Where is the Conservative Outrage?

Your TDS is so extreme that you view everything through those lenses.
By law, the BBC is required to be neutral in its reporting, but they have a heavy leftist bias. I'm sure the ABC has similar requirements.

You are so blinded by your opposition to me, you can't see the IDIOCY of what you speak.
My posting said that ALL news organizations have a bias - if only in their choice of what stories to "publish".
- When I choose to report (factually) about the black officer shooting a white man, but choose to NOT report about the black officer shooting a black man - there is a bias. Even if the reporting itself is totally factual and unbiased, the choice of what to report and what NOT to report is going to have a bias - it has to, people are people.
The BBC has many legal requirements - it is state-owned and operated. The ABC (Australian) is actually (on purpose) molded after the BBC model. Both have a reputation for being somewhat Liberal in their editorial bias, but both also have strong reputations for reporting truthfully and fairly.
But to be fair to both - what's "liberal" in the UK and AU is not necessarily aligned with what's considered "liberal" in the US. (Typical of US residents to "Americanize" all other parts of the world - a little surprised to find you guilty of that as well, in that you live overseas).
In Germany, DW (Deutsche Welle) is also considered "slightly left center", but it's hard to get English Language (I don't read German) news from Gernany (arguably the strongest EU member nation)...
Also, as I stated in my original posting - and repeated just today - this isn't a "complete list" of sites I scan for news... but they are the more well-known. In Australia there is also Sky News (their version of Fox News) - but I often read those articles mainly when I'm interested in the internal politics of Australia - where the biases of both mostly appears.
When you limit yourself to a single viewpoint (when you choose to put yourself into an echo-chamber of like-minded people), you miss opportunities for personal and intellectual growth.
That said, I have no interest in either side's ultra-partisan "news" outlets.. Mother Jones and OAN alike! I'm not hyper-partisan, and I don't like the hyper-partisan "spin" outlets like these use to spin (and sometimes blatantly falsify) their reporting (they BOTH do it!).
You like to say that I have "TDS" (assumed to be something like "Trump Dysliexia Syndrome" or some other D-word)... but I'm not AUTHORING posts against Trump! I'm replying to YOUR posts that are spouting pro-Trump propaganda...
For posts you make about non-Trump items, we've been in agreement on multiple occasions. But when you (and others like you) spout off right-wing conspiracy theory laden tales of military coups and magical returns to power, I DO reply - because it is dangerous to let such things go unchallenged.
Honestly, other than when replying to your hyper-Trump blitherings, I don't think about Trump any more than I do about Obama or Carter or the Clintons or the Bushes... they're all historical footnotes waiting around to die and let History grade their lives... I'm more interested in the future than the past.

For the most part, Europe is to the left of the US. A European conservative would be comparable to a center-right American. I've lived here for the last 20 years.
TDS is Trump Derangement Syndrome.
I don't limit myself to a single viewpoint.
You hate Tucker, but you admit you don't watch him, and yet you call him a liar. How would you know?!
It's funny how you think that my posts are about Trump, when in fact they are mostly anti-liberal. Obviously, anyone with as an extreme case of TDS reads Trump into everything.

Treating all of Europe as one, even similar, block is ludicrous - like combining the Deep South and New England would be in the US...
TDS is Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Trump is a sad-sack, self-aggrandizing loser.... but I don't think he's deranged.
I don't limit myself to a single viewpoint.
I would disagree - almost all of your posts come straight out of Conservative, Trump-Centric media... you're being spoon-fed this crap, and it shows.
You hate Tucker, but you admit you don't watch him, and yet you call him a liar. How would you know?!
I've never claimed to hate Tucker Carlson. I've called him out when he's said some dumb stuff, but then - anyone on live, unscripted TV for as many hours a week as he is would be bound to say some dumb stuff now and then (I think he's "hitting above average" in the obvious propaganda department, but that's what he's paid to do!
Tucker is a "new media" kind of news personality - its not about the news being right or wrong, it's about propaganda and ratings. But more than that, it's also about the "host" becoming the news...
As they say: There's no such thing as BAD publicity
It's funny how you think that my posts are about Trump, when in fact they are mostly anti-liberal. Obviously, anyone with as an extreme case of TDS reads Trump into everything.
Actually, you tie almost everything back to Trump. At least in the postings I reply to... as I've noted before, when your postings are in-line with my Conservative beliefs, I nearly always do not reply, unless it is to remark (as I have a few times now) that we agree about something.

Europe, excluding the former Soviet Bloc. That better?
You have the mental illness of extreme TDS. You would rather have a freak like Honest Joe, despite how much of a POS he is.
NOPE, I get my news from many sources.
But you said you don't watch TV to get your news. I find it strange how you know everything about Tucker, but nothing about the scandals from your side's media. It's like how you know everything QAnon says, but you don't know the lies your own side has been proven to have said.
How would you know what conservatives believe?

You repeatedly claim I've said hateful things about Tucker Carlson... I don't watch the man, I don't mention him in this forum...
You do!
I know what Conservatives believe because, pre-Trump I was a bona-fide Conservative... I'm the FIRST to admit that, under the influence of Trump, I'm re-considering that label ... I may have to go straight "Libertarian"... but I'm not ready to give up on Republican yet... I'm certain there *will be a Republican Party once Trump kicks it and there is an actual grave for people to piss on...
-
LOL, you call him a liar. But you don't watch him.
YEP, you get your "news" from the loony left media.
You aren't a libertarian either, as you believe that everyone must do as they are told. No liberty there.

@bi4smooth I would like to ask if you voted for Hillary, because if you did, I'd say you have very poor judgement... And everything you say henceforth is lame. You know she did that Haiti thing right? With 1 billion raised, and kept 90%... You know about that right?

I think we can keep the "conservative" label, but with a lower-case "c" so as not to be muddled in with Trump and his kind. I have many friends in the States who believe in free enterprise, personal responsibility, and government staying within its means. These were pillars of the Republican party until the little Orange Toddler came along.
but I'm not ready to give up on Republican yet... I'm certain there *will be a Republican Party once Trump kicks it
It will take time for things to stabilise. Many people have dropped the Republican label and would be ready to come back post-Trump. As the party shrinks, though, it tends to look rather bad as those remaining are heavily skewed towards the Trump/Q mentality (or lack thereof).
and there is an actual grave for people to piss on...
Be sure to wear sensible shoes, as you'll be waiting in a long queue. I might even see you there.

I don't know squat about Hillary Clinton - the 2016 election was, for me at least, very similar to the 2020 one: more about avoiding the known danger of letting (Hillary in 2016, Trump in 2020) get back into the White House!
I long for the days when I could cast a vote for President FOR a candidate instead of against one!
- John McCain would have been a President to be PROUD OF!
- Mitt Romney would have been a President with MORALS, HONOR AND DIGNITY
Hillary was the candidate to avoid at all costs in 2016, and how ironic that Trump became that same thing just 4 years later!

@eobox91103 The GOP party shrinking? Where you have McAllen TX, 90% hispanic, voting for Trump. Where you have Cubans in Florida voting GOP and Trump. Where you have almost half of Black People voting Trump? It's not shrinking bud. Because after everything that's happened, people will never go back to the Democrat side. There are only Democrats leaving their party. Republicans never go Democrat, except for the RINOs like John McCain and Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney. They were never real Republicans to begin with.

LOL - Ask the Secretaries of State in most every State - people are changing their party affiliation AWAY from our Party.
It does us no good to pretend this isn't happening

@bi4smooth Nonsense.

Both are absolute crap.

Oh, and the reason people are fleeing the Repub party is because of the loser swampies that won't do anything for the people.
People are fleeing the DNC-controlled areas and going to the RNC-controlled areas.
-
@raphjd There are splits in both parties. But Republicans who may be done with their party, are no way in hell going to the Democrat side, ever.
-
It would take something extraordinary for me to ever vote Dem again.
If anyone that our resident fake conservative supports runs for the Repubs, I'll waste my vote and go for some crackpot party.
I refuse to vote for swampies, RINOS, and enemies of the US.
Anyone who isn't America First can fuck off.
Note: Most western countries have the problem of caring about their country last. They don't care about their Vets, while throwing tons of welfare at illegals.
Scotland, for example, officially had 38k homeless (homeless charities highly dispute this figure) that they couldn't find homes for and wouldn't help. Yet, Scotland was able to find 2k homes for refugees they imported from refugee camps and automatically put them on every form of welfare.

@raphjd Oh Raph. I have a secret network of gays for Trump. Lol! Jk. But there were plenty of Lesbians and Gays at Trump's rally. Lots of rainbow flags.
-
I know a lot of LGBTs and other minorities that support Trump.
-
@raphjd said in Where is the Conservative Outrage?:
I know a lot of LGBTs and other minorities that support Trump.
There were Jews (and gays) who supported the Nazis - that there are some outliers does not prove anything.
But this takes me back you my earlier point - it is clear to me now that you were never a Republican (likely not a Conservative either) -- PRE-Trump.
You're a Trumpite, not a Republican, and not a Conservative... and that's OK, just be who you are and don't claim to be otherwise.
If we accept your definition of a Republican (which I don't, but will for 10 seconds for the sake of argument), then your claim that "To be Republican is to support Trump" would be in stark contrast to me belief that "The Republican is greater than any 1 man, and that it is (ok, was) a party of principle and honor."
It also explains why you insist that I am no longer a Republican... and strictly by your twisted definition, you would be right - I do not "follow" Trump.
