@rnd256 Not sure if you're focusing on just "Straight guys" but there is a studio called "Broke Straight Boys". I believe the guys were gay for pay and used to be quite believable that they were straight whilst being paid to have sex with another guy.

They have featured some guys who have gone onto other gay studios though so no idea if they are actually "Straight". It's hard to tell these days because actors like "Elliot Finn" are on tiktok telling his audience that he's straight but ends up bottoming for scenes from the studio MEN.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience on Guy on Girl action with the focus mainly on the guy, just guy on guy action. Hope this helps anyway.

@hhsq Yeah I gotta agree, movies is probably the riskiest place.

I caught a straight couple going at it in the movies too in my younger days. They weren't even in the back row which I would have expected.

The "Straight guys" i've hooked up with have always spawned out of a friendship. Having said that, I've killed a couple of friendships that way too where I've gone down on a guy, and the next morning it was very awkward.

In highschool it was mainly a way of getting off cause you took anything you could get so I ended up "helping out a mate" for a good 2 years before he moved schools and drifted away.

In my later years, a mate of mine got comfortable enough where I'd give him a blow job if he wasn't dating a girl. Very occasionally if he felt cockblocked, I'd help him out, but the chances of that were usually slim whilst he was dating someone.

We eventually drifted apart, and we're still good friends, but he declines the old hookup culture we had, and I totally respect that.

As echuta said, gloryholes are kinda perfect for just that hookup if you want to get off, or you want to satisfy an itch you want to scratch like going down on a guy and there's no prejudice about labels of "straight" or whatever.

Is it bad to be attracted to a straight guy? No, I don't think so. The problem I have is queer baiting and it's certainly rife over tiktiok where blatant straight guys try to get people to subscribe to their OF and are completely tone-deaf as to what content they are putting out because they'd never hook up with a guy at all

It probably also doesn't help that the Pandemic boosted the profiles of "self service" sites like OF/JFF/F4F/etc. I heard, and, take this with a grain of salt, that depending on where in the world you were, there were strict covid policies to adhere to, so it's not like you could just fly someone from another country in (or sometimes across country) and do a shoot.

Where as these "big names", as bi4smooth said, just grab a smartphone and start recording content to post. There are a couple of actors that I follow (not closely) on social media who are interesting and give their take on why they work with a studio, or why they work solo.

If you're interested look up Richie West on Youtube, or Tyler Tanner on Tiktok. Both give an interesting view of studios and contracts and a glimpse into the world of working for themselves vs a studio.

Having said that, I have no idea what a studio thinks of OF, but it's certainly a highly competitive platform given the low barrier to entry and low production quality (usually) vs what a studio produces

Obviously coming out is different to everyone, but I found that different situations meant that I was "coming out" multiple times. So what I mean by this is that whilst I told my close friend group and felt relieved because I was able to be more "myself" around them, I also came out to my parents, and work colleagues on separate occasions.

I'd say that in 99% of situations, it's better for your mental health, but it also isn't for everyone as well. My personal experience was that I didn't feel like I could come out to my parents until I was independently away from home with a solid car and a job for fear of being kicked out and disowned like all the horror stories you hear of. That's certainly far from what happened, but sometimes you just hype yourself up that way and it was a huge relief lifted off my shoulders after feeling like I had been hiding my true self.

I also adopted a strategy early on that I wouldn't hide and if anyone asked if I was gay, I'd tell them straight up and not dodge the question, but if they asked if I had a girlfriend, I wouldn't make excuses or anything, just say no, and if people pressed and asked why, tell them straight up I liked guys. It was much better than hiding and dodging and less tiring trying to fake a smile when someone would say "no worries, mate, you'll meet the right woman soon".

There was a running joke at work for a little while when I was in a relationship and my work colleagues noticed my mood lifted and they kept asking me, so who's the lucky girl, and I'd just joke and say "Me!". Because I was playing coy they termed me "under new management" and were very surprised when I introduced my then "boyfriend" as "new management" We all had a good laugh and life rolled on because everyone through i was straight and it became an in-joke for others that didn't know in the building that didn't work in the team I was in.

Plex tells me that I have 1.5TB of content and that doesn't count the 2TB external HDD that I have to go through to add to my plex library to make sure I don't have double ups and stuff...

I've been experimenting with Dropbox and Plex, but I've found oddly that some of it "fails" to upload. I haven't really done much investigation into why it fails, just that it does. So it sounds like there's some funny business going on there, so I'd probably avoid Dropbox.

I guess the question is, do you just want to store it, or do you want to watch it, or retrieve it? If you have a fast enough internet connection at home, nothing beats buying a network connected drive streaming straight from that.

Alternatively, you can "backup" files to stuff like Amazon S3 for dirt cheap, but they sting you for pulling it back out again.

If you're looking to stream files, my personal setup is a Drobo NAS, and Plex. That way you can store whatever you want, and stream it assuming that you have a fairly decent internet connection.
