      I feel like there should be a law against this….even for the President.  For all we know that translator could be a Hillary Clinton operative looking to take Trump down.

      That is not going to happen.  It is damned near impossible to impeach a president - and since the house and senate are controlled by the republicans, it's not going to happen (nor should it even be considered).

      You would be considering it had Hillary won…

      @aadam101:

      So you think that him doing nothing on ObamaCare is an accomplishment? How many times did he promise to repeal it IMMEDIATELY?

      Anyone can do nothing. I'm doing it right now.

      Youtube Video

      The issue of Obamacare is not under the control of Trump.  That is under the control of Congress.  The only thing Trump can do is veto what Congress comes up with.

      Excuses, Excuses, the same excuse you Trump supporters will use when he doesn't build the wall, or lower taxes.

      I'd love to see a less aggressive US foreign policy towards the Middle East and peace there as well. Not sure if this is the right way, but let's just wait and see.

    • Breitbart’s White House reporter is trying to hold Trump accountable. Seriously.

      Since you generally can’t watch White House news briefings these days, you might think you’ve been missing farcical question-and-answer sessions in which President Trump’s spokesmen can always avoid a tough inquiry by calling on the reporter from Breitbart News.

      You would be wrong.

      The briefings are becoming farcical, all right — White House press secretary Sean Spicer and his deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, often say they don’t know the answers to basic questions — but Breitbart is not the problem. In fact, the pro-Trump website’s White House correspondent, Charlie Spiering, seems determined to hold the president accountable for promises he made to the voters who supported him (and who read Breitbart).

      @Frederick:

      @aadam101:

      Exactly. We need all three. We do need single payer. I'm glad we agree on something.

      I hope you realize that a significant number of people will oppose any changes - even if they benefit them - just out of fear.
      That Obamacare is a failure.  I'm afraid that it must be either repealed before it collapses completely, or - as it looks like what will actually happen - is that it will collapse completely.  In cold political terms.. I think the number of people who would be thrilled to not be required to purchase health care plans that they don't want  outnumber the people who would be pissed off about it.

      One more thing to consider.. the VA system of healthcare is a disaster.   That being the case, why should we expect that the federal government can manage healthcare for the entire population?  The federal government.. and really all levels of government.. are terrible at managing anything.  This country was built upon the premise of free-markets and competition.   When you impose subsidies, grants, insurance, etc.   The whole system fails.

      Are you implying no funding for Veterans? Wow you ultra conservatives really want to save every penny.

      Yeah! Why support the American citizens when you can build up the military industrial complex!

      "Underscoring bipartisan support for higher defense spending in Congress, 117 Democrats joined 227 Republicans in backing the measure. Only eight Republicans and 73 Democrats voted no."

      Looks like Trump and the Republicans are gearing up for the next major U.S. war. And his supporters will support him no matter how many lives are lost.

      Sadly, that is necessary.. mainly due to Sheik Obama.
      As many people will remember, Barack Hussein Obama (aka Barry Soetoro) pledged to have all the troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq within his first year in office in 2008.  Well, it's 2017 - and they are still there.   Then, ISIS was created and spread like a cancer across the world under the watch of Obama.  Then, Obama allowed North Korea to develop ICBMs and nuclear weapons…  So now, Trump is forced to either ramp up the military to take care of North Korea, or allow California to get nuked.   I personally expect North Korea to smuggle a dirty nuke into the massive shipping port of California, and detonate it - disrupting trade globally.
      Oh, another thing Obama did.. he virtually killed off NASA.   Under Obama, no more space shuttle program, nothing to replace it, and nothing done during his 8 year regime in the area of space.
      Let's not forget that Obama's home town of Chicago was a virtual war zone during his regime - which he ignored.   Also.. don't forget how Mr. Obama and his supposed dedication to the environment and health allowed the massive city of Flint Michigan to have water so contaminated with lead that it was undrinkable.. and when discovered, did nothing.

      Lol, Trump, the guy who has ties to military weapons manufacturers (Boeing and Lockheed Martin) is "Forced" to ramp up military spending consideing we spend the more than our enemies combined. And then you blame Obama, because that is always gonna be the excuse for Trump's agenda. Sad!

      Facebook is a private company and free speech (the first amendment) only protect you from the government restricting your speech. You're still subject to the rules and TOS of FB, and if you violate them then they can terminate your account. Since you like to post somewhat obscene/provocative content here, I can only image what you posted on your FB account.

      Also, I don't see the political angle here, nor the debate, I guess this is just another rant, allowed by our moderator for obvious reasons.

      And Frederick, if you don't like Facebook, nobody is forcing you to use it, I personally don't have a FB account, and likely never will. There are also plenty of alternatives that may suit your needs.

    • RE: This pretty much sums up the Trump Presidency

      @aadam101:

      I have been totally perplexed at the behavior of Trump supporters.  They claim they support Trump and that they like what he is doing but yet none of them can tell us why.  It's like they are under some sort of spell.  If you ask one a question about Trump they immediately deflect and start to bash Obama or Hillary.  They don't even mention Trump.  It's like they are ashamed or something.

      Well this guy didn't stoop so low as to bash Clinton and Obama (he was on TV after all) but he wasn't able to say anything about Trump.  Not a single word.  He spoke very eloquently at first.  He said he was happy about all of the promises that Trump had made.  Then the reporter asking for specifics.  He quite literally didn't have a single intelligible word.

      It;s time for Trump supporters to sit down and really think about what they have done.

      Youtube Video

      A Trump Supporter's daily routine:

      Defend Trump
      Defend Trump
      Defend Trump
      Praise Putin
      Defend Trump
      Defend Trump
      Defend Trump

      Oh and did I mention, Defend Trump? Well, it is said that their guy always puts them in this position where they have to defend his every action, not matter how foolish, unethical, immoral, or down-right insane.

      Thankfully centrism is growing.

      I'm glad the Central Park Five were able to receive some compensation from NYC, however, it won't make up for their years of wrongful imprisonment.

      #45, even after the men were exonerated, still presumes they are guilty even with no evidence, just assumptions. His supporters on this board are quick to come to his defense, yet provide no factual evidence, just their own assumptions (and possibly racial prejudices).

      To deny their fact of exoneration is the same as denying Obama's birth certificate which, ironically, #45 accepts.

    • RE: Secret Service turns on Trump

      @Frederick:

      @aadam101:

      Wrong. Trump was only a Presidential candidate at the time. His family didn't yet have Secret Service protection.

      Also it's not the job of the Secret Service to lie for the President. Your entire statement above is nothing buy deflection because you refuse to accept the real issue. Donald J Trump is a big fat orange liar.

      Wrong, upon becoming the presidential candidate, the nominee is automatically protected by the Secret Service.  While it is not the job of the Secret Service to lie for the President.. it IS the job of the Secret Service to keep their mouths shut.  Anything that a secret service agent sees or hears or thinks is confidential and not to be shared with the media or frankly anybody.  There job is to protect the president and his family, and keep their mouths shut, nothing else.  By the way, the CIA and the FBI are not allowed to be making unauthorized public statements either.  Mr. Comey could still be in a lot of trouble.

      Wrong again! Nobody is denying that #45 had Secret Service protection, what we are saying is that it did not extend to his family at time of #45 Jr.'s meeting with the Russian.

      @beast775:

      Trump paid Putin to "hack" the election.  How do I know this?  I watched a gay democrat scream it at a TV.

      Are you farming Seed Bonus points with your non-sensical posts?  Even Trump now admits the Russians meddled in the election, and his son was more than willing to use that information to benefit the campaign.  We all should be concerned about how to prevent it in the future, because we have no idea whose side they will attack in the next election.

      I like Putin.  If he ran for president of the US I'd vote for him and Obama and Hillary would both be taking  a dirt nap.

      What I find reprehensible is mhorndisk's defense of free speech while threatening to sue over criticism of the president. He really should move to some nice cozy  authoritarian regime like Russia or Turkey.  He will be much happier there, as long as he stays closeted.

      You're butt hurt because Trump thought they should be executed before they were exonerated, after they confessed?

      There was no death penalty in New York when Trump argued for it.  That's enough for me to get "butt hurt."

      Oh, so a private citizen can't call for a state to get/use death penalty?

      I see another case of liberals hating free speech.
