    • RE: It's 2018, is still the wage gap a thing?

There are two aspects to this: one is alleged pay discrepancy for different genders in the same job performing the same duties (which yes, I do believe is still an issue), and the other is alleged discrimination in hiring for higher-paid positions (which yes, I do believe is also an issue).

I consider myself to be an "average" person.  I was in upper management at a government agency that oversaw a predominately male industry (oilfield).  So there are arguable reasons why the regulatory agency would have discrepancies of that sort, I honestly don't think them particularly valid.  YMMV.

Love 'em too, no resources, etc. etc.

Recently stumbled across a couple of vids of guys having wet dreams.  One in shorts shooting cum through the cloth; OMG so hot.

    • RE: What do you think about gay-for-pay stars?

At the end of the day, why is this even a debate?  I enjoy watching hot men have sex; but since I'm not sleeping with any of them in reality, what difference does it make (and why should it make any difference) what they do when they're not on my screen?

Let's say that they're actually straight.  Obviously they have concluded that the benefits from this work outweigh the costs.  Who here hasn't had a job they didn't like but stayed for the money (or whatever benefit was important enough to us at the time)?

Let's say that they're actually gay.  Obviously they have concluded that the benefits of concealing it outweigh the costs.  Who here hasn't concealed some aspect that might prove problematic in a social setting (such as our apparent fondness for watching gay porn)?

See?  What we think of them doesn't matter; and we can argue both sides until the moon goes blue with cold.  But at the end of the day, the problem (if there is one) is theirs and those who are actually sharing their lives while all of us have moved on to the next hot guy on the playlist.

Just my 2 cents.  (For those outside the US, a cent is 1/100 of a US dollar and is virtually worthless.)

    • RE: Are there any religious gay people here?

More and more mainstream christian denominations are wrestling with the sexuality question and have (at least some form of) per-congregation choice.  I'm a member of a United Methodist congregation who have basically said that orientation is irrelevant.  (I used to be a member of an American Baptist congregation who had similar opinions, and I know of many other individual congregations who do likewise.

If you look hard enough (meaning that it's important enough to you to do so), you should be able to find a congregation to suit.

Of course, I'm in a "blue" city in a vast "red" state, so my experience may not be universal.
