Conservatives lost the entire federal government.

I said "you don't know shite about what you're talking about" (or something like that... and I pointed out how well placed the Republican party is positioned to regain power: in 2022 in the House, and in 2024 in the Senate... the White House is always a toss-up when there isn't an incumbent, and Biden has said from the start that he expects to serve only 1 term... for now, I'll take him at is word, though I will still be surprised if he keeps that particular promise.

      And you said?

The White House and both house of Congress.

Apparently, you *still think that is the "entire federal government".
And to that exchange, I'll provide 2 links to 2 very profound statements"

      • Ron White (comedian): You can't fix stupid
      • Mark Twain (comedian): Don't argue with stupid people, for they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
NOTE: As you'll see in the link, no one can actually trace the quote to Twain, but a lot of people attribute the quote to him... who am I to argue with the Internet!?!?

      But, then you add:

Also, some of the Justices aren't as conservative as they appeared.

Ignoring the mixed tenses in there (did you even attend High School? In English? I'll forgive you if not!)... you now contradict yourself... on two counts:

      1. You finally admit that the Supreme Court is part of the Federal Government... but,
      2. ... apparently it's not Conservative enough for you to consider it in Conservative control. [Remember: this is the most conservative court since the the time of Roosevelt!]

Good GOD man, if you'll take your nose out of Trump's ass long enough, you'll realize that things aren't as shitty as they seem when your nose is shoved up there as far as it can go!

GET A GRIP Your Demi-GOD didn't win the election, and the world is not coming to an end!! It is absolutely not the Conservative Apocalypse!

IF you read more than just the last chapter of any modern History book, you'll see that power shifts constantly in Washington! We backed the wrong horse in "following Trump" (in 2016, but especially in 2020 after the election), but the damage has been manageable, and shouldn't be permanent!

Biden hasn't really incensed the opposition as much as Trump did...

But a significant part of your statement "nothing will happen to Biden for at least 2 years" is true - much the same as it was for Trump in 2016.

For real Conservatives, we have an easy road-map ahead:

      1. Dump Trump and the rest of the QAnon believing wingnuts of the far right... we don't win being demonstrably crazy and clueless

      2. Work those State legislatures and get more Republican districts drawn after the Census is finalized

      3. Keep as many Senate seats as possible in 2022, but know ahead of time that it's a long-shot to keep all our seats... The Senate is likely to be in Democratic hands until 2024... sigh... it's just in the cards, but we can limit the losses and lay the right groundwork for 2024 - when the Dems are going to be in the same position we are - defending far more seats in the cycle!

      4. GET THE HOUSE in 2022! It shouldn't be hard! The President's party nearly always loses a few seats in their mid-term election cycle... but we could win big and have a crushingly-big margin going into 2024 -

      5. To WIN in 2024, we have to keep Trump away. He's toxic! While he won in 2016's Electoral College, he lost the popular vote - widely - and things have progressively worsened in the electorate as he's remained the center of the party!
Time to move on... this time, with a real Conservative!

Conservatives lost the entire federal government. That is "quite well" for a RINO.

Ummm... just how many parts are there in the Federal Government?

Your continued myopathy towards losses of your Demi-God, Donald Trump blind you to the rest of the political landscape...

Literally you can't see the political forest for the weed that was Donald Trump!

      1. It was inevitable that Dems would eventually win back the Senate - we had a brutal 2020 calendar, and it's even worse looking at 2022.
      2. The house is another story - we made gains in the House - even while losing the presidency - that is rare (and an indication that the "Nation's rebuke" was of Donald Trump himself and not Republican policy.
      3. The Supreme Court is firmly in the hands of Conservative justices. At 6-3, this is the most firmly Conservative court since the 1930s!
      4. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Republicans at the State level won by wide margins, meaning we're in a GOOD PLACE to re-take the House in 2022, and we're in control of redistricting!

So, while you're whining that someone peed on your favorite flower, the rest of the garden is in great shape - for a Winter season, that is!

Was there a Russian Collussion hoax for 4 years?

Just wait for it - these are seasoned politicians - 2 Senators with a lot of background...

      1. There is a lot to go through
      2. They're better (than Donald Trump was) at covering things up

And you'll have to be more patient - Dems are in charge of the House right now. If we can just avoid being dragged into the toilet bowl of conspiracy theories from the wingnut end of the party, we're on-track to re-take the house in 2022. (The Democrat's margin is razor-thin as it is, and the President's party virtually always loses some seats in the mid-term election cycle!

LITERALLY we just have to avoid stepping on our own dicks here!
The Senate will be a rough one - but we'll have the House in 2022 - and that'll be exactly the same position Trump was in after his mid-terms!

Were there 7 impeachment attempts, plus the 2 that succeeded. Al Green didn't even wait for Trump to do anything before he submitted his first one.

Biden has had 1 impeachment attempt already (by your own measure) - far faster than Trump did!

This is where you bring up the one for Biden, but that is not the same since we already have proof and plenty of it, including his own words on video.

      How is it different again?

If the TWO Impeachments of Trump have taught us anything it is that facts do not matter in impeachments - it is a political process - pure and hardnosed politics -- and right now, the Republicans are not in power... same situation the Dems were in in 2016, except that our current positions are far FAR stronger than the Dems were in 2016!

If you want to compare administrations, you have to compare them at the same relative points! You're just an impatient, petulant child-mind if you're actually expecting the start of the Biden administration's opposition to be at the same place as the end of the Trump administration's!

      @bc22

Thanks - I like to write (can't you tell?)

It wasn't that long ago that I was about to be married... David was an amazing man, my soulmate! He could read me like a 1st Grade Reader! He could tell by the slightest, softest sigh whether I was upset, tired, or whatever. He taught me more about myself and love than I ever thought possible. I miss him still.

I wrote above about Aubrey - a guy I loved from 30 years ago (or thereabouts)... David passed away in 2017. We had only been together for 3 years. I feel cheated when I think about how short our time together was.But I feel blessed every time I see his face and think of the time we did have...

When I was with David, there wasn't another human being on the planet I'd have actually left him for - not even for a moment! (I say actually because we playfully had our hall pass celebrities: a celebrity that, if just for one day we could "have", we'd be allowed to - with no questions asked! It was just a game - and one of many we played with each other [not about cheating - just games - we're both playful])...

If Aubrey were to reach out to me today, well, honestly I'd be open to seeing where things went - but more than that, I'd just like to know how his life has been for the past 3 decades! (I've always lived my life and relationships "in the present" - no expectations!)

Had it come up when David was still alive, there's no chance I'd have even contacted Aubrey, or responded to him if he contacted me... it would have risked hurting David, or even making him question my love and devotion to him - and I wouldn't have risked that! (David knew about Aubrey - I shared everything with him, and he was eager to know about my past.)

It's been over 3 years since David's passing. His picture is still in my bathroom. I still talk to him most days. I still masturbate to memories of him. I still fall asleep dreaming of him. I still reach for him some mornings as I awaken.

The pain of his loss is still very real - I'm tearing up just as I write this! 😢

So, the answer there is therefore: 💙 Blue...

Before I posit my next question, I want to mention that I strongly prefer:

      • no tattoos
      • no piercings
      • long thin cocks (in the rare instance that the COCK is the part that matters)

      @bc22

That's a nice story... I think we all (at least those of us with a few years behind us) have ones that got away..

Mine was a guy named Aubrey that I met online (back then it was AOL!) and we met up in DC, where I was working short stints from time to time. He was amazing... and I fell in love (I was in my late 20's). Sadly, he was young and dumb and full of cum: aka he wasn't ready to settle down with just one guy. And with HIV, and my generally conservative behavior, I wasn't into that much play.

He and I were polar opposites - which is partly why we were so attractive to each other:

      • He eventually worked in the DC area as a drag queen
      • I met his parents once (who were totally not OK with him being gay! They're Asian.)
      • He disappeared - from work, home, everywhere - once, for over a week! I almost lost my job because I spent all of my time at work searching for him: calling (by phone) or chatting online with mutual friends (LOL, I couldn't tell you the names of a single one of them, now!), searching the sites he liked (this is WAY before MySpace, much less Facebook!), I even spoke to the police in NOVA about it ... I was so worried about him! Like I said, I nearly lost my job over it! (To be honest, I think I did lose my mind over it, at the time!)
      • He later moved to NYC and continued his career (drag), and even started his own beauty line there.
      • I took him to Boston with me on a business trip once - he wanted to see Boston, and I wanted to see him! Plus, it was his birthday 🙂 Unfortunately, the trip was mostly a bust: there was quite a bit of snow (and I wasn't comfortable driving in the snow - remember, I grew up and lived in Florida!), and the work location was quite a ways outside of Boston - so we couldn't go to the gay bars, or really do much of anything. He was bored out of his skull most of the time, and I couldn't blame him. I offered to make it up by flying him to Fla for a week, but he would never do it.
      • The last time I actually laid eyes on him was ca. 1999 - I had a 6-month job in Richmond, VA and he had moved back to DC. I loved seeing him, but it was only once. He didn't seem nearly as happy to see me, though I was thrilled to see him! I later found where he was performing (drag) and attended a few of his shows (driving up from Richmond), but he never saw me in the audience - or if he did, he never reacted... and I didn't have the courage to go up to him there. In my mind, he had made up his mind, and rejected me. (I wasn't as self-reliant or emotionally strong back then)...

I managed to exchange a few brief comments with him via Linked-In several years ago, but he's gone dark since then...

I often think of my tangy and how my life might have been different if he'd chosen to be with me (I offered!)... I wouldn't trade my life today - I adore my children (well, on most days I do!)... But as with others in my past, I still love him!

    • RE: Is mandatory CFNM swimming in schools and universities in the past a hoax?

      @bc22
      Interesting...

We (Americans) have certainly become even more puritanical in recent years:

      • When I was in Middle School, we were required to take a shower after PE. There was a coach at the showers there to supervise and make sure we took "real" showers. There was another coach at the door to supervise the locker room itself and to make sure we didn't walk out of there without wet hair!
      • Showering with shorts on was NOT allowed!
      • There were no barriers, no curtains - nothing! The "shower" room had shower heads around the walls, and 2 "towers" with shower heads standing in the center... zero privacy
      • In scout camp, when you went to shower, there were 3-5 shower heads lined up along the wall. No curtains, no walls for privacy... there was a fence, but you were totally exposed to anyone else in the showers. (Some of the other Scout camps in Florida didn't even have fencing!)

No one thought anything of it! (Back then, girls were not allowed at Scout camps!)

Years later, in the early 1990s and early 2000s, when I went to high schools as a sports official, everything had changed:

      • shower "rooms" had been changed to shower "stalls" with walls between them, and curtains or doors

Even later, as my own children started to attend these schools, it was apparent that the "rules" about showering after PE had changed: my children often came home sweaty & dirty - according to them, virtually no one ever took a shower after PE! (ewwww)

It has been an effort to instill into my children that there is nothing wrong (or sexual) about nudity! Our bodies - ALL OF THEM - are beautiful and natural.

I (and I hope my children) are private, but we are not embarrassed by nudity - our own, or other's...

Sigh... more vitriol and hyperbole... you just don't know any other way, do you?

      I haven't just read 1984, I've taught classes on it! 🙂

No one is asking for increased censorship (which is the pre-emptive banning of material from being published). (We already do censor some things - like child pornography - which you are already aware of, and clear support in another thread).

But when someone posts provably false information in an attempt to incite others to violence, and then that post is removed, that's not censorship.

And, when someone is warned repeatedly that their actions are in violation of the terms of service, and is then banned by that service for not taking heed, that also is not censorship.

Your use of the term "Reality Czars" is the first I've heard of - it must be something inside your echo chamber, because out here (in the real world) it's not being used by anyone else.

And finally, no one is asking that Marjorie Taylor Greene be "banned from society, thrown in prison, and all manner of vile crap" - no, she's just being thrown off her committee assignments for making threats of violence against members of Government. (Technically, that's a hair's breath away from treason!)

People can still get in the faces of politicians - however, they cannot do so with a weapon in their hand.

      Honestly: that's just common sense!

@bi4smooth A very impressive dissection of roles and responsibilities!

I would be fine if the meatier (sorry, not sorry) topics such as reproductive physiology, masturbation, consent, harassment, contraception, STDs, rape and incest were perceived as first-line parental jobs.

They should be, but many of us (parental types) didn't get the talk from our parents, and so don't know how to go about doing it! (For the record, my parents gave me a 4-volume book set on human reproduction!)

But knowing how many parents fail, I feel these topics should also be reinforced by the middle-school system through early high school -- especially for students transferring to upper classes from deficient middle school programs.

I agree completely. Human reproduction - including topics like STDs - should be taught in schools! But not the morality part of the equation. Topics like masturbation, abortion, birth control, homosexuality, etc. should be shown as "part of the Human experience" without the GOOD vs BAD part. (e.g.: People masturbate. If you want to know about your religion's feelings and teachings about it, ask your parents. I would say or ask your religious leaders, but too many of them are pedophiles, so better to stick with your parents.)

And with my secular (non)beliefs, I would rather keep God in the parental explanation of why we're incented to pursue sex as a feel-good biological imperative, and let the schools offer the alternative of a purely evolutionary approach.

As noted above: morals do not need to be taught in school. That is an area of instruction that should be left to parents (and, ahem, religious leaders)...

If you're a vibrant lover of life, sex education and exploration should have no expiration date, so bi4smooth, please provide links to your 1980s porn appearances, so that we may grow in knowledge, length and girth. 🙂

I wish I could. My ex-wife destroyed my VHS porn collection, and that included my only copies of the 2 movies I did (1 gay, 1 bi)...

The "us vs them" and "win everything, or it's not a win at all" ideas started in the 1990s - with Republicans!

By your thoughts (by what I've read here, which I hope is not the totality of your thoughts): when we (Republicans) are in control, we have the power and should rule defiantly and harshly!

But when the inevitable changes in majority happen, and the Democrats are in control, they should defer to our feelings and judgements

Whatever drugs you're smoking, you should share!

And I have little doubt the RNC will work hard to thwart literally every breath Joe Biden takes while in office! It's the way of the 21st Century (and that's a shame - it will IMHO lead to our eventual destruction as a nation. Yes, we will destroy ourselves!! No other nation could do it!)
