple of people, is there any contingency plan in case something happens to them? Like is this website backed up and can be published/ran by someone else?

@dretafari This question isn't likely to get an official answer: The owner(s)/operator(s) of the torrent site prefer to keep the inner workings confidential, for their protection and the protection of the site. This is quite understandable given the complexity of the legal issues involved.
I have a hunch, though, that there is some robust planning to keep things going in the event of unforeseen problems. Several years ago the site vanished completely, but was back within a few months.

@eobox91103 Oh thanks for the response. And I guess you're right. Wasn't trying to pry. It makes sense tho. Thanks again.

All I know is that there is a volunteer staff that runs the place. MOST of the staff are nice, but sometimes "firm" in enforcing the rules. My guess is that being on Staff can be stressful, because I've seen some staff come on-board and disappear after a short while. Others (like @raphjd - the Administrator of these Forums) have been around a long (long... long...) while!
I've been around since 2008... not staff, just observant...
From a tech side, they use CloudFlare (seen when there are connection issues ) - and that hides all of the internal workings...

I am not going to speculate on who owns and operates this site..
However, this site is quite extraordinary.. forget about it's content. This is the best organized and laid out torrent site there is.. and even includes QTM which usually works.
It would be tragic if this site were to go away, if the owners, operators decided they had enough, and needed to move on to other things.
Some of you will remember that several years ago - this site WAS gone for several months, and it was said that it would NOT be coming back.. but of course it did return.

@bi4smooth Sorry for the late response. And 2008? Holy fuck! thats awesome!

@lololulu19 Yeah it is. One of the reasons i posted the question too. I sometimes use the other site gay-torrent i think. But its search horrible and they rarely have what i want if it's not on here. I first came to this site for one video, then I realize how much content it actually had and decided to start uploading stuff to be able to keep downloading. Now, my ratio is so high, im just addicted to sharing content I have with others. This site is a real gem for gay porn.

this site literally has let me have an outlet to find sexual gratification when I had nothing but my own imagination which is wonderful but sometimes not enough. thank you and I would donate more if could but i give what i can.

@dretafari Technically, a site only needs 1 site administrator to keep the site going. One person is sufficient to pay the bills and provide ongoing server maintenance.
The moderation of torrents and the forums probably requires multiple volunteers (and all of their work is much appreciated!). However, I don't think those volunteer moderators would have root access to the server to provide business continuity.
In any case, I also hope that this site stays online for many years to come . I am relatively new to GTRU (but not to gay torrenting!), and I can't believe it took this many years to find this awesome place.
