Also... I forgot to mention... There are two other options that you can use to get around that.

Option #1 (recommended): Use of a VPN server. This will tunnel absolutely all of your internet traffic, including DNS requests and such through a secure tunnel to a remote location. This also masks your real IP address as well as the nature of what you are doing.

Option #2: Use of a proxy server

@__shrunkenboy__: Your manual uploads seem to work, all started seeding, most completed the initial upload.

However, there are 3 only partly seed. Either you over estimated your upload speed and don't seed 24/7; or your torrent client's queuing priorities made to pause seeding them. If priority is the issue, usually a "force start" does the trick.

No, it works through your torrent program.

Just keep whatever you have downloaded seeding in that and somebody might pick up on it.

For instance, earlier this week I seeded 1GB to two people for torrents that I downloaded months ago. I'd forgotten they were even seeding.

So you can close your browser as you want to. Good luck with your ratio 🙂

You need to upload the photo in two different places. The forum is an own web site embedded into the main torrent site.

The picture uploaded to the site "Profile" page will show only on your Profile page and aside comments you make to torrents.

The forum "Profile" page is a little hidden. Visit the "Forum" from the blue menu band. There should be a welcome with your name on top of the forum pages (below the main site header); Below that Welcome is another blue menu band with forum function. There is another "Profile". On that forum Profile, you can set to upload a picture or a link to a picture on the web. You can link to the same picture you've uploaded for the site Profile. That picture will be shown aside your forum posts.

**_It really pays to scan through forum(s) coz you will learn a lot, regarding like,  on how to (in this case) upload a profile pix in "Forum"
(that uploading a profile pix in your main profile will not automatically show in your "Forum" profile)

The data file will only be deleted if you choose that option when deleting the torrent file. Just deleting an entry in your list does not affect the downloaded file.

Just remember… If you're using a VPN, the only thing that your provider can see is the total amount of data transferred. Who is to say that you do not run a server of some sort, say for a home based business? While upload totals may be tell-a-tale that you're distributing content out to the internet, they cannot be used to determine exactly what that content was. That's the beautiful thing about VPN traffic.

Also, I'm glad I'm in Canada where the laws surrounding that kind of thing are much more sane than they are in the United States.

I think it was Sean Cody that stopped using ID numbers a while back.

The guy who maintains a list on another site just made them up as they were posted on the SC site.

I am not familiar enough with either SC or CF to know properly

uTorrent (or any other client) needs to check for the exact file or files (or copies) that the torrent was made from.

So for one file in a torrent you point uTorrent to that file.

If the torrent was made from a folder than you would need to have a folder for uTorrent to check.

In short, it doesn't matter where the files are as long as uTorrent can check them.

The short answer is: GayTorrent.ru recommends the use of a VPN for both torrents and site navigation.

The longer answer:
a) If you albeit to the ToS and Rules, you should have no issue with your uploads, because you got the right to share the creative works for which you upload a torrent.

b) However, when you download, you can't be sure other members uploading albeit always to the ToS and Rules. Therefore a protection of your privacy is recommended.

c) There are copyright owners, respectively their agents scanning the listings and sending take down requests to GayTorrent.ru, which is removing such alleged copyright infringing sharing torrents shifty (as fast as possible with the staffing available). This will reduce the in b) mentioned possibly copyright infringing sharing and therefore enforce the in a) mentioned ToS and Rules. See the DMCA item in the menu band.

d) Though copyright owners and their agents can view the listings and help to keep GayTorrent.ru "clean", it is not tolerated that they spy on members.
