@raphjd said in Fla Rep Matt Gaetz taken to the woodshed by Liz Cheny:
Conservatives lost the entire federal government.
I said "you don't know shite about what you're talking about" (or something like that... and I pointed out how well placed the Republican party is positioned to regain power: in 2022 in the House, and in 2024 in the Senate... the White House is always a toss-up when there isn't an incumbent, and Biden has said from the start that he expects to serve only 1 term... for now, I'll take him at is word, though I will still be surprised if he keeps that particular promise.
And you said?
The White House and both house of Congress.
Apparently, you *still think that is the "entire federal government".
And to that exchange, I'll provide 2 links to 2 very profound statements"
- Ron White (comedian): You can't fix stupid
- Mark Twain (comedian): Don't argue with stupid people, for they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
NOTE: As you'll see in the link, no one can actually trace the quote to Twain, but a lot of people attribute the quote to him... who am I to argue with the Internet!?!?
But, then you add:
Also, some of the Justices aren't as conservative as they appeared.
Ignoring the mixed tenses in there (did you even attend High School? In English? I'll forgive you if not!)... you now contradict yourself... on two counts:
- You finally admit that the Supreme Court is part of the Federal Government... but,
- ... apparently it's not Conservative enough for you to consider it in Conservative control. [Remember: this is the most conservative court since the the time of Roosevelt!]
Good GOD man, if you'll take your nose out of Trump's ass long enough, you'll realize that things aren't as shitty as they seem when your nose is shoved up there as far as it can go!
GET A GRIP Your Demi-GOD didn't win the election, and the world is not coming to an end!! It is absolutely not the Conservative Apocalypse!
IF you read more than just the last chapter of any modern History book, you'll see that power shifts constantly in Washington! We backed the wrong horse in "following Trump" (in 2016, but especially in 2020 after the election), but the damage has been manageable, and shouldn't be permanent!
