    • RE: Only CULTURALLY COMPETENT users should remove torrents from Themed Movies / TV

Thank you raphjd for pointing that simple rules!  :urock:

Like raphjd said and I forget to mention earlier today as I already did https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=31de208a60c12c781ea5c725ec39d434a5ac12855d376ca4 all films, TVs, episodes, TV movie must put under Themed and TV, except MOVIE CLIPS, if it has gay themed, it can be put in under Themed or TV or Clips, if its straight or just "gay interest", it can put it under Clips or Straight Younger/Older.

Gay interest allowed but must be in a form of movie clips. And the clips that we're talking about here is the sex clips or hot clips or something that arouse us. For example, click on Search bar "Sex Scene Edit".

    • RE: Only CULTURALLY COMPETENT users should remove torrents from Themed Movies / TV

I know this post personally attack me, I mean look at the title itself "only CULTURALLY COMPETENT users", I've been doing this for years so and mostly I'm the one who often deal with Themed Movie, by the title which mean I don't culturally competent or I'm just not a competent user who happened to be moderator that deals with Themed and TV torrents. I'll try to keep my head cool while replying bit by bit this lovely message.

First, about this culturally competent user. If look at my IMDb page, I am an active member and have been a contributor to the site for almost 11 years, which mean almost half of my life I've been doing movie and TV in general for more than a decade. I also have a website which I run personally that cover film, TV, music and entertainment news. I was picked and trusted to moderate Themed and TV because that was on my CV. So, if you still think that I'm not competent to handle this stuff, please show me yours, what's your competence to be able to judge me incompetence in my job.

I completely understand that there are very few moderators and they are very, very busy.  They are donating lots of time and effort.  We appreciate their hard work!  Everyone on this site appreciates the hard work that moderators do!!!  But it's not unreasonable to ask that the rules be clearly written, understandable, and equitably applied.  The totally random nature of deletions is proof that nobody understands the rules, or agrees on what they mean.

To be clear, every moderators agree and understand the rules. There are always differences, but the rules is one that we all agree on, so we stick with it. There are 2 Mods for Themed and TV, myself and Kalayan, but mostly I'm the one doing Themed torrent moderation because Kalayan have other jobs as moderator. So, if there is something wrong with Themed moderations, they fall to me. So, if there is something wrong and or lack or miss, I'm sorry I'm human, I have a job and I have a real life outside this, sometimes I just don't have time.

So, this is also the answer to some of the replies about why some torrents delete and why others don't. ITS NOT A RANDOM DECISION BECAUSE MODS HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION OR MODS DON'T UNDERSTAND THE RULES OR OR THERE IS GREY AREA OR THE RULES IS BROKEN OR THE RULES IS SHITS! Its because the lack of my man power. Sometimes, if I only have a little time to moderate, I just rely on torrent report, if there is a report I deal with it if there is none. But, mostly I do check the Themed and TV category that's why I found and took down many movies/TVs that not reported that against the rules. Sometimes it slips my eyes, so some torrent stay while other already deleted. So, thank you, this is a great input for me for now on thoroughly scan Themed and TV category for violations of the rules.

      Second,

I propose a change that would allow real GTRU users to determine "is it gay enough?":

      1. If a moderator thinks a movie isn't gay enough, they create a forum post, put a link in the torrent comments, and ask people to comment in the forums.  This forum post can be reused to explain the democratic decision of the users, every time the same movie is posted in different formats.

There is a Forum for all moderators called "Doubtful Torrent Issues", we put and discuss all there, about problem in torrent moderation, including themed movie and TV. We all decided what's Yes and what's No. This decision is moderators job not users. That's why we have rules, otherwise why don't we just put everything on Forum so users can decide which one is Yes or No.

      Third

      1. If users with matching cultural competency think it is gay enough, then it won't be removed.  Cultural competency means they speak the original language of the film and grew up in the area where the film was made.  These are the only people who really understand all the code-forbidden subtext, the closeted characters, the repressed desire…

That's why we have different mods that came from around the world and from different languages. We may still have small group of people but its enough. And once again, this is a Mod's job. If every time like this happens and the process must go with the process that you suggested, better not have a mod at all, just let the users decided everything everytime.

      Forth

In essence, we're asking Moderators to socialize the decision before removing torrents from Themed Movies and TV/Episodes categories.  That will allow many more GTRU users to participate in these discussions.  It will also provide an interesting and educational forum on the cultural meanings of gay-related films from all over the globe and from many different eras.  After we make this change, these deletions will much less random, and everyone will understand why they were deleted, which means they will be much more likely to agree with the decision.

Oh come on! Don't be such a hypocrite. You pay visit to Forum because you need something. I've seen your history, you only have 20 Forum comments and thats included this post and few replies and you already make. You only visit here because needed something not to socialize. You're not even ever reply to Introductions Forum where mostly users' first post in the Forum. So, if you are the example you wanna use like your suggestion, I don't what become of this site will be.

      Fifth

To make our torrents more interesting to a wider variety of gays, I also propose three additional changes:

      • Movies and shows that are interesting only because of naked hot men may be posted, in their entirety, under "Voyeur", but not Themed Movies / TV.  Lots of real GTRU users want to see these naked hot men.  Why would we delete torrents of naked hot men, from a site called "gaytorrents"?  SYNONYMES (2019) keeps getting deleted, despite the fact that it opens with an extended sequence of a hot Middle Eastern guy stroking his semi-erect cock in a shower.  That is legitimate Voyeur material and should not be deleted, to say nothing of the steamy, repressed homoerotic tension that pervades the film, but which is much less obvious to anyone who doesn't understand French.

      • Movies and shows that have unsimulated straight sex (but no gay characters) may be posted, in their entirety, under "Straight Younger" or "Straight Older", but not Themed Movies / TV.  These movies are basically straight porn with a fancy script and better production values.  We allow straight porn here, when properly categorized.  These films should not be deleted.

I don't know if you do understand what's the meaning of movie/film itself. Porn actually part of movie that evolve in times, to only be viewed to adult. While movie in general is for everyone. And then there is more specific part of the movie, its called LGBTQ Themed Movies. GayTorrent.ru is a place for gay porn stuffs, though exception we are broaden into allow straight sex but not significant, who happens also have non porn category LGBTQ Themed/TV. You have to note this, Themed and TV are the only place in the site that's not porn. NOT PORN falls under THEMED/TV category and all the PORN fall into variety of categories.

So, gay interest movie because of naked hot men, unsimulated straight sex in movie that not themed movie, are not allow in the site in any category because they are not PORN and NOT THEMED. Mixing a NOT PORN torrent into PORN category its a bad idea, I think you better than this. Otherwise, why we have category at all? Why just not mixing them up altogether?

      Lots of real GTRU users

You mean yourself. You can find those movie outside GayTorrent.ru, there are lots of them. This is a gay site, only LGBTQ is in here. And if we allow gay interest movie in here, I could upload the first movie of Captain America because I feel Chriss Evans is so hot when he's shirtless in the movie. The site will be flooded with torrent that have no boundaries. We don't want that. That's why we have rules.

      Sixth

      • Movies and shows that are essential to the history of drag are also allowed. This would include classics with Judy Garland, Peggy Lee, Doris Day, etc.  There are not many of these, and they are beloved of drag queens all the world over.  We should not delete drag classics from a site named "gaytorrents"!

I agree with this and we can make an exception to this type of classic movie.

      Seventh

PS – I've noticed that East- and Southeast-Asian films with subtle homoeroticism, repressed/non-explicit gay characters, or concealed/closeted characters are never deleted from this site, despite being against the letter of the rules.  I suspect that one of the moderators has excellent cultural competency in East and SE Asia, so they understand the subtle clues that tell the audience that this character or situation is gay, despite the obfuscations introduced by directors, censors, and code standards.  I respect and appreciate this moderator's subtle understanding of locally-produced films.  All I am asking for is the same consideration for non-Asian films.

They are gay movie and you can clearly watch it from the the script, that's why they are allowed.

      bc22

If the server and database space allows, maybe some torrents can be listed as Killed due to (Reason) instead of deleted outright, or put into a category called Questionable Category especially since not all copies or versions were removed in the example you give. (The power for trusted moderators to delete should stay alive for a variety of reasons).

Let me explain a little bit how this works. Mods have ability to change the category of a torrent and there is a category that only Mods can see. We put every torrent that brake he rules there to keep them from public eyes, so we're not directly permanently delete a torrent from the tracker once its brake the rules, except for some severe braking. They will stay there until all the leechers is gone.

And one las thing, for urx585

Torrent trackers are both supremely democratic, and uniquely individualistic.

We are not trying to be an authoritarian here, but you have to remember that this site is also is private owned site and if I'm not mistaken GayTorrent.ru is a a private tracker. . The owner could do anything he want and what he please. He's generous enough to provide us with this such amazing site for our own self fun. But also we have rules. And we mods follow that rule for the better of the site.

So, I've been saying this for many times to you and I will say this one more time, now in public place, you cant just force your own self opinion to accommodate your own agenda. If you can't follow the rules, just go away, there is plenty fishes in the see, go somewhere else place that fit your own.

    • 150 Best LGBT Movies of All Time - Rotten Tomatoes (2018)

Its been a while since my last post about the best gay movies in the world. This is a hard job actually because it seems every media (TVs, magazines, papers, blogs, etc) have their own lists. The result may have big different, but at least we can count of some movies that we all agree with. So, this time, brought you the list from Rotten Tomatoes (2018). Personally I agree with the list, though I don't really follow movie about lesbian, I'm almost zero knowledge about it. I was surprise at first to see that Shelter was not on the list. When I saw it Rotten Tomatoes rating, actually pretty low, that's why Shelter didn't get the cut.

Anyway, I just copied their text here and below is the list. Hope we can find some recommendation from the list.

It’s been a big few years for lesbian and gay movies and queer-themed films. In 2013, Blue is the Warmest Color won the Palm D’or at Cannes; in 2016, Carol earned six Oscar nominations; just a year later, for the first time in history, an LGBT film took home Best Picture. That movie was Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight, and in 2018 Call Me By Your Name almost made it two in a row for gay-themed movies at the Academy Awards, earning a Best Picture nomination. This March, Twentieth Century Fox put out Love, Simon, the first mainstream, wide-release teenage rom-com to focus on a gay character. And the critics did indeed love it.

All of these films stand on the shoulders of other LGBT films that have come before. Our list of the 150 Best LGBT Movies of All Time stretches back almost 90 years to the pioneering German film, Mädchen in Uniform, which was subsequently banned by the Nazis, and crosses multiple continents, cultures, and genres. There are broad American comedies (The Birdcage), artful Korean crime dramas (The Handmaiden), groundbreaking indies (Tangerine), and landmark documentaries (Paris Is Burning). To be considered for the list, a movie had to prominently feature gay, lesbian, trans, or queer characters; concern itself centrally with LGBT themes; present its LGBT characters in a fair and realistic light; and/or be seen as a touchpoint in the evolution of queer cinema. The final list was culled from a longlist of hundreds, after the films were ranked according to the Adjusted Tomatometer, which acts as a kind of inflation adjustment, taking into consideration the Tomatometer score, as well as the number of reviews a film received relative to the average number of reviews for films in the same year it was released.

We did not include miniseries, which left out seminal works like Angels in America. And we recognize that some of the films in the list will re-ignite healthy debates that have been fixtures of discussion around LGBT films — straight actors playing gay characters, cis actors playing trans characters (an issue that flared up again around the upcoming film, Girl, at this year’s Cannes Film Festival), and the historical dominance of white male perspectives. We’d encourage those debates to continue, respectfully, in the comments section below. (And speaking of comments: yes, we know that But I’m a Cheerleader is missing — we love it too! — but it’s Rotten, at 35%, so… blame the critics.) For now, join us as we celebrate Pride, and the work of hundreds of filmmakers whose talents and risks have opened up the possibilities of cinema.

      1. Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Could've been better, or maybe I just don't really like Star Wars. Gave it 6/10

      2. I also just finished Sharp Objects (2018- ) Season 1. Its a good series, I would like to see the next season and I bet that Amy Adams will get nomination for Leading Actress in Drama fro Emmy next year. 8/10

      3. American Crime Story (2016- )
ACS is awesome in the first season with O.J. Simpson, Sarah Poulson is great. So, I'm curious about Gianni Versace, most for Ricky Martin. He had a short appearance but deserved the Emmy nomination. The season 2 is great. Full of gayness and blood. Darren Chris was great too. I thought he's gay, turn out that actually he's straight.

      Ocean's Eight (2018)

I had a really high expectation about the movie because the cast packed with powerful leading and supporting Oscar winners. But, I guess its just the story, too easy. They need to make another movie with more complex situation, they already have badass casts. Gave it 6/10

It's a good and challenging story lines, but its a little bit too fantasy. I mean, I don't think that would happen in the real world.

    • RE: Bored with porn, any good/new sites or content

Usually, when gay porn bored me, I turn to straight stuff with enough male objectification in there. I particularly love straight creampie porn, even though its also hard to find one that actually real creampie, most of them are fake. But, when you find one, its actually really hot to see penis throbbing inside.

And when straight begin to :puke:  :sickr: me, I'm back to gay porn with more excitement than the last time.

Try CFNM or CMNM for start.

For gay bareback, FuckerMate, Latin Leeche, Time Tales and HotBoys are still good.
