That depends on, if you look at the Western countries only, or you compare the number with very unstabile countries. The US is high compared to fx the EU or Australia.
I wonder, why the Americans can accept Americans killing Americans, when the gun lobby says that it is not the guns, it is the people, but the rest of the Western countries do not have that many killing people as the US.
In most areas we have the rule, that if there is a problem, we fix it. When it comes to mass shotings, the right do not want to fix the problem.
