I think the arguments around this game are a hilarious double standard. A lot of those SJWs complain that when they constantly try to shame other people for having their viewpoints or silence them or call them sexist that "it's not censorship." Then when an obviously Japanese spokesperson writes on Facebook that one of the reasons they're not taking a chance with localizing this game is because of the climate, they say that it isn't censorship.
That's bull honkey, because first of all there are two types of censorship, internal and external. For instance, when you decide to put on clothes to go outside, you're censoring yourself to conform to the standards of polite society. Or when a writer decides to tone down their work because they may have gone over the top, that too, is censoring yourself. So yeah, not every from of censorship is necessarily bad, but this idea that all historical censorship came from a direct imperative from government is naive. There are plenty of places and times where it developed because of extreme social ostracizing. Gay people know this only too well. It's like saying, "Gay people suck, but I'm not censoring you, because you have the right to do what you want." It's completely ridiculous.
But anyway, I just hope one day they make Dead or Alive Xtreme game where you can ogle the men! >:D
