@ianfontinell what penalties? I don't see any guidelines about this... I've had a dozen removed over a couple months, so what is the threshold then? if there is one and why would there be? It's arbitrary and I don't know whether it will be taken down or not as it's inconsistent.

@cinemacapman no worries, it will all be moot here soon enough... when 80% of peoples' uploads get removed, the site's days will be numbers as far as engagement and quality goes. Please promote the alternatives and those other sites

@eobox91103 google is your friend There is no such thing as non copyrighted material. The content creator owns the copyright the moment they create it. Even if downloaded with permission it cannot be shared legally. The only exception to share without permission is fair use. Therefore a site demanding only non-copyrighted material would have no content lol unless people are uploading their own work. But that wouldn't be pleasant lol

@jonwalkee this will only get worse as people give up trying to post anything anymore. Only 25% of my torrents have been left up. 4 remain and 10 removed. Not sustainable.

@lololulu19 all the content is copyrighted by definition. Fair use is the only exemption to be able to share content. Hence the site immediately complies with take down notice.

Not sure what fantasy world you're living in. Fair use would be the only means of sharing and doubt we want anyones commentary on porn. @ianfontinell huh? everthing shared is copyrighted. It was produced by someone who has given permission to reproduce or share. That includes porn, TV, movies etc etc. You know those things the site has categories set up for. Seriously man.

Just stating the obvious: when one has 4 torrents that finally remain seeding (for now) and 10 have been removed, clearly only must assess and ascertain as to whether this is the best use of their time and effort. No whine necessary to state the obvious. But thanks for your thoughtful input on the issue.

You suggested or mused as to whether you should or could report these torrents at one point. Anyways, it will all be moot as more content is removed and more people just give up. I feel silly for sending them donations recently lol.

@lololulu19 LOL not sure you got the memo but seeing this is a bittorrent site explicitly created to circumvent copyright controls that would be a pointless exercise. Unless you're producing your own content in your basement and sharing, everything here is subject to copyright. So basically you're hoping for a warning shot from someone that might have a radar detector announcing they were busted.... when everyone and everything is subject to being "busted". Perhaps you could focus your efforts on the algorithmic and coding side of whatever surveillance technology is used, either through keywords or other means and advise us on the best measures to take to minimize the risk of getting busted. @gizmo4005 good luck lol. Yes new as well and after a couple months and having donated to the site and now trying to upload and seed under the current conditions whereby most of my content is removed, is.... well challenging. Should be interesting to see where things go from here.

@cinemacapman not sure what you'd expect someone to do? Trying to revive a dead torrent in the same form and folder and naming convention as the before would be a nightmare. And it would have to be the same file size so it would literally have to be the same content that had been torrented. Not sure how you'd expect anyone to do all that ground work and prep in order to resurrect something back from the dead.

@lololulu19 I'm afraid youre the Don Quixote of the the porntorrent world. It's irrelevant what your conception of copyright is with respect to porn. We are not the content creators and those that were have complete discretion to file copyright notices to have it removed. Case closed. Move on and find another hobby maybe?

@thangcuoi well that's a shame your UL privileges were suspended. I too would like to know what the policy is with respect to punitive measures in response to take down notices. How many before it's problematic? Or are only certain kinds problematic? when should one just stop trying to upload to avoid problems? There seems to be no guidelines and hearing someone randomly targetted without full disclosure is problematic. Hard to comply with uploading and posting rules when there aren't any in this regard.
