I actually AGREE with Bette Midler!

Bette Midler is telling all women to go on strike and stop having sex.
HOORAY!Maybe that will get more men to wise up! Who in their right mind would want to have sex with a woman anyway? That is disgusting!
-
"My body, my choice" only applies to killing babies.
It has absolutely nothing to do with male genital mutilation.
Bitches be hypocrites.
-
@raphjd it is interesting that some states allow abortions up until the day of delivery (and beyond if the baby survives an abortion) yet there was a case in Florida about seven years ago in which a woman gave birth in a toilet and put the baby in a trash can and got charged with first degree murder
-
The Gov of Virginia said on the radio that he wanted to allow abortions even after delivery.
He said something like "we'll leave the baby on the table, have a cup of tea, and chat about it before deciding what to do with the baby".
-
@raphjd There are two states that allow live babies outside of the mother to be deprived of food and die on the table. This is what happens when democrats are in control.

Which ones?

That is a ridiculous claim. NO US STATE allows such things. Once a baby is born, it is - by the laws of EVERY US STATE, an individual person.
By way of an example: here in Fla a few years back, I fostered a young soon-to-be-mother. She turned 18 about a week before her baby was born. By State Law, her medical care from when she was 18 until she gave birth WAS NOT covered under State Medicaid. Once the baby was born, he (the child) INSTANTLY was covered by Medicaid, as was she (because she now qualified as a mother). It got REALLY strange on the bill she showed me (we challenged much of it with the Hospital, and they agreed to waive all of her fees.)
The MOST LIBERAL laws about abortion unsurprisingly come from the NE US: For example, In 2019, New York State passed a law that removed abortion from the state penal code and allowed doctors to perform an abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy ONLY if the mother's life is at risk or the fetus is not viable.
Most US States have what are called "gestational limits" - a point in the pregnancy after which abortion (except in certain circumstances) becomes illegal. About 22 weeks is the average.
Read more about the ACTUAL state of abortion laws in the US States here
To be clear: I do NOT believe in abortion - but I also don't believe that there should be exceptions for rape, incest, or any other behavior of adults! If you cannot be killed at +20 weeks old because of the sins of your father, you shouldn't be able to be killed at -20 weeks for the same thing! I think abortion as a manner of "birth control" is abhorrent, and that when it is necessary because of dangers to the mother (or because of the non-viability of the fetus) that it is a tragedy. But I also don't think I have the knowledge - nor even the imagination - to know every circumstance...
-
To be clear: I believe women are actual thinking, feeling human beings. And they are the ones giving birth, which is an objective fact it truly seems as though certain people are quick to forget. Neglect. Attempt to set aside.
If you're going to advocate for all life being born, you are obligated to do this thing where you treat women like they are actual human beings. Who have been living for some time, possessing full awareness of a day-to-day existence. Appreciation for pain, sacrifice, the drive to continue living in a world which treats them quite literally as baby factories. Alas, they are in fact human beings who have functioning emotions and complex thoughts.
And it is not now nor ever has it been any idle detail when people mention that the act of giving birth and the toll it takes on women physically and mentally is a very serious thing. I know certain people's grasp of the word serious truly comes and goes on a whim.
At no point in America's "evolution" has it been a common thing for people to go around setting each on fire or drilling into each other's gums/knocking-in teeth with a quasi-surgical tool. Pains which have appropriately been compared to freaking childbirth. While also arguing they deserve the right to subject others to those pains, for any reason whatsoever. Especially moral reasons. Morality / "the greater good" + advocating for forcing people to undergo agonizingly painful experiences = don't we typically argue against the Nazi concentration camps and the Salem witch trials? I guess that sort of thing only remains eternally in-vogue for some on the political spectrum.
The yesteryear national debate on Tom Cruise attempting to dictate Brooke Shields' course of post-pardum medicinal treatments was merely one fantastic teaching opportunity that I remember... did everyone else forget? Women who've given birth deal with a host of hormonal issues men are not privy to understanding, several triggering deep depression. We learned this some time ago.
Giving birth is not a simple in & out procedure. Something I also believed we are each well aware of. Guess it's one of those things that just comes and goes at whim. Whereas: mothers still in fact die in and shortly after childbirth in the wealthiest nation in the entire world. U.S.A. This is no idle detail related directly to giving birth. None of these details are idle. But certain people force us into discussions ruled by how much each of us actually care. About humans who actually understand fear and pain and their rights being violated rather than the concept of humans yet to be born.
Until every person who decides they should be allowed to make the decision for a woman or a family that they cannot terminate a pregnancy literally goes through child birth... they have absolutely no right whatsoever to claim they have authority over the woman's body. How long ago was it we forced men (and/or women) to be drafted into war? Do we (in the U.S.) still do that, or is it kind of against a person's actual human rights?
Again: I know a word like authority has this strange ability to twist definition in the minds of certain people. But, as for me, the objective facts leave me a total of zero moral qualms about suggesting it's better for society as a whole to continue viewing unborn clumps of cells as exactly that and nothing more.

Do you support men having the option of saying NO to fatherhood?
Do you support treating women as criminals for the theft of sperm, such as the hotel worker who stole the used condom so she could get pregnant by the rich guy who used the room, so she could get child support?
Do you support male victims of rape not being on the hook for child support? If a woman rapes a male child and she gets pregnant, he is on the hook for child support.
I'd say that women can have abortions if they can show that they used proper birth control and NO, we aren't talking about using strawberry jelly, like in the HOUSE episode.

@kalcifer87 They did it in a backwards way.. by decriminalizing the murder of babies... so.. if a baby is delivered live, and is allowed to die without being cared for, that is no longer a crime. https://lozierinstitute.org/six-states-and-their-radical-approaches-to-abortion-law/

You have been trained well by the @raphjd, grasshopper - you, as he so often does, have quoted a source that DOES NOT backup or confirm your assertions!
Look, I'm no fan of abortion - but it HURTS the cause when you so blatantly LIE about the other side!
In the article above, it DOES highlight SIX US States that broadened abortion rights. What did you expect from their Dem legislatures and Dem Governors? They KNOW that Roe v Wade is gonna DIE soon enough, so they're codifying THEIR positions into THEIR State laws... If WE want to use State Laws to deny abortion "rights" (and I use the term loosely), they certainly they can use State Laws to allow them! (Ever heard the term: double edged sword?)
BUT, none of them - at least not as written about in this article - have de-criminalized killing a baby once it is born. Not caring for a newborn isn't even mentioned in the article - AT ALL - and, in NO US STATE is it legal to kill - through action or inaction - a human being (other than under the orders/sentence of a Judge and approved by the Governor) once it has been born.
Their new laws are egregious and morally repugnant (to me)... but to make claims that are SO VERY EASY to prove untrue, hyperbolic, and inflammatory, you do yourself - and the cause - no favors.

Before you talk a ton of shit, let's not forget that you have blatantly lied about what is still exactly written on a website.
I quoted and posted the link directly to the Mayo Clinic's website for C-19 and I quoted directly from their webpage, where they said that if you get the vaccine, it will PREVENT you from getting C-19.
You made up all kinds of shitty mental gymnastics to claim that the exact words on their page didn't actually say what it literally said.
You routinely do this.
You also routinely downplay EVERYTHING done by Democrats or done that favors them.
You downplay the fact that all the things that the Carter/Baker Commission said would cause voter fraud, the Dems did.
I point out Dems who have been prosecuted for multiple counts of voter fraud and you excuse it away.
I point out (with a link) the woman in Wayne County who confessed to doing it for over 20 years and in the triple digits each time, but you pretend it's nothing.
I point out how an entire election in NJ was so dirty that it had to be thrown out. Well, the Presidential election was totally clean, said the judge, but the rest of it was extremely dirty. Of course, you ignored the fact that the judge just so happened to be a Dem.
Every topic is the same.
So before you talk shit about me, clean up your own damned house.

Sadly you still haven't responded to my previous post.
I'd like to add another question for you.
Do YOU believe that a woman has ZERO right to have her male child circumcised? This accounts for 84% of infant male genital mutilation in the US.
I ask this based on the statement you made in the 2nd to last paragraph you wrote.
It pretty much comes down to either, women are hypocrites or you are.
As a side note, the draft laws are still 100% in effect. Males who do not register for the draft can face many punishments and loss of rights and privileges. Under the guise of gender equality, feminists are against including women in the draft. Even if we do include women in the draft, and there is a war, birth rates will skyrocket so they don't have to go.

You silly Russian Troll - I don't DOWNPLAY Dem bullshit - I've written plenty about them... what I don't ABIDE by is INFLAMING shit purely for the fun of trying to make things WORSE than they actually are!
And while you are right about the MAYO Clinic saying the vaccine would prevent the COVID-19 illness - you made it sound like they were saying it would prevent the VIRUS - and those are 2 different things... and unlike you, I was clear and specific about what the difference was and how plainly & utterly stupid your argument that it (the vaccine) could actually prevent the virus from entering your body was... but you, in your Trumpy way, cannot admit that you made any error of any kind, and insist that, no matter how small the point, you are/were/will-always-be correct!
But you keep on being your Russian Troll supporting self: keep spreading your lies designed to hurt and divide the country (starting tomorrow it'll be about the California election being stolen... because, after all - if the 5-million registered Republican voters in CA can't out-vote the 10-million registered Democrat voters in CA, there must be fraud! - indeed, ANY election you lose, MUST BE FRAUD... it can't be that even Republicans around the state (of CA) can't abide by replacing the idiot Newsom with the DANGEROUS and DERANGED Elder. )
I'll keep shining a light on those lies and exaggerations - and keep on supporting REAL Conservative political principles... and I'll keep trying to calm the overall temperature of the politics - even it that means inflaming you (and your type)!
FWIW: If you'd bothered to read: I am anti-abortion - even in the case of rape and incest (since when do we, as Americans, punish the child - the unborn child - for the sins of the father?) ... but I do NOT support the false narrative that Dems want to legalize the murder of newly-born children (except, of course, for when they want to eat them... isn't that part of the extremist narrative too?).
Even though this false and inflammatory narrative purports to support my side of the argument, I don't support the false demonization of them (pro-abortionists) purely to falsely prop-up my own side... my side has decency and morals (from all major religions) on it's side, it doesn't need lies and exaggerations to make it's point more correct!

Ok, if you say so dearie.
You can go back to sniffing Pelosi's panties now, you pathetic little-brained Democrat.
-
It takes a real douche bag, in the best DNC vein, to screech about dividing the country, while acting like a total asshole toward those that disagree with them. Of course, an ass clown that votes for Honest Joe would have no problem with this since that's what your supreme leader does.
If I'm a Russina Troll, then you are Pelosi's snatch.
I wonder if you and Creepy Uncle Joe share other traits.
You are full of shit about every topic.
