      Can the media hype up Jim Comey a little more? …

      "The Russia maelstrom raging around Donald Trump's presidency reaches a momentous plot twist this week with a quintessential Washington drama set to unfold when ex-FBI Director James Comey testifies before the Senate."

      It sounds like a movie trailer. Read it out loud in the "epic movie guy voice."

      Oh and, did anybody notice that Trump used twitter? Okay, well the media did.

      There's so much more, I just didn't feel like spending an hour cut and pasting it all.

      Media hysteria?

      Just a little …

      I wonder how long they will drag this crap out.
      The most bizarre thing is.. Trump isn't even being accused of doing anything illegal!

      Benghazi probe is Congress' longest investigation ever

      The Select Committee on Benghazi came into existence in May 2014, charged with investigating the 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in the Libyan city that left four Americans dead. Costing $4.5 million so far, with no final report in sight, critics see the committee as a waste of taxpayer dollars and a partisan witch hunt aimed at Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Clinton is slated to testify before the committee later in October.

      In recent days, the claim that this is the longest-running investigation ever has gone somewhat viral. We saw it in The Hill, Salon, The New York Times, Esquire, MSNBC, ABC News and, notably, a Twitter account belonging to Clinton’s campaign.

      BZZZT.. the investigation into Bill Clinton by Ken Starr lasted 7 years.

      Threads like this prove what losers leftists are.

      They can't refute anything being said, but they are damned sure they are going to down vote everything that isn't part of their bullshit narrative.

      You know that feminism is cancer when freaks like Chanty Binx are more for gender equality than mainstream feminists like NOW.

      @jacobslokum:

      So are we going to be playing ping-pong in 4 or 8 years to get rid of whatever trash program the GOP pushes through? It's almost worth it for the schaudenfreude of watching the racist hicks who opposed ObamaCare just because it was proposed by Obama realize how screwed they are… almost.

      The problem is marketing.  There are too many different names.  At the top level you have ObamaCare and ACA which are the same thing.  Then you have Medicaid which most states have a different name for it.  Then you have the exchange plans also called Qualified Health Plans (or QHP) which states with exchanges often have a different name for using some variation of the word "connect".

      Then in addition to all of that there is Medicare, Chip. Medicare Advantage, Part A, Part B, Part D, and thousands of different names for health plans.  There are also many many smaller government health programs that I won't even mention with different names. I can totally understand why people are so confused.

      I never really had a problem with the ban.  My biggest issue was the way it was done.  It was just thrown together hastily and TSA was suddenly expected to comply on a moments notice.

      I have to agree with you, the first executive order was poorly executed.

      @SemenDemon:

      It's difficult for me to understand why I should even trust the validity of this story without further details. Sad that it's come to that, but people on the far Left have cried wolf too many times in recent months, so they have no one but themselves to blame for all the skepticism and mistrust that comes their way.

      Whether or not this story ends up being true (meaning an actual hate crime occurred, not a con job intended to create controversy), you have to be either a major chump or simply desperate to have your partisan biases confirmed to believe stories this brief and void of information outright. Perhaps when the publishers of the article update it with some hard evidence–at least a CCTV still of the incident--I might start to actually give a fuck, instead of having to wonder if it was someone associated with the group trying to foment hysteria and outrage.

      Were not in the politics section and I would consider what you are suggesting to be a conspiracy theory. If somebody was trying create controversy, they didn't do a very good job as the only media outlet that ran the story was NJ.com and I found it on Reddit.

      @rawr:

      Sorry. Just being honest. You can't lie under oath.

      This story is blowing up right now so I'll just link the original article.

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/sessions-spoke-twice-with-russian-ambassador-during-trumps-presidential-campaign-justice-officials-say/2017/03/01/77205eda-feac-11e6-99b4-9e613afeb09f_story.html

      The context doesn't matter. If you lie under oath to congress, you should go to jail. That's also the law… That's where you go when you do that... I wonder where he will end up? This will be interesting to see how corrupt the US government has become...

      I'm not wild about Sessions nor Goruch, however, ever since Bill Clinton emphatically lied under oath, it is virtually impossible to prosecute any high ranking public official with perjury.  The conclusion of Watergate is that nobody, not even the president is above the law.  The conclusion of Bill Clinton's presidency is that the president (and other high ranking public officials such as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) ARE above the law.  Cest la vie!

      Obama isn't your average liberal.  He's not one of the people with his face covered setting fire to a building while people are in to prevent "wrong speak".

      You still haven't explained why liberals love illegals, while ridiculing those who went the legal route.  We've seen that here.

      Yes, it is a real gun club. My partner isn't in that club but he is a member of another gun club with different races. He knows a few members in the national African-American gun club mentioned in that article. The Second Amendment is very, very important to a lot of us. We have the right to defend ourselves, especially those of us living in the South. Our Second Amendment right is one of the few things keeping many, many dark historical wrongs from coming back to haunt us today.

      @rawr:

      They're never going to … Trump completely broke the political system in the US. Granted, it was broken before, but now it's just going to seesaw every election cycle. I firmly believe that there's going to be a very bad day ahead for conservatives in 2018. I hate to say this, but if the democrats ever gain control of the house and senate, they're going to employ every tactic the republicans used and it's going to be a decade before it gets sorted out. Trump is very bad for the future political situation in this country... If he can't turn his presidency around, then he might as well give the government to the democrats. The voter suppression tactics will not work twice. The democrats thought they had the election won easily, (I thought they did too), but they're seriously pissed off now... And nothing Donald is doing is helping...

      Not sure what you mean as far as Trump breaking the political system. He's the first one in a long time that's brought any change to politics. He's the first non-military guy to become president that wasn't a career politician before winning the White House. In that manner, you're correct, Trump has completely broken the political system…and deservedly so. He's a breath of fresh air to a system that had become far too set in its ways.

      Trump's got the Beltway crowd going nuts with every one of his tweets, and he's got the media twisting and spinning every syllable that comes out his mouth. I'm loving everything he's doing so far. He distracts the media and his political enemies with a few bad words on twitter, and while they're busy chasing their tails with Nordstrom's and Russians, he's signing executive orders that are freezing federal hiring and cracking down on illegals. He's playing them like a master.

      As for the Democrats employing tactics...what tactics are the Republicans using? The Republicans have been putting up with the Democrat's obstruction in the senate with regards to cabinet confirmations. They haven't eliminated the filibuster rule to ram the confirmations through with 51 votes. We'll see what kind of tactics they use with Gorsuch during his hearings.

      The way things look right now, 2018 will only solidify the Republicans control because there are so many Democrat senate seats up for reelection that year, with a few in states that Trump carried in November. The voter suppression won't work again?? What does that even mean? The Democrats love to crow that Hillary won the popular vote, so what votes were suppressed?

      To top it all off, Trump hit it out of the park tonight with his speech, so that should have the media cranking up production of hit pieces for the rest of the week. Should be fun   🙂

      kaworun83, you are 100% correct.  So called President Trump has made people believe it's ok to say whatever they want and behave in any way they want.  America is quickly going to devolve into a third world nation.

      Well, I am pretty sure that with Killary Klingon world would quickly develop into WWIII.

      We live in reality, not an alternative world. SHE DID NOT WIN. HE DID. He is the president which means he's going to be held accountable. Using the Hillary would be worse excuse is tired, lame and kills any argument on the spot. There is no Hillary anymore, she is a private citizen with absolutely no power; therefore, any reference to what "would have, could have," is alternative reality and weakens arguments when mentioned.

      Very true, but you have to understand the Democrat party is throwing a childish tantrum over illegal being deported because that is THEIR VOTER BASE. Democrats will frame this as a heartfelt emotional plea, and pull heart strings, but all Democrats are really upset about is their voters being deported.

      Illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote. You're parroting an alt-right lie.

      Edit: I can see why people on this forum think I'm a liberal. No sorry, facts are facts. Some of you guys just believe things without putting any effort into evaluating their truthfulness. These were lies told by Trump and the alt right to rile people up and get them motivated to vote.

      Which obviously worked, but at some point, you need to come back to reality.

      Are we talking about the same media that kept pushing the lie of "hands up don't shoot"? Which was complete FAKE NEWS which led to rioting and burning down millions of dollars worth of property and people getting hurt? Yeah, the media is the enemy. The media wants to divide Americans because it gives them good ratings.

      You're neglecting to mention that your statement is only true if you reorder the events. The media was reporting the information they had, which was indeed, inaccurate. Nobody knew that the shooting was justified until after the Justice Department intervened. You're making it sound like over a hundred media outlets conspired to fabricate a story because of "good ratings." It wasn't the media that lied and there are plenty of stories in the media admitting that the information they had was inconsistent with reality.

      _"He shot again, and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air, and he started to get down," Johnson said. "But the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots."

      "We wasn't causing harm to nobody," Johnson told the television station. "We had no weapons on us at all."_

      @koliko6:

      Is Mexico that horrible that he would rather kill himself than go back? If he wanted to come to America so bad, he should have followed the law and immigrated LEGALLY like I did. But, you can't expect democrats to follow the laws.

      Err…is not horrible per se (otherwise, all mexicans would be crossing the border), it's just that there's so much corruption, insecurity and a true lack of opportunities for social mobility.

      Most illegals belong to the lower class echelons in Mexico so they don't even have a high level of education, a great number are farmhands that search for work since agriculture here is pretty death (News Flash: Even though Mexico's diet is based on corn, the country fails to produce the amount it needs, it imports the rest from the US)  if they can't find a job in the fields they can make a living with little jobs or other.  For example, a waiter in USA, can eke out a decent living, while that is impossible in Mexico.

      And there's also a disdain towards returned migrants.  For some mexicans, those who migrated to USA have become 'gringos' and behave snobby and uptight towards those who remained in the country. (Some do actually, but that doesn't mean all mexicans living in the USA act like that)
