i bet we'd get more attention if we started burning crosses on the lawns of people, too.  But we shouldn't have to resort to that to get heard.

I've been wearing this certain pair of khaki pants for some time, now.  Last week, though, i had a horrible experience.  I was at work, just chatting with a coworker, when i felt something poking my side.

I slipped my left thumb into my belt area, and got a nasty cut on the joint of my thumb and my palm.  upon going to the restroom, I found something sharp pointing out of the area of the belt. you know, the part where there are two sheets of cloth to make the belt area thicker than the rest of the pants.  i pulled out the metal point, and i saw that it ended in a right angle, so i turned the thing and kept pulling it out.  eventually i got the whole object out, and it was actually a textile staple, about half an inch in height.

i got goosebumps all over because i was paranoid about the fact that i could have been poked with a half-inch of staple on my side.

Not that I'm going to stop wearing those pants, but it was a horrible experience.  It made me cold all over thinking that I've been wearing the pair for at least a year by now.  On the other hand, i'm also grateful that the staple stayed flat against the two layers of cloth before last week.

i wonder why some people are hellbent on us not having the same rights as they do.  if for the visitation rights alone, i would think that most of the legislators will understand that we're more than just boyfriends, we're partners.  and i would definitely call my partner my next of kin.  why can't people understand that?

i'm more vanilla than anything else.  would love to try a sling once, though.

compliment him on something, then ask him how he did it (like if he has abs or something) then invite him for coffee. 

idiocy is idiocy, no matter in what setting.  i think the fact that it's not his first time to do this means that he really doesn't learn.  he should be fined for discrimination.

still, i think it's insane how they don't actually do their jobs properly.  I think that the loss of faith in one's own government is a much more terrible thing than the loss from having your car repaired.  of course, that assumes that you had faith in the government in the first place
