In the 4th grade, I had a bunch of amateur stylists cut (hack) my apparently-overlong poverty-bowlcut with school scissors in front of my teacher, at her command. The fact that these artists are allegedly popular among gay men has absolutely 0 relevance in the context of a porn/gay interest film tracker.

Everything I've ever heard by them just sounds like a more tuneless, atonal and quasi-industrial, pomp-laden version of Nickelback. I don't understand their popularity at all.

"Indie" is an incredibly vague and non-specific descriptor to go by. There's been a thread like this before where I pointed out the same thing. Never got an answer as to exactly what the person was looking for in terms of "indie" music, so I didn't waste my time offering recommendations.

It's worth keeping in mind that getting the very best quality digital transfers of VHS is pretty involved (meaning, it requires some research and spending money on the appropriate equipment if you haven't already got it). You can have a tape in great condition and still end up with a transfer that looks like complete trash. Most of the VHS transferring tools the average person chooses are the equivalent of one of those shitty Crosley USB turntables for "digitizing" vinyl. The average person will just search for products on Amazon ("VHS ripper" or something like that) and opt to buy the simplest, cheapest made in China crap available (usually a device like this), doing little research into how to do things the best way. I'd be willing to bet money that a large portion of VHS rips on this site were recorded through the composite output on a VCR, for example.

My point is, it's often less about the format (VHS is perfectly adequate) than it is about the average person's transferring techniques, assuming the source tape isn't an nth generation copy, or one used/abused heavily and in a poorly maintained VCR to begin with.

All I have to say is this: Whoopi leaving America would've been a blessing. I lost any iota of respect I had for her after the whole "rape-rape" thing. I really wish she'd fuck off and go live with her good buddy, Roman Polanski.
