A New Zealand airline said Monday it was cutting an in-flight safety video showing an All Black player refusing to kiss a male flight attendant after complaints it could spur gay suicides.
The airline said it had agreed to remove a scene from the video featuring All Black centre Richard Kahui politely turning down a request to give gay flight attendant Will Coxhead a peck on the cheek.
"The move comes after complaints from members of the gay and lesbian community in the past week," Air NZ said in a statement.
The flag carrier said a university professor, whom it did not name, had raised concerns the homosexual rejection could lead to gay male suicides.
The light-hearted video called "Crazy About Rugby" shows All Blacks running through safety procedures for passengers boarding Air NZ flights.
The offending scene had All Black pin-up Kahui posing for photographs with female flight attendants then shaking his head, holding up his hands and refusing to pucker up when Coxhead points to his cheek hoping for a kiss.
The airline's operations and safety manager David Morgan said it had not anticipated the scene being viewed as distasteful or causing concern.
"We have opted on the side of caution and are changing out the scene," he said.
Coxhead, a real-life flight attendant with the airline, said he was "absolutely gutted" at the complaints over a scene he described as a bit of fun.
"I'm proud to be gay, proud to be an Air NZ and extremely proud of my role in the safety video," he said.
"Obviously there are some people in the gay community that can be a little precious and need to lighten up."

I've noticed that there is little in the way of classification or 'screening' of music content for 'gay interest' on here, while videos are scrutinised. I'm certainly not criticising those who upload them, but I've always thought that music torrents stick out like a sore thumb for those with a vested interest in clamping down on 'copyright material'
I'm always amazed at the lack of trolling and drama on this site, the mods certainly keep things hassle-free. I don't know what kind of voyeur videos you have uploaded stealfire, but I have downloaded a fair few hidden cam in locker room videos. For those ones that I don't think are staged, I only give a passing thought to the privacy of those on screen, I'm afraid horniness usually wins.
I've always wondered about the site's policy on celebrity 'sex tapes'. I presume they would be outlawed on the grounds it may bring unwanted attention to the site on legal grounds. I have several involving football/rugby players being very naughty on cam, but wouldn't dream of posting them for that very reason. Besides, it's just hetro action and obviously no one on here would be interested in fit sportsmen indulging in that. 
As Uwe indicated, this subject has been debated in a couple of threads on here. Torchwood would seem a relevant candidate due to the content, not least the character of Captain Jack being bisexual (or more accurately, he'd shag anything). I know that Doctor Who has a big gay following from various messageboard sites, and I have thought of posting episodes myself. But if you struggle to think of an obvious 'gay interest' it's probably best to err on the side of caution and leave it. However, you could start a thread in the TV section of the forum for those interested in that brilliant show

He said condoms could reduce the risk of infection with HIV, such as for a prostitute, in a series of interviews he gave to a German journalist.
The Vatican newspaper ran excerpts on Saturday.
The comments appear to soften the Roman Catholic Church's hardline stance, which until now had banned the use of any form of contraception.
When asked whether the Catholic Church is "fundamentally against the use of condoms", the Pope is said to have replied, in the book entitled Light of the World: The Pope, the Church and the Signs of the Times:
"It of course does not see it as a real and moral solution.
"In certain cases, where the intention is to reduce the risk of infection, it can nevertheless be a first step on the way to another, more humane sexuality," he said.
The Pope gives the example of the use of condoms by prostitutes as "a first step towards moralisation", even though condoms are "not really the way to deal with the evil of HIV infection".

On a visit to Cameroon last year, the Pope said the use of condoms could endanger public health and increase the problem of HIV/Aids, rather than help to contain the virus. This drew criticism from several EU states.
Campaigners say condoms are one of the few methods proven to stop the spread of HIV. The book is due to be published on Tuesday"
