PS. @hubrys far from Tucker being dead, he's just getting started. another Obi Wan situation, like Trump. HAHAHAHhahahhahaha!

I'm sure he's not gone. Already several state-run Russian media outlets have already offered him jobs on their networks via Twitter and Telegram. I guess he can now cut out the middleman and go work for Russia directly instead of just surreptitiously.

@raphjd said in Tucker Carlson is terminated from FOX News:

A couple of reports I read said that News Corps/Fox News would pay out his remaining contract; $20 mill per year remaining.
That's according to "a source inside Fox News".
That doesn't sound like he's been fired.

That's the beauty of a well-crafted employment contract. Even if you're fired, they still have to pay you until the time period terms are up.

Think of it like an apartment lease. If you move out before your lease is up, you're still obligated to pay rent even if you aren't living there anymore.

    • RE: Georgia trans person faces more than 50 child sex abuse felonies following arrest at daycare

@raphjd Oh, you caught me again trying to push my secret pro-rapist agenda. Clever, boy! </sarcasm>

The gist of your statements here, as well as the multitude of other posts within this Forum, is "Trans people rape and molest." That statement is as prejudiced as the statement, "Black people steal."

You're ascribing the actions of singular individuals to an entire group of people that share some common trait with the individual, with no causal argument linking that common trait with the actions of the individual. You don't even think you need a causal argument, because you're a transphobe who thinks all trans people are deviants. You think its just "common sense" or a priori true that transexualism causes rape/molestation tendencies.

You assume that causal connection and that's why we all call you and your sock puppets on here who agree with you in your little echo chamber here, transphobes.

    • RE: Detransitioner speaks

How common is transgender treatment regret, detransitioning?

HOW OFTEN DO TRANSGENDER PEOPLE REGRET TRANSITIONING?

In updated treatment guidelines issued last year, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health said evidence of later regret is scant, but that patients should be told about the possibility during psychological counseling.

Dutch research from several years ago found no evidence of regret in transgender adults who had comprehensive psychological evaluations in childhood before undergoing puberty blockers and hormone treatment.

Some studies suggest that rates of regret have declined over the years as patient selection and treatment methods have improved. In a review of 27 studies involving almost 8,000 teens and adults who had transgender surgeries, mostly in Europe, the U.S and Canada, 1% on average expressed regret. For some, regret was temporary, but a small number went on to have detransitioning or reversal surgeries, the 2021 review said.

Research suggests that comprehensive psychological counseling before starting treatment, along with family support, can reduce chances for regret and detransitioning.

As I've explained elsewhere, Trans so-called "science" is famously, FAMOUSLY, politicized, biased, whitewashed.

So, what I'm reading is that you reject modern statistical science, and instead think we should rely on cherry-picked anecdotal science. I see...you're a moron then? Well, that's cleared up then.

Hey genius, you just admitted J6 "insurrection" was fake.

So, are you retarded or something? Did your mother drop you one-too-many times on your head?

The cartoon is mocking the GOP's beliefs about the named things, not insinuating that those things don't exist in the first place.

For example, clearly Critical Race Theory exists; it's taught in colleges across the country. But the GOP's ideas that our children in grade schools are being indoctrinated in it is the nonsense.

I don't think the cartoon has to be explained to anyone here but you. Libs aren't bad at memes; conservatives are just bad at interpreting. I guess that's why so many conservative memes just come straight out and say things; no similes or metaphors.

    • Federal prosecutors charge George Santos with 13 counts.

These Are the Charges Against George Santos

Posted here because the conservatives here previously decided that they support Santos and refuse to acknowledge he did anything wrong.

He had political donors donate approximately $50,000 to a fake super-PAC (RedStone Strategies), which he then transferred to himself and paid off his car and credit cards as well as purchased luxury goods and designer clothing.

He has also been scamming the State of New York out of unemployment benefits since June 2020 by hiding the fact that he was employed by a Florida-based investment firm, illegally collecting more than $25,000 in benefits.

Also, he lied to Congress on his financial disclosures by overstating his income from one business and failed to disclose the salary from the Florida-based investment firm. It also appears that his claim to have been paid $750,000 (plus $1 to $5 million in dividend payments) from Devolder Organization never happened.

He claimed to have used these payments as the source of funds for the over $700,000 personal donation to his second House campaign. So, where did the money come from, then?

Having said the above, I now cue the conservatives to run into this post and post their "But what about..." in order to ignore the crimes committed by one of the GOP's representatives.

    • RE: SPLC facing the music

@blablarg18 I imagine it's because, despite your bullshit news sources choice of headline words, it isn't a "massive legal victory." The case is not over; it was just a decision on a preliminary motion to dismiss, within which the rules of civil procedure state that the judge must presume, for purposes of deciding the motion, that the facts alleged by the non-moving party are true.

In other words, The Dustin Inman Society haven't proven their allegations as true. The court had to presume them true for purposes of deciding the motion.

Far from a massive legal victory, the lawsuit has barely even started.

@raphjd said in Whiny liberal member wants me removed so he can have an echo chamber.:

Oddly, the most recent liberal bragged about how great he has been on the site, to justify why he should get his way. WHen I checked his account, the site says he is using multiple IP addresses.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the liberal you're talking about, but just wanted to comment that couldn't the multiple IP addresses be explained by a VPN service?

Also, it's rich for the conservatives here to be complaining about echo chambers. This portion of the Forum is basically a conservative echo chamber/circle jerk 99 days out of 100. Frankly, I just come here to post every so often just to kick that hornet's nest and laugh at the insane responses from @raphjd, his sock puppets, and parrots.

But remember - Per Lib Doctrine, CHINA IS THE FUTURE & what a great model they have. (Not)

Why do you think liberals love China? Is it because you're still retarded and think liberals are all a bunch of commies?

I know a lot of liberals and none of them are fans of China. In fact, American businesses (like Google) are constantly criticized in liberal circles for helping maintain the Great Firewall of China. I don't think you know liberals as much as you think you do.

Oh, but that's right...you only know about the strawman "liberals" created by the Right's talking points.

    • RE: CNN Jake Tapper: Durham Report 'devastates' FBI, 'exonerates' Trump

After Years of Political Hype, the Durham Inquiry Failed to Deliver

...[T]he much-hyped investigation by Mr. Durham, a special counsel, into the Russia inquiry ended with a whimper that stood in contrast to the countless hours of political furor that spun off from it.

Mr. Durham delivered a report that scolded the F.B.I. but failed to live up to the expectations of supporters of Donald J. Trump that he would uncover a politically motivated “deep state” conspiracy. He charged no high-level F.B.I. or intelligence official with a crime and acknowledged in a footnote that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign did nothing prosecutable, either.

Predictably, the report’s actual content — it contained no major new revelations, and it accused the F.B.I. of “confirmation bias” rather than making a more explosive conclusion of political bias — made scant difference in parts of the political arena. Mr. Trump and many of his loyalists issued statements treating it as vindication of their claims that the Russia inquiry involved far more extravagant wrongdoing....

First, right-wing conspiracy nuts who think they aren't already eating bugs in their food are clueless about where some food ingredients come from.

Second, the statements by NPR are not mutually exclusive or contradictory. Eating bugs is already common in some places in the world and is advocated as a small portion of environmentalist plans to mitigate climate change.

The "bug eating" conspiracy that NPR is pointing out is racists is the "Great Reset" theory floating around in dark corners of right-wing Internet. And some elements of it could be considered racist.
