Loved this series. It was refreshing to see a series with characters that appear to be regular young people.
In most recent series about teens and young adults, almost every character is suffering from problems such as addiction, family issues, mental disorders, etc. Although it is important to raise awareness about these issues, this is not the experience of teen growing up.
The "in Chicago" part might have been a misstatement, but Joy "I was hacked" Reid, The Root, Slate and Salon said he killed 3 black men, so we know where you got that part.

In this clip, he uses the "F" gay slur with gusto and assurance, because the crowd knows he is playing against those tropes, and that he's a friend to the end.
