    • RE: "The person below me" game.

      bb72, I am a HUGE Black Mirror fanatic.  From past seasons, one that was funny and frightening at the same time was Season Three's opener, Nosedive, with Bryce Dallas Howard just losing her shit as people "rated" her downwards.  Timely and relevant!  And the time-shifting San Junipero won a U.S. Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie.  Huzzah!

      This year, I'm watching the new season slowly, like you would save fancy candies, lol.  I thought U.S.S. Callister was brilliant and hit all my sci-fi buttons.  Whereas the second ep, directed by Jodie Foster, needed a little more weirdness, imho.

      Glad you'll be checking out At Home with Amy Sedaris.  Her parody of a "lifestyle show" is quirky and subversive, the opposite of broad, "big network" comedy.  We die every time we see her intentional "tracksuit camel toe" in the opening credits.   :crazy2:

      TPBM enjoys/enjoyed riding a skateboard, snowboard, surfboard – or being spanked by a wooden board.

      Like the Weather – 10,000 Maniacs (1988)

      Such a big song in university towns and alt radio, such a big video on early MTV, and yet only reached #68 on Billboard Hot 100.  Go figure!

      I get Rick and Morty as part of the Adult Swim late-night animation block in our area.  Trying to become a fan, but it hasn't grabbed me (yet) like Squidbillies, or Mr. Pickles.

      [bb72, I have heard so many positive things about [i]Bojack, I'll call myself a fan before seeing the first episode.  Any animated show that has Amy Sedaris as a voice is already in my "win" column.  A future binge.]

      The first season of At Home with Amy Sedaris just aired, and TPBM has seen it, or plans to give it a try.

      That made me LOL, especially in light of Bitcoin movement this past month.

      You could change the end of your joke to "68 cents," the way things are going…  :afr:

      @AngelK:

      Debbie Gibson
      Out Of The Blue
      Edited Dub

      Debbie Gibson - The Singles A's & B's

      AngelK… for the French, is Debbie Gibson to pop music as Jerry Lewis is to film comedy?

      More important:  When you listened to this song, were you wearing the black hat in the video, and singing and dancing in front of a mirror?    :cheers:

      Always enjoy your choices!

    • RE: Seed bonus and older torrents - how to know if uploader is still here

      These are both questions I have asked myself, so thanks for making the effort, viscous.

      I will admit, when I see it's a recycled torrent from more than a year ago, it's unlikely I will add Seedbonus points, not knowing if the member is still active.  And yes, do points awarded to recycled files and departed members simply float off into the ether?

      Knowing the member status of a recycled torrent – possibly indicated by an additional line of text, "Uploader: Active" or "Uploader: Inactive" -- would be helpful to the points above.

      I do realize, however, that this Forum is a pre-designed module.  Some enhancements are doable and worth the effort, while others are (choose one or more)...

      impossible;
      possible, but too time-consuming to program and upkeep;
      are of very limited benefit; and/or
      are of benefit, but only to a small group.

      In any event, this recycled torrent information seems worth the effort, imho, and at the very least, your topics are open for consideration / explanation, viscous.   :clap2:

      EVERYONE should enjoy the Freeleech tomorrow, especially those dear people who are constantly yammering about the unfairness of their ratio, the point system, etc…    :cry3:

      SIoSI see the multi-Oscar nominated The Shape of Water?  Did you find the relationship between the woman and the creature to be engaging, hard to believe, or a little silly?

      Various songs from Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares – the international, commercial name of the Bulgarian State Television Female Choir.

      Youtube Video

      This sound entranced me in the 1990s and found international acclaim.  You'll note similar music in the soundtrack of Ghost in the Shell and many, many other films.  Tender vocals one moment, jarring the next, spiritual and eerie.  Play in a dark room, with candles, smoking pot is optional.

      It has to be Family Guy.   I like the raunchier humor, as well as fights between Peter and the Angry Chicken:

      Currently listening to a 10-song YouTube compilation of "Famous Singers with ISOLATED Vocals."

      Youtube Video

      Rihanna, Selena, Taylor, Ariana, Mariah, Queen Bey, etc.  Some of these ladies slay, some may be having a bad session, and a few sound like AutoTune is their only salvation.

      Really, both show are a "THIS," but I have seen most of the I Love Lucy shows a zillion times, including the later ones, where they moved from New York City to Upstate.

      I'm giving my THIS to The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966) for another great ensemble cast, and in particular, in honor of veteran comedy actress Rose Marie.  She played a television comedy writer, Sally Rogers, and was treated in the "pitch and script meetings" as an equal – which was very progressive for the times.  Rose Marie just passed away on December 28, 2017, at age 94.  :love:

      It has been a week, can you still be waiting on advice?  If so, I say renew that PS4 plus membership.  You deserve it.  You deserve a lot of things.   :hump:

      And here's a list of PS4 Plus games that will be free this month, including Knack and Rime.

    • RE: Will and Grace Season 9

      In all honesty, I am waiting to binge the entire season.  I was not transfixed by the opening episode, felt it was padded with some way obvious political jokes – red meat for the blue states -- and media reviews were mixed, as well.

      I heard this new W&G found its footing after a few more episodes, so I'll eventually watch it.
