    • RE: Dating a gay father

      Dating a man with kids is no picnic, but believe me when I say it’s much harder on the other side.

      Finding a man who’s willing to enter a family situation is difficult.

      As we get older it becomes more and more common. Most guys I’ve known who’ve dated men with kids often make a vow once the relationship is over: “Never again will I date a man with children.” Men with kids know this.

      I’ve also seen countless of successful gay relationships that have beaten the odds and fought against their challenges to withstand a beautiful partnership with loving children.

      It is possible to enter a broken family with open arms; it’s just going to take a bit more effort. Besides, when you have the man of your dreams it’s always going to be worth the fight.

      :blink:

    • RE: Is possible to choose the sex of a child if done via surrogacy?

      Yes, you may opt for gender selection during the Surrogacy process if gender selection is permitted in the location to which you are entering your Surrogacy agreement.

      In reference to a study by the International Federation of Fertility Societies Surveillance 2010, gender selection by either sperm sorting techniques and/or embryo biopsy is allowed by statute in only 15 countries, not permissible in 43 and not even mentioned in law in 15, but is adept by one or both methods in 26 countries out of the 105 countries surveyed.

      Gender selection is obtainable through two methods for Intended Parents whose desire is to select the gender of the embryo enticed in their fertility treatment.

      The sex chromosome originating in the sperm is the influential factor for gender. The first method is an experimental sperm-sorting technique, called Microsort. Unsuitably, methods to sort X (female) from Y (male) sperm are still imprecise due to limited parameters in current technology.

      The second method is using IVF and PGD (Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis)

    • RE: Is having kids just to feel fulfilled a bad idea?

      The idea of having kids has been ingrained in us since childhood, with our parents dropping not-so-subtle comments like, “You'll know how it feels when you have kids of your own” or “I'll spoil my grandchildren.”

      The importance of reproduction also has roots in religion. In Christian faiths, Adam and Eve were put on earth to reproduce and start the human race. Big families, which are sometimes the result of refusing contraception, are especially common in Christian households.

      Then, of course, there is the influence of pop culture on reproducing. Movies like “Baby Mama” and “What to Expect When You're Expecting” perpetuate the idea that having kids of your own will somehow fulfill your entire life.

      Maybe having your own children will make your life worthwhile. It could also make your life much more stressful for social or financial reasons!

    • RE: The female figure on a household

      @nlaura:

      I think it reflects positively on you that you're considering all these things, worrying about your child's future before you even have them.

      However, I think your concerns are misplaced. Plenty of single parents raise healthy, well-balanced children. Kids care more about whether you love them, not whether your family's structure is socially widespread or not.

      Consider also this: we live in a society, there is an entire web of connections between people. Your kid is gonna interact with you and your partners' family, cousins, teachers, other kids, people on TV. It's not like kids grow up in a void or something, where they'll never see a woman in their entire lives.
      Some more food for thought: Just because somebody is female it doesn't automatically make them a good mother.

      I'm gonna let you in a little "secret". Most women are not born with the knowledge on how to be mothers. They learn that on their own with mostly trial and error after they've given birth.
      And what is a mother anyway? It's a role, just like any other. Someone who takes care of the family, who brings compassion and unconditional love to her children and always puts them above her own needs. But is this really gender specific? Apart from the giving birth part, no, not at all.

      Children need in any case caring parents..

      @revenger:

      Well follow those simple steps; 1)- cum in a glass, 2)- put it in the freezer and let it stay there a couple of time.  Aaaaaand.. DONE! and it costed U$$ 0, 00.

      @gaypraha2:

      my thought is the same as the other said: good for you… but I'm sorry you can't make a general "law" out of your own experience...that's called science 😉 so stating " Kids raised in gay households turn out beter " just because you had a great childhood... I'm afraid nope.. can't be said.

    • RE: Coming out to children??

      It’s never too early to come out to your child/ren.

      Kids understand love.

      What they don’t understand is deception or hiding.

      And it’s never too late to come out to your child.

    • RE: Same-sex couples could both be biological parents to their babies with new genet

      Several news publications have lost their collective minds over the years at the idea that men could be made ‘obsolete’ in the reproductive process by this possibility.

      Despite their overblown fears – and unfortunately, considering the fantastic potential for this to make biological babies of lesbian couples a reality – experiments are still ongoing.

      @eastonkellan:

      @rickydrexel:

      I am the proud father of a 14 year old son and a 3 year old son. I have never been ashamed of anything i've done and am always totally honest with my children, but is that a good or bad thing? Not really sure these days. It's to the point where my oldest has told a guy that he wouldn't last a week in a relationship with me, because he wasn't what I was looking for. Lbvs!

      If you are totally honest with your kids, maybe you have discussed this, with your oldest son or else, he wouldn't blurt it out…..kids are kids (to be fair with them)

      Kids..

    • RE: Cost effective surrogates? Where and how much?

      @yinjustin:

      Questions in the subject.

      I just read this question and I'm not sure what you are looking for..

      A surogate is a substitute, especially a person deputizing for another in a specific role or office..

      Was that what you were looking for?

      Did you find one?

      @DicksAreFun:

      Mostly bottom, I only have rare moods when I want to top. Usually I prefer to ride the guy at the start and then go from there depending on what he wants to do

    • RE: Connected or not?

      @imamadenan:

      I think as with any social app, they all perpetuates these crafted profiles of success and I tend to find that people who spend too much times on them compare too many aspects of their own life with these filtered Avatars. Especially when you're surrounded by them and whom seem to live such interesting and perfect lives when yours is the opposite. People are too concerned about themselves too really bother about anyone else.
