That's just silly. Would you rather have them sated by wanking to fiction, or would you rather they have no outlet and go out experimenting on people? Are you suggesting that people who enjoy watching Clive Barker's erotic horror movies will go out and do that to people? I'm pretty sure they don't. They just enjoy the movies.

To whom would you give the power to determine what you're allowed to read or view? Why would you give that kind of power to someone?

It is immoral to shift blame for one's own actions onto someone else. It's your choice to marry someone you aren't attracted to and ruin her life. That's your call and only you are responsible. Blaming society is such a cop out.

gays have married women for ages in western societies. I dont see any problem with that. Others, just never married and it was perfectly fine.( great names like Turing, Proust..) I'm here of course speaking for UK, France, Germany. Until very very recently it seems, suddenly, what worked for thousands of years is now a problem, because modern societies are all about "number one". Therefore any minorities nowadays try to make the society change their behavior instead of adapting to it.
Now of course I can't speak for the third and fourth worlds.

There's only a problem when deceit is involved. If she's aware of it and okay with it before you marry her, there is no problem. If you lie to her and use her, that's wrong.

The reason straight people consider it wrong is because it produces genetically aberrant offspring. Once placed under scrutiny, this taboo doesn't make much sense when applied to gay pairings. What's the difference between two unrelated gay men having a loving relationship and two gay male cousins having a loving relationship? If nobody knew they were related, there would be no difference. No offspring are created. If they were the last two people on Earth, would it matter?

This is so very sad that it's even being considered in 2016. Of course it's wrong. It's a lie to her, it's a lie to your children, and worst of all, it's a lie to yourself and throwing away your one short life.

If he destroys your friendship over that, he isn't really a friend and he is doing you a favour.

What a glorious post! Children are black holes where your money and your dreams go to die. It's as if men and women are fundamentally incompatible except for biological reproduction. Being gay isn't a negative thing. It's like winning the lottery.

He said he's about 50/50 bisexual, meaning: He can choose. You would think gay people, of all people, would be more open to the idea of there being different sexualities than the one they were born with. I've been in a relationship with a bisexual man for many years. He's not confused. He's not untrustworthy. He's not greedy. He likes pussy and he likes dick.

Playing devil's advocate here, I have a better question for you:

Is being straight worth it?

How much does it cost to raise a kid? In 2014 the average was about $250,000 per child (excluding post-secondary education). That's only going to go up with inflation.

Personal anecdote: All of my heterosexual, child-rearing siblings are miserable. Once they had kids, they pissed away their futures. They are in loveless relationships bound by the duty of raising the many children they thought would bring them happiness. They'll never have clean houses. They can't enjoy adult entertainment. They'll never have the money to travel, to see live shows, have a nice car, or to buy nice things.

The writing is on the wall. Our planet and our species are doomed. Enjoy your short life now. I wouldn't condemn children to grow up in a destroyed world.
