My first thing would be to check your monitor. If possible see if yours works on another PC or see if you can borrow one to try out on your PC

I did make one negative vote when I meant just a thumbs down. But that is probably balanced by my getting a good and bad reputation vote from Frederick.

And I couldn't possibly do 'tit for tat' on the forums because I thought personal abuse was against the site rules. I may be wrong.

PS Personal pronoun 'you' takes a plural verb in English

I have just posted two quite short messages on the forum; for the second one I got the error message that I hadn't allowed 60 seconds between posts

I've never come across this before. Makes me wonder how some people manage to post dozens of one-word replies in a short period…

I have just finished re-watching and enjoying:

Enemy of the State and
State of Play

another movie came to mind. I can't really remember much about it but it was set in Washington DC and was about a politician/businessman who wanted to pass a law to put the whole nation under surveillance.

If anyone has any idea what film it might be I'd be very grateful for a pointer. I have searched IMDB for political thriller conspiracy surveillance and found nothing.

Or am I imagining the thing?
