    • RE: Kavanaugh vs Ford, senate bloodsports

You would have thought Kavanaugh would have called for an FBI investigation into the allegations against him to clear his name, assuming he's innocent.

But you would have thought Trump would support any investigation into possible collusion between him or his campaign with Russian interference in the election, assuming he's innocent.

Strange that they do the opposite.

The flu causes inflammation in all the muscles of the body, including the heart. It is extremely dangerous, even if you are fit and healthy, to do strenuous exercise when you have the flu. When doctors say "rest", they mean it. There is always a spike in heat attacks during and in the months following flu season.

However, a lot of people mistake a cold for the flu. The flu causes a sore throat in the early stages, HIGH FEVER, chills, headache, muscle and joint pain, but often relatively minor respiratory symptoms compared to a common cold. If you have a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, red eyes, but no high fever and no headache and no muscular pain, you have a cold, not the flu. If you really have the flu (H1N1 influenza), you probably won't be thinking about doing anything except laying on your back.

      @r0lf:

People should be able to choose to be gay as well because sex is healthy and normal!

Definitely straight guys should feel OK about choosing to have sex with other men and maybe even having more sex with other men than they do with women, but that is not the same thing as "choosing to be gay".

By the way, whether he is a pedophile or a 9 year old boy trapped in a man's body, he shouldn't be allowed to interfere sexually with a 6 year old boy because of the obvious risk of harm to the boy.

Its not surprising that the far right tie themselves in knots over ideology, their "identity politics" invention and their obsession with legal fictions rather than reality.

    • RE: Why Won't the White House Call Russian Elections Corrupt?

One simple answer for why the white house doesn't:
      1. call Russian elections corrupt.
      2. threatens to start a nuclear war over North Korean missiles but says nothing about Russian hyper-sonic missiles.
      3. dragged kicking and screaming to make a weak and pathetic statement about Russian nerve gas assassinations in the UK.
      4. denies Russian interference in the 2016 primaries and election, even though Russians have already been indicted and sanctions applied for that very reason.

      etc. etc. etc.

That simple answer is "golden showers tape".

Yes, that's the quaint old fashioned view of the world. Invalidate your actual experience because it doesn't conform to the idea of "objective" reality. Even modern science has walked away from that fantasy. Experience IS reality. An idea never constitutes truth.

Normal person: I love the colour of this shirt.
Qaint old fashioned ontological dualist: No you don't because that doesn't constitute an objective fact.

    • Extracting Images from ePubs

I recently uploaded an epub book that is mostly photographic images.

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=1d7f2a297d98f635b9f5b89e8d356c2cbfa717d2b9028eab

I made a comment explaining how you can extract the images from an epub file but I thought I should post the information here in case people don't know.

.epub, like .docx, .xlsx etc. are actually zip archives with a directory structure containing xml and content. So you can easily hack into them by adding the extension .zip (if necessary) and then using your unzip utility to expand it. For epubs like the Marcelino nude photography book I linked to above, you would find in the expanded epub/zip a directory called "images" containing all the images linked to in the book.

Yeah yeah. A perfect demonstration of the point of view that religious conservatives (and those with the same mentality though they deny the label) have been arguing and losing ever since Sigmund Freud made his famous statement about decentering and Eastern spirituality started to influence the West.

You are pissing into the wind. No normal person cares what you think someone else is experiencing.

Our experiences are reality. They are the only truth, the only facts. How we make sense of our experiences is useful fiction. How you make sense of someone else's experiences is just bullshit.

    • RE: "I'm not a pedo. I'm a 9yo boy trapped in a man's body."

Wow, after two attempts you still have no idea what I'm talking about and so repeat the same insane question.

You are asking me to judge whether or not the guy is telling the truth about how he experiences the world, or he is lying. I have no way of knowing, and you have no way of knowing, and yours and my opinions, guesses, dreams and fantasies on the issue are of no relevance to anyone. If you want an answer toss a coin.

As is typical of the far right condition, form an opinion or ideology based on no evidence. Claim everyone else disagrees with you and then make it a political issue claiming their fantasy position is playing "identity politics", or being "politically correct."

"Just believe", means that a person can't make a judgement on another person's experiences and identity because they have no access to the facts of their experience so it is a waste of time doubting or even forming an opinion on the truth of what they say. The time (and money) is better spent focussing on the person's actual behaviour and the effects of it.

Let me guess, I assume you are one of those millions of Trump supporters who now believe whole heartedly that there really is a "Bowling Ball Test" for American made shit boxes that the Japanese are too intelligent to buy?

    • RE: "I'm not a pedo. I'm a 9yo boy trapped in a man's body."

Yeah, why am I not surprised that you didn't understand what I said?

Phenomenological facts, that is, what people actually experience, have always been inaccessible to science and the law. That is because we can't read minds. We are left with what are called Metaphenomenological facts, that is, what people SAY they experience. When a person says "I am a 9 year old trapped in a man's body", he is either truthfully reporting his actual experience, or he is telling lies. There is no reliable way of telling the difference, though inconsistencies in his account might give some clues. Your opinion and my opinion on that is totally irrelevant.

"So, are saying this child fucker is a 9yo boy or what?"

Part of the RWNJ mentality is the desperate need to have an opinion on everything even though it makes absolutely no difference to anything.

What is relevant is whether or not this man's situation is harmful to others or himself. It is not necessary to form an opinion about what he is actually experiencing to make that judgement.

    • RE: An interesting take on LGBT folks in Hinduism

In the English translation of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says to Arjuna, urging him to fight in the Mahabharata war:

"Do not become a coward, O Arjuna, because it does not befit you. Shake off this weakness of your heart and get up (for the battle), O Arjuna." (2.03)

There are many English translations and sadly, many translations into Indian languages that are retranslations of English. The actual Sanskrit word translated as "coward" above is "Kliba". The meaning of Kliba is very clear from multiple Sanskrit sources. It means any man who would make an unsuitable husband for a woman because he is impotent with women for physical or psychological reasons. It is also clear from Sanskrit texts that list the many types of men who are Kliba, that it includes gay men.

English translators of ancient Hindu (and Buddhist) texts often deliberately translated words that seemed vulgar to their Victorian English audiences inaccurately (or just left the sections out of the translation completely). The most precise translation they could come up with for Kliba and therefor the one that has most often stuck even into modern times is "eunuch", although the practice of castrating boys to make sterile men (eunuchs) was unknown in ancient India, though it was later introduced from the Muslim world.

For scholars who know the accurate meaning of "Kliba", the very famous verse from the Bhagavad Gita that I quoted above has been taken to be a condemnation of Homosexuality in (arguably) Hinduism's most important scripture.

However, this is only because people read the Bhagavad Gita outside of its Mahabharata context. People who know the full story known that just before the start of the war, Arjuna and his brothers spent twelve years in exile and then the thirteenth year in disguise. Arjuna spent his thirteenth year disguised as a woman Brihannala, but due to a curse from the Apsara Urvashi, he was not only disguised as a woman, he was changed into a woman to the extent that when the women of the king's harem "inspected" "him" (presumably looked at his genitals), he passed as a woman.

It is clear from the context that Krishna's words to Arjuna at the start of the war were not a criticism of Kliba people. In the context of the Mahabharata, it should be:

"Do not hesitate Arjuna, otherwise people will think that you are still a transexual woman, (i.e. Brihannala)".

There is a very interesting book called:

Tritiya-Prakriti: People of the Third Sex: Understanding Homosexuality,Transgender Identity, and Intersex Conditions Through Hinduism by Amara Das Wilhelm

I have to admit that I have only read about the first half. It does drag on a bit but it contains a huge quantity of well researched information about Homosexuality and Hinduism historically.

PS, I have uploaded the epub of that book to this site if you are interested.

I'm not surprised that the usual Right Wing Nut Jobs on this forum are freaking out over this and failing to comprehend it. It is a symptom of the Right Wing conservative mentality that their opinions about another person's experiences carry more weight than what that person is actually experiencing.

Normal person: "This wine tastes very nice".

Right Wing Nut Job: "I have not tasted it, but no, you are wrong. I think it tastes like shit!"

The thing that is really worthy of a full scale doctoral thesis in clinical psychiatry is that people who are presumably gay (since this is a web site serving gay media torrents), think in this way.

When another RWNJ tells them "You chose to be gay!", do they say "Yes, you must be right! Your opinion overrides my experience of my own life! Thank you for setting me straight! I will choose to be straight from now on!"?

Strange that not only did Grammarly not detect that you spelt "Grammarly" wrongly as "Gramarly" twice, it also didn't detect the error in your grammar in "Gramarly didn't notice that I spelled "secretary" wrong". Perhaps you should ask Angela Rayner for some advice.

    • RE: Talk about insanity… read this gem from London's mayor Sadiq Khan

      PS:

My apologies for my mistake about Labour vs. Labor in relation to the UK Labour Party. I did a few years school in England, not to mention that I grew up, and did most of my schooling in India where they also prefer British English, so I am well aware of the differences between British and American Spellings. I am living in Australia now, and although they generally also use British spellings, the Australian Labor Party is spelt "Labor",  even though they spell it "Labour" in other contexts, hence my confusion and error. The New Zealand Labour Party still spells it "Labour" as in the UK. I have no idea why Australia has this exception.

By the way, I have heard an argument against the Labour Movement quit similar to this before:

"They don't call it the "Labour" party for nothing.  The Labour party would have the entire population working like slaves to the government.. like Communism." : Frederick

But it was from a boy who was about twelve.

    • RE: Impeachment for Trump, Yea or Nay?

It is without doubt that the Russian government deliberately acted to influence the 2016 US Presidential election and primaries, firstly against Clinton favouring Sanders and secondly against Clinton favouring Trump.

It is without doubt that in the second case (Clinton vs. Trump), there influence materially effected the result. That is, they got Trump elected.

It is without doubt that the Trump campaign and Trump himself colluded with Russians to bring about that result.

However, Trump will never be impeached. Trump is fully aware that he is guilty of crimes against the state and high treason. He will make every effort to shut down the investigation. That is the reason behind his recent firing of the Secretary of State and attempted instalments to the CIA. However, when he has no more plays left to try to prevent the inevitable, he will simply resign.

It is always funny when the Brexiteers and the Trumptard cheer squad in the USA complain about immigrants from South Asia, Africa, The West Indies etc.. Perhaps they should have thought about that when the the British colonised those countries.

It is the same as the freaky looking far right dickhead and Trump fan Gert Wilders in The Netherlands who lost the election there a few months back. He screams his ugly fanny off about Muslim immigrants in Holland calling it an "Invasion". Perhaps the Dutch shouldn't have invaded Indonesia.
