I don’t think I know a lot. When it comes to tech I usually feel I know the least especially when I consider what some of my friends are capable of with a pc. And as stated… I know a couple guys who do porn to pay the bills. They talk about work like anyone else.

I just grew up with the tech & don’t think doing porn is as horrible a thing as lots of people make it. They could be dealing drugs or being sex workers in more dangerous ways. I think porn is a safe route compared to some ideas.

Grew up going traveling. A nude beach was nothing to my parents. My parents have never thought nudity was a bad thing & they are quite Christian. What makes it bad is the intent of the observer is what they taught me. That means I’m comfy in just my skin. No complaints so far. 

In the US skeevy men tend to troll the beaches. Going to a nude beach is almost like a fetish here (even family friendly ones) compared to European locations where the entire family go and it's no big deal. Seriously… it's like telling someone you're part of a swingers group.

The last time I hit a nude beach stateside was 3 years ago. The boyz & I (varying orientations & ages) did a road trip.

We all played sports and had no problem being naked around people. It wasn't anything sexual. Most of our parents had seen us most or all of naked. Some are more conservative than other & we respected that. It was nothing to have a weekend at one of our houses and find us jumping in the pool naked, walking out of the shower naked, etc. My friends know I would answer the door naked at home. If my parents let them in and they came into my room I slept naked. Jumping in my bed to wake me resulted in my wrestling in the buff. Me half sleep walking to get a drink at night… naked. It was nothing to my parents.

They only bothered me about cloths when we had specific company.

Can’t say I’m a nudist … I’m just comfy with my skin & always find myself naked when I wake up if I fall asleep in cloths.

Anyway..... we rented a beach house. There were some ladies, but mostly older men. Not a problem with older guys. A goodlooking, fit older & confident guy is hot. Fuck... I like the experience the two I have been with brought. These guys were not those. These guys were sleazy & made all our skins crawl.

The 1st day there saw us leaving the beach after being there for only a little bit. The men were a problem. A couple of guys started taking pics and/or vids. The skeevy "boy I'll teach you some things" & offers of pay were just.... ewww.

We got swim suits the next morning. We weren't even left alone in the suits. We ended up spending most of the time there in shorts when trying to enjoy the beach (though we mostly avoided it) because guys were so fucking annoyingly pervy.

They gave the impression that even boys would not be safe there with their families. That is just how gross those guys were.

Being naked, young, and fit didn't mean we wanted to be propositioned by guys who acted as though there was nothing on the beach to do other than ogle our ass and dicks. If you're going to look... look. Don't be pervy about it though. If you see ur making people uncomfotable in thier own skin with the come ons... back the fuck off.

Only 2 of the 8 of us had been to a nude beach. We really just wanted to enjoy the beach in the buff, but that was ruined.

Does anyone know how to fix a slow uploading speed once youve completed a download? The download went pretty fast. But now that its seeding the speed is sooo slow and Im only connecting to 2 out of 50+ peers. How does one fix that? What torrent client are you using?

uTorrent… even older better versions provide me w/ fewer peers and slower speed up & down (even here). And I LUV'd uT before all the crap they added. Switching to qBittorent fixed that on torrents I've had listed for weeks. I'll be testing Tixati. I'm finding the qBittorent help lacking when shite breaks or simple explanation of features is needed to ensure they are working the way they are actually described.

I went from a few MB/s d/up to hitting my set limit of 50MB d & 10MB/up.

You are inserting another point in your network traffic…. there is always going to be some impact to bandwidth no matter what the service states.

Switch to another server that is closer to your location. If you are trying to get around region-based IP blocks try switching to another server &/or location in your client. The server you;re on could simply be overloaded. One with fewer users could be noticeably faster.

If you are torrenting kill IPv6. A lot of providers do not fully support IPv6 and leaking occurs. Check with your provider to find out if they fully support it and hit the those "what is my IP" pages to see if you have leaks. Some specificly target IPv6.

It’s not about MAC, Windows, Linux etc. It's about the service.

Read the privacy policy. Every VPN provider's policy I have read in the past couple of months states something like "…. will never disclose any personal private data to third parties except when we must comply with laws that require such disclosure to law enforcement authorities or other government third party officials, such as subpoenas." That means... they can & will produce logs if they are legally required to do so.

IE... using a VPN service is not license to use that service for illegal conduct no matter where the company is based. Things like drug trafficking, pedo activities, sexual assault, etc. will see records provided to the proper authorities where ever you may reside. Rightfully so.

Torrenting is generally over looked by most of them and some have specific servers assigned for torrent IP protection. There have been some articles about some VPN services standing up to BREIN, MPAA etc. when they demand info on IP use.

One of my flat mates uses my VPN to stream BBC programs that are currently unavailable in the US and blocked without a UK IP. Yes…. He’s a sexy little Brit who misses home.

When Netflix blocks a movie or series we want to see… VPN. When we browse the net and want to confuse social media, google, etc.…. VPN.

Basically... don't do anything that would give the impression that their respective brands are happily assisting with the vilest of online activities and you're generally good.

Forgot to mention... most use the OpenVPN protocol. Some of the client provided by the respective VPN services are trash. They seem to put more into make them pretty and basic for those who can't or refuse to do a little reading. I typical had problems with them. Plus I didn't like that I didn't have access to all needed configurable options.

A good VPN client for that protocol is Viscosity. I use it on my MAC and Windows machines. A license is $14 USD (about 7€ I think). It handles IPv6 in 2 ways to prevent IP leaks that I saw happening with other clients before I just shut down all external IPv6 communication on the local network.

I gave each of my roommates their own key.

A more universal client is TheGreenBow. It handles all the various VPN protocols. It’s likely to be overkill and cost 58.00€ (double that for USD). It’s also more a more in-depth process to configure.
