Sounding feels really crazy, but in a good way. I think the only word for it is "intense". I didn't actually start experimenting with it until after having to have a catheter put in once, which was both oddly exhilarating and unpleasant at the same time (the sour man-nurse who put it in was kind of rough about it). Either way, my urethra is fine… I do it very seldom now, but it's perfectly safe if you're careful and use the right kinds of sounds, lubricants and sanitary procedures.
