Actually, Canadians support the death penalty at the same rate (1% less) as Americans.  Just shy of 2/3rd of Americans and Canadians (65% and 64% respectively) support the the death penalty.

True… in theory we could bring back the death sentence in Canada through Parliament... in theory.
