I tried twice today to create and post a torrent (The Guy Site Halloween Special) using Quick Torrent Maker...and had to delete it twice because I got an error message when trying to load the .torrent into uTorrent. It said something about an "invalid torrent file" or something. I then successfully uploaded my torrent doing it directly on the site...and had no problems with it that way.

It's my considered thought that because of that certificate update on the site a week ago, QTM will no longer work, and needs to be revised/updated somehow to correctly work with the new certificate on the site. I've never had any issues using QTM in the past, and I think this certificate change is the reason I had the problem today.

Mods and Admins please take note, and has anyone else had an issue with QTM since the certificate change?

Your SEED speed cannot exceed the LEECH speed of the combined LEECHERS.

In other words, if the downloaders have slow Internet speeds, your UPLOAD speeds won't matter.

A couple of potential issues:

Your Transmission client may not be seeding when the download completes. Your Transmission client may be stopping your seeding once a threshhold is met.

If you've uploaded a new torrent and seeded it - and people are successful at snatching it - you should see your uploaded data value change within 24-hours.

So, there are 2 options:

The torrent client ALREADY HAS the torrent (some do that when they CREATE the torrent. Because it was already there, and because it's a "private" torrent, the trackers aren't "merged" so only the original (useless) one remains.
TO FIX: Delete the torrent (being CAREFUL to NOT DELETE the DATA!) in your client, then re-download from the site

The torrent client does not see the files that makeup the torrent in your default download location... you need to tell the torrent client WHERE the file(s) already exist. Otherwise, it thinks this is a new download.
TO FIX: Delete the torrent (being CAREFUL to NOT DELETE the DATA!) in your client, then re-download from the site - and point your client to the RIGHT location of where you file(s) actually exist!

Leave it a day, just in case, and if it has not been resolved on its own, contact the helpdesk.

It is possible that others already owns that existing file that you shared, others rename and replicate [of what you posted] in order to exactly match the files ... This is known as Super-seeding ...
