I'm seeing quite a few more AI enhanced videos uploaded here, and I wondered how the site rules regarding duplicate content will apply? Per item 2 in the rules, a second enhanced and/or upscaled video would likely be considered a duplicate, as it likely "has the same format and similar size."

The problem, though, is that there may be considerable differences between two enhanced versions. If we don't allow duplicates, then a really awful enhanced version, uploaded first, might be the only version allowed. But if we allow duplicates, then we could see a dozen different enhanced versions with limited ability for the rest of us to determine which of them to download, not to mention the site clutter.

As far as I know, this isn't a problem yet, and it may not be one for months, if ever. Just wondering if the rules might change as video enhancing tools become cheaper and more widely used.

Related: I wouldn't mind having a rating system specifically for the quality of the video rip/enhancement. I've seen quite a few videos where I wanted to give the content 5 stars, but the rip or enhancement 1 star, and vice versa. Just something to think about.

@lololulu19 : It took me 30 seconds on Google to find examples of porn studios winning lawsuits and using the threat of legal action to force sharers and sites to settle. I've even given you a clue about one such studio in my last post. Your failure to do even basic research on a subject that you have repeatedly and vehemently posted about is duly noted.

There are many sites that do. typically these other sites charge you a monthly subscription fee.. so you can download content from them that they do not own. Many of these sites have you pay by the minute to view this content.

If you're referring to the main streaming and download porn sites (TLAVideo, AEBN, Gay-Movie, Gay-Top, etc.), they have all licensed the content they make available. The studios take a cut of the fees.

With that said.. let me point out what IS illegal.. SELLING content that does not belong to you.

So is copying something and handing it over to someone else, even if you don't charge. You're still violating their copyright and, presumably, depriving them of a sale. You're simply wrong that money has to change hands for it to be illegal.

Porn studios have pursued these cases in the past, albeit with mixed success. They've won some; they've lost some. Generally, their most effective tactic has been to threaten a lawsuit and settle with the individual or site, since defending yourself is expensive, tedious, stressful, and time-consuming. Titan Media, in particular, used to be very successful with this model and, contrary to your confident assertion, were able to obtain money from quite a few file sharers.

Titan was successful enough and abusive enough during their most active litigious period that the two major gay porn torrent sites at that time both banned sharing of their videos. One of the torrent sites today still has that ban.

This is something I'm reasonably familiar with, having previously been attacked by one of the studios several years ago. It took hiring a lawyer to get them to back off from their threats against me.

I look at it this way: if you had an annoying friend, an abusive boyfriend or spouse, someone with a severe personality disorder (who doesn't try to deal with it), someone who mentally/emotionally abuses you, who constantly belittles you, etc., I think there would be near-universal agreement that you should disengage, stop trying to be friends, divorce them, do what you need to do to protect yourself, both physically and emotionally.

So why should it be different just because it's a family member. Life is too short to put up that shit and you're just not going to be able to "fix" them or the situation. Set boundaries, disengage, even terminate all contact if that's what it takes. Your life will be significantly improved.

@john32123666 : I've seen that twice in the past 24 hours. Both times, I refreshed the browser page and the upload then succeeded. I think it's another manifestation of the site's current problems.

@ham0911 : There is a known issue that is causing problems for a lot of people. The site admins are working with the sysop folks to solve it. For now, the approach that seems to be working for most is:

1. Instead of logging in to gaytor.rent , instead log in to the old site: gaytorrent.ru .

2. Upload just one picture rather than a full set. You should probably make the picture a small one, 100kb or less, but that's something that we're still not sure about. You may get an error in this step but keep trying. I usually have to do this 3 to 5 times before it finally sticks. If it fails, just reload the page and try again.

3. Complete the process to upload your torrent. As with step 2, this may fail and you may have to try it again a couple of times.

4. With the torrent now added, you can use the "add pictures" link to add your remaining pictures. As with steps 2 and 3, this may initially fail but persistence will win out. Plus, you'll get a few extra seed points for adding the pictures once a site admin approves them.

5. Download the torrent and seed it as you normally would. You can do this either from gaytorrent.ru or from gaytor.rent.

Yeah, this is a real pain but until this is fixed these are the only steps we know of that should result in eventual success.

Please note that steps 2, 3, and 4 might not fail at all. It's pretty variable as to whether you'll get an error or whether it will succeed right away. You might have to retry each step 5 times; you might not have to retry them at all. Once they fix the site problem, things should return to normal.

@Apothos : It's not as complicated as that, fortunately. The old site is still around, so all you have to do is browse to gaytorrent.ru and login with your regular username and password.

Then all you have to do is find the torrent on GTRU and download it from there. The torrent file from GTRU should work just fine.

@Douseikekkon : It started happening to me, as well. I finally did manage to upload a torrent just a few minutes ago, though. What ended up working for me was three things:

1. Only upload one picture and make that picture less than 100k.

2. Log in to gaytorrent.ru and do the torrent upload from that site rather than from gaytor.rent.

3. Patience and multiple tries. It took half a dozen attempts but finally persistence paid off and I managed to upload a torrent.

Good luck! And here's hoping the site will fix this because I won't go through this again.

What this thread reminds me of is the stereotypical turn-of-the-century Englishman in a foreign country who doesn't quite understand that not everyone speaks English. When the native population doesn't understand him, he repeats what he said, only slower and louder, as though that will fix the problem.

It's pretty clear that he doesn't have to defend his posts on the other forums he frequents because everyone there speaks the same language: It's a shared faith and a shared view of the world and everything is black-and-white. A story like this would have everyone nodding in agreement because of course it's true; no questions need to be asked; no skepticism is warranted.

After all, it's obvious that Democrats are liars, that Biden is senile and corrupt, that the Deep State routinely intervenes in political affairs and reporting, that the mainstream media is biased towards liberals and completely untrustworthy, etc. Why is it that we don't get that? How can we not see what is so intuitively obvious? Hence, repeating the same talking points over and over again, getting angrier each time, because the problem must be with us, not with him.

As far as I can tell, nobody has seen the laptop, let alone examined it, mostly because those pushing this story never made the laptop available.
