Erm, I can't help with the upload query but if you think you have a ratio problem why not just exchange half your seed bonus (if you really have nearly 14,000) and your ratio will be nearly 1

I am not sure if there is any way round this. But if someone posts a duplicate and people add comments or screenshots before the original is found, those new entries are lost when the original  is promoted.

I have no argument with GTRU following takedown notices although it's a bit sad for the poster

Just another of my dumb suggestions …

"Example: If a member has a Download Amount = 75 GB, the above table shows a Baseline Download Limit = 5 torrents/day and Minimum Ratio Requirement = 0.45. If Actual Share Ratio is 1.00, then it is 0.55 above the minimum ratio. Multiple 0.55 by the Baseline Download Limit of 5 = 2.75, rounded up to 3 extra torrents/day. If this member has also uploaded 10 torrents, this adds another 10 extra torrents/day. So then adding all 3 components creates a personal daily download limit of 5 + 3 + 10 = 18 torrents per day"

I've had to amend my limits. I have allowed myself a Baseline Snooze limit of 8 hours a day and added a Minimum Calorie Intake time of 60 minutes a day, subtracted those and ablution time from the minimum hours (24 in my days) plus a personal daily wasting-time-because-I-don't-want-to-wash-the-dishes allowance which gives me a baseline of 3.75 hours.

I have a daily torrent download limit of 24 which means I can watch between 6 and 8 movies a day. Given that I could use 2 media players and a dongle on my DVD player, I calculate I could get a life between 0913 and 1027 every day.  :blink:

However as my head now hurts, I think I'll stick to earlier plan of downloading one torrent, watching that, downloading next one and watching that. Appeals to my simple brain

I know I'm dumb but this makes me feel even dumber. I haven't a clue what all that arithmetic is about.

I'm not even sure whether people are talking about downloading the tiny torrent file or sharing the torrent behind it.

And if there are 'good reasons' behind any site changes, why not share them with us….please  :cry2:

I had no idea it was so complicated.

If I can add a screenshot, I make the thumbnails in Media Player Classic, add the result, you approve, I get a bonus point, I'm happy.

I didn't know that stuff going on in the background. My pics seem to be 1024 wide, I will check the height now.

But I think I was making the point with the two dead links that a large (4+GB) non-DVD torrent was available to everyone whereas a smaller DVD torrent could only be seen by 'power users'.

I find an even more sensible way is not to worry about ratios - most sites seem to have more problems getting enough downloaders rather than keeping seeders.

I use one British TV site where it is almost impossible to seed to 1 because regulars are using seedboxes or getting in immediately. At least they have the option of a freeleech of the week to allow people to catch up.

On the other hand we both know a site which doesn't monitor ratios and it allows people to get on with other stuff 

In four recent seeds the 'hover' thumbnail says 'showing 1 of 10 pictures' yet when I go to the torrent page it is only showing one picture - the DVD cover.

Because there seems to be 10 pictures already no-one can post extra screenshots. Is it me ?
