    • RE: LEADER BOARDS: USER ANALYTICAL STATS on the POLITICS FORUM

      @flozen:

      Why is there a disproportionately higher number of thumbs down from progressives?

      I'd say it has a lot to do with the disproportionately higher number of uncivil and off-topic posts, and other Forum rules violations, by conservatives.

      This is backed up by the Warnings – given out only after repeated, repeated infractions -- and which tips heavily in the conservatives' direction.

      What a shame you did all this pretty cut-and-pasting, and tabulating, when the conclusions were already as clear as your "Obama Is A Satanic Whore," or if you prefer, "The New World Order Can Suck My D-ck."

      Thanks, mhorndisk, for enriching our political discussions with these downward, thumb-bending contributions, and so many, many others by you and your peers.

      I'd say you're full of it.
      You moonbats are almost always wrong, hypocritical, and downvote other posts without even reading them.  You reap what you sow.

      Did I miss something?  Did this board suddenly change into one focused on discussing reputation power, up-voting and down-voting.  Who Cares? I guess we know who.  I don't.  Let's talk politics.
      If you don't want to discuss politics and debate world issues, go to another board to show off your big green bars.

      Yes.. and even though he got let off the hook instead of being keel hauled.. or even given a warning like I got.. he's still bitching and complaining.. and blaming it on the GTRU quoting system.

      And then today.. he starts right up where he left off.. posting more fake news, making baseless accusations.  Demanding proof when he offers none.
      But.. looking at the red and green lines, apparently, the moonbats aren't fooling many people.  This is why despite the looney, fraudulent polls, and the biased media.. Trump won the election.  People are not as stupid and gullible as the media would have you believe.  The moonbats are just the biggest whiners and complainers.  They are like the noisy wheel that gets the grease.. or the straight crying baby that gets a pacifier in their mouth.. or the gay crying baby that gets a pacifier stuck up their ass.

      Frederick accused me of all sorts of nonsense that wasn't true.  I didn't cry about it.

      You've flooded this group with spam, lies, fake news..  and then went on to downvote comments without even reading them.. complain about everything.. disputed verifiable facts, and even been so bold as to report people INCLUDING the moderator and attempted to get the almighty one involved.
      I guess those were "mistakes" as well.  As per usual.. it's not your fault.. it's the fault of that "terrible" quoting feature.  Yeaaaaah.. that's the ticket!  It's the QUOTING features fault!   And I bet your wife is Morgan Fairchild!  Yeaahh!

      "Motor voter" automatically registers ALL people with a driver's license.   Texas, for example, let's illegals get state id and driver's licenses, as do other states.   Of course, liberals don't understand the problem that causes.

      Conservatives don't understand what a problem it is when illegals have to live in the shadows because they are afraid.  I live in a sanctuary city in a primarily immigrant neighborhood.  It's always been an immigrant neighborhood.  It was Irish and Italian and now it's mainly people from South and Central America.

      The primary reason we are a sanctuary city is because it's what law enforcement wanted.  Police were not able to do their jobs when people wouldn't cooperate as witnesses or even come forward to report a crime due to fear of deportation.  We had courts just letting criminals roam free because the only witness wouldn't come testify.  These cities are safer places because of their sanctuary status.  You can live in denial all you want.  I  live in one of these neighborhoods.  It's full of people just living their lives and doing their jobs.

      If the illegals are so afraid.. why don't the go back to the country they came from?  They are here ILLEGALLY!
      Many years ago, I went to England.  I wound up staying there for 9 months.  I had not intended on staying there so long, but circumstances changed.  While there, I tried to get legitimate employment.  Forget that!  They require a work permit.  So.. I go to get a work permit from the Home Office.  To get a work permit, one has to leave England, go home to the USA, file for a work permit (which requires that nobody else is available for the job) and wait 6 months before re-entering England!  Meanwhile, someone in Mexico can just walk right into the USA, go to work, and get a driver's license - which gives them the ability to vote without having their citizenship checked.  How convenient for them!
      Try going to some place like North Korea or Iran and see how long you last.  In Iran, they would hang you up by your balls and slit your throat.  In North Korea, they would torture you and give you a chemical lobotomy.

      @sutieday:

      The sad thing is that Trump supporters see no problem in the Trump family getting richer while Trump is in office. None of them are asking for Ivanka to cut her business ties, even though she and her husband are directly advising the president.

      You are so full of it that it's coming out your ears.
      What makes you think that they are getting richer while Trump is in office?   You provided nothing to substantiate that, but just the idea that Trump is profiting from this is ludicrous.
      Here's a few things to consider:  In his campaign to become the presidential candidate and later to become president,  Trump matched most of the contributions with roughly $50 million out of his own pocket.  It's incredible that even though HILLARY outspent Trump by roughly 10 to 1, he STILL won.  Hillary was getting a massive amount of money from foreign countries and people, including Hungarian billionaire George Soros.     Trump lost quite a bit of money, and his liquid "cash" assets fell to just $170 million.
      http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/forgiving-campaign-loans-trump-fulfills-his-pledge-self-fund-primary-n613536

      Jared Kushner was the CEO of his family's "Kushner Companies" which is certainly a major step DOWN in $$$ for Kushie.
      https://ny.curbed.com/2017/1/9/14215964/donald-trump-jared-kushner-real-estate

      Ivanka Trump had companies selling things such as jewelry and shoes.. which took a massive hit because moonbat pressure on stores to stop carrying her products.

      Donald Trump owns several major resorts and buildings which make money from hosting events of all sorts.  Supposedly, the bookings for those venues have dropped 40% due to various reasons including security issues, and moonbat backlash.

      Trump also made a lot of money by allowing his TRUMP brand to be put on properties he didn't own or only had a small interest in.  After his political venture, a lot of these "endorsements" ended due to security issues and more moonbat backlash.

      The idea that Trump is profiting from his presidency is insane.  He also had to give away control of his empire to his two sons, Eric and Donald Jr.

      I really get tired of moonbats posting whatever garbage that comes out of Don Lemon's ass and posting it as if it were true.

      Even if it were true (which it isn't) it is subversive and seditious.

    • Rooting out voting fraud has its effect..

      In the 2016 primaries and election.. there were people afraid to vote because they were things like illegal aliens, etc.  They had no legal right to vote, but they could easily do it due to corrupt policies of local governments, especially in California.  Obama even made a video assuring illegal aliens that they could safely cast their illegal votes and get away with it.

      Youtube Video

      Well, now many voters are withdrawing their voter registrations to avoid being tracked down.  It will be interesting to see how this affects voting in the future.  Imagine that.. commit a crime by casting a fraudulent vote and get in trouble for it?  HORRORS (if you are a democrat moonbat).

    • Moonbat madness.. they forget who is part of the administration

      In their latest desperate attempt to find someway to attack Trump, they are now focusing on his family again.  In this case - Donald Trump Jr.

      There is a huge problem with that…  Donald Trump, his daughter Ivanka - and her husband Jared Kushner all have roles in the government.
      However, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have NO role in the government in any capacity.  They are busy running Trump's financial empire.

      So, when the moonbats keep speculating about Donald Trump Jr. talking to some Russian.. so what?  By the way, Russia is not an enemy of the USA.  The USSR and Communism officially dissolved in 1991.. 26 years ago!  It's not a crime to talk to Russians.
      Guess who is a member of the G20?  RUSSIA!

      Now go dream up some other conspiracy you moonbats.

      It must be hell to be a moonbat and be wrong about virtually everything.

      Here's just one more fundamental problem with moonbats.  The alleged premise of justice in this country is that one is innocent until proven guilty.  And yet, when it comes to Trump.. the moonbats don't need any proof, they don't need any trial, they don't need any charges.  All they need is some anonymous person to suggest something.. and the moonbats become a rabid horde of mad villagers with torches ready to burn Trump at the stake.

      Just for trivia sake.. someone tried to swindle my father out of 4.25% of his life savings this month.  I caught him, I investigated him, and that man is going to lose his license soon, and he might be going to prison.  The tipoff is when I spoke to him, the topic of Trump came up.  I was praising the success of Trump - while this idiot has the opposite view.  I will enjoy punishing that man.

      @pppucci:

      There is no way in hell that they would ever get away with depicting an assassination of Obama.

      BTW, a different group did, in 2012, again in a production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.  I don't remember liberals having a meltdown.
      http://www.bizjournals.com/newyork/news/2017/06/12/outrage-over-a-trump-caesar-play.html

      Comparing the two plays is like comparing apples to oranges.  The Trump version had a look-a-like of Trump, the Obama version had a black guy that looked nothing like Obama.  The Trump version was in NYC and viewed by a tremendous number of people (Trump always draws the big crowds) whereas the Obama version was in a rather obscure Minneapolis location.  There was MASSIVE media coverage (being that the media is 95% liberal biased) of the Trump version, whereas the Obama version was ignored by the media, and nobody really heard about it (try finding any video of it - good luck!).   The Trump version portrayed "Cesar" in an extremely negative and degrading way, whereas the Obama version portrayed "Cesar" as the victim being stabbed by "evil conservatives" including a Mitch McConnell look-a-like.

      And again.. putting all that aside.. it's back to Moonbat logic.. where they think it is OK to attack Trump - because they did something to Obama too.  That is complete nonsense.  The incessant, vicious attacks on Trump are a 100 times as  severe as anything done to Obama.

      The director of the independent Office of Government Ethics, who has been the federal government’s most persistent critic of the Trump administration’s approach to ethics, announced Thursday that he is resigning nearly six months before his term is scheduled to end.

      Walter M. Shaub Jr. repeatedly challenged the Trump administration, publicly urging President Trump to fully divest from his business empire and chastising a senior Trump adviser for violating ethics rules. His outspokenness drew the ire of administration officials and earned him near-cult status among Trump’s opponents. Fans started a Facebook page in his honor, and his name has occasionally appeared on posters at anti-Trump protests.

    • RE: More Americans Trust Merkel Than Trump To Handle Foreign Affairs

      @sutieday:

      Residents of most G-20 countries ― including the United States ― have more faith in German Chancellor Angela Merkel than in U.S. President Donald Trump to handle world affairs, according to newly released data from Pew Research.

      Fifty-six percent of Americans say they have some or a lot of confidence in Merkel to do the right thing regarding foreign affairs, according to the poll published Wednesday. Just 46 percent have a similar level of confidence in Trump.

      Merkel also received significantly higher ratings than Trump in a dozen other countries, while Trump fared substantially better in only two of the countries surveyed, India and Russia.

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/more-americans-trust-merkel-than-trump-to-handle-foreign-affairs_us_595e89c1e4b02e9bdb0b516c?q3e

      Link to Pew Research: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/07/05/on-world-affairs-most-g20-countries-more-confident-in-merkel-than-trump/

      Just what percentage of Americans do you think know who Angela Merkel is?  Not many people do in the USA.  Merkel's biggest problem is that she has been the Chancellor of Germany for 17 years.. and that is too long.  She should have packed her bags long ago.

      @pppucci:

      –-I am not replying to my own post, I am copying and pasting Frederick's remarks on this subject which were posted in another thread, so I can respond to them.. Frederick wrote:
      _"AGAIN.. you are twisting and spinning reality:
      Here's REALITY for you:

      For the time period of January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012
      ANY and ALL documents in your posession, and/or sent from or received by the email address "[email protected]",
      "[email protected]," or any other email address or communications device used by you or another on your behalf,
      referring or relating to (Libya)

      Let me break this long winded statement down:
      It orders Hillary to turn over all her documents emails from the years 2011 and 2012.
      This is to also include communications made by her or on her behalf related to Libya.

      I will grant you that this is a bit confusing.  This is typical of government speak.
      You are interpreting this order as being restrictive in that they only wanted those e-mails that were related to Libya.
      That is not what it says.  It says it wants ALL of HER communications of 2011 and 2012.
      It also wants the communications made on her behalf if they are related to Libya.

      It is absurd to interpret that as giving her the right to not only DELETE, but also make it impossible for anybody, including the FBI and CIA, from getting physical possession of her hard drives to retrieve that DELETED information by using "bleach bit" software.  There is a world of difference between not turning something over and DELETING it so it can't be turned over.
      She had no business deleting any communications off that server which she illegally had in her own home.  This is one reason why it is illegal for the servers to be in private homes such as Hillary's basement.  It's not only for security from hackers, but also to ensure that the private person can't go and delete things that don't belong to them.  Imagine if Nixon just deleted or burned those "Watergate" tapes.  That would put him in prison if he was not a President at the time.  Nixon didn't even delete / eliminate the tapes.  Perhaps he WOULD have if he could have done it without anybody finding out.  In Hillary's case, she wasn't a president, and we DID find out.
      Additionally, Hillary told several lies about the e-mails and devices, including that she only used ONE mobile communications device, when in fact she used something like 15 of them.  (She destroyed them with a hammer which was to cover up what she was leaking.  The information on them would have already been leaked.. so wouldn't it be nice for the US Government to KNOW what was leaked?  Not possible since she took a hammer to them.  Now only the hackers know what was leaked).  She lied about the number of e-mails.  She had a private computer firm without security clearance going over those communications.
      Even if Congress had not subpoena's those communications, she STILL had no legal authority to delete them.  As it turns out, there were many very damaging e-mails coming and going out of her e-mail accounts - including how they plotted to steal the nomination from Bernie Sanders, and pay people to disrupt Trump's rallies (those were obviously not part of the 2011-2012 subpoena, but she still had no right to DELETE them.. they probably would have been subpoenaed later.. you can't subpoena something that no longer exists.. )
      Also, we later found out that COPIES of these deleted e-mails were floating around all over the place, including on the computers of pedo Anthony Weiner, husband of Huma Abedin (Hillary's closest advisor).

      I could go on, but clearly Hillary grossly violated the law, and she should never had been eligible to be a candidate while under investigation.  This is why that corrupt former Attorney General Lorettta Shudbee Lynch, used the word "matter" instead of "investigation".  "_
      –---------
      \My reply.  You misstate the scope of the subpoena.  She was asked to turn over emails from 2010 and 2011 rregarding the events in Libya… So clearly she did not violate a congressional subpoena.
      As to her obligation to preserve even un-related emails, it is true had an obligation to preserve an correspondence relating to her duties as Secretary of State, she was under no obligation to preserve those of a personal nature.  So even if those did contain damaging political information, she did not legally ahve to preserve them.  Even IF they contained evidence of criminal activities ( I am not saying they did) she still would be under no obligation to preserve them.  The fourth amendment protects against unlawful search and seizure.  She did not have to preserve them for some future possible investigation.
      Lastly, she did not destroy all of her emails.  She did turn over about 30,000. The ones that were deleted were examined by her legal team in good faith, and found to be unrelated to her cabinet duties.  Destroying old mobile devices with a hammer was standard practice in the state department.
      But as I asked mhorndisk, why the hell does that matter now?

      You are entirely WRONG.  She was ordered to turn over ALL her communications of  2011 and 2012 AND the communications of others if they were LIBYA related.
      Putting that argument aside.. there is no argument that DELETING and PERMANENTLY WIPING away evidence was a clear violation of the law.  Even if congress never subpoenaed anything.. she was breaking the law  by deleting those communications.  And she was obstructing justice  by wiping the computer of the data that could have been retrieved by the FBI or CIA if they got physical possession of her hard drives, which she had no business having in her own possession in her own house to begin  with.
      In all, there were hundreds of thousands of e-mails and other messages on that server, perhaps even millions of them.  It would take several months if not years to analyze them all.. yet by magic.. Hillary managed to do it in just 2 days!

      Perhaps this is how she did it so fast….
