You need to get out more, the EC hasn't existed for years and years.
The 1.70.xxx to 1.71.xxx version didn't properly do a hash check while downloading. This caused people's ratios to falsely go up, because it only correctly hash checked the uploads. In other words, free or nearly free downloads.
There are rumors that 1.72.xxx sends data to the MPAA, but to date no one has proved anything.
Here's an article by TorrentFreak that says they can't reproduce the results;

Encryption doesn't help with this issue, but it helps in most cases.
Most likely you are using up too much RAM {memory} with other programs.
Try turning off as many programs as possible and then see if it works.
To be honest, I have no idea.
I'm not that computer literate.
We do have a "whitelist" for those members that absolutely need to use a proxy.
That sucks.
Have you tried the bypass mentioned in the article?

YES, I want realism. Not every gay man is miserable or end up dead like most of the gay movies.
Going by the theme movies out there, 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of us are either murdered, commit suicide or are forever alone.
I'll have to watch Latter Days again, because I don't remember any happy ending just the Mormon guy committing suicide.
Of course then there's just pure trash like Butch Camp.
Porn is porn. I don't watch porn for the story line because the term "porn actor" is an oxymoron. I especially hate when they keep looking at the camera during sex, like they don't know how to fuck without instructions.
The issue of theme movies is a mixed bag.
I must say this now, without a doubt, the greatest theme movie ever is Beautiful Thing.
I hate how so many of the theme movies end in horrible ways, ie Brokeback Mountain or Latter Days. Why do so many end with one of the main characters being murdered or committing suicide?!
Third Man Out {part of the gay detective series} is good because the main characters are gay, but they are more than just a couple of fags on love romp. They are shown to be helping society as a whole, not just a few fags looking for their next bit of cock.
yngmstr is referring to it not having a gay theme or at the very least, any gay characters.
Strictly speaking, it shouldn't be here because of that.
I love the series.
Personally, I prefer if the videos are over 1 GB. Many of the smaller videos suffer from motion distortion.
Of course motion distortion isn't always due to file size. Many times it's because the person that encoded the video played with their computer while the encoding was going on.
a bit of trivia
American football is based on trench warfare; ie World War 1
All guides are more than welcome.
I'm not sure why ISOs are frowned upon. I'll have to ask Tom about that.
So better to just create and seed an .iso?
GBJ
Actually, ISOs are frowned upon here.
VOB files are the way to go.
'Family Values' Pastor Charged With Indecent Exposure
by The Associated Press

(Johnson City, Tennessee) The minister of a Baptist church has been charged with indecent exposure and driving under the influence, and police officers say he propositioned them.
Tommy Tester, 58, of Bristol, Va., was wearing a skirt when he was arrested last week after allegedly urinating in front of children at a car wash, police said.
Police also said Tester offered to perform oral sex on officers who were sent to the scene.
Authorities identified Tester as the minister of Gospel Baptist Church in Bristol and an employee of Christian radio station WZAP-AM in Bristol.
There was no immediate response Tuesday to calls to the church and Tester's home.
WZAP issued a statement Monday asking for prayers and saying Tester had been suspended during an investigation.
"We pray this matter can be quickly resolved," WZAP owner Al Morris said in the statement.
Tester was released on $1,000 bail. A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 25.

Judge Reunites Gay Couple Barred From Seeing Each Other After Release From Prison
by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) A federal judge issued an opinion Wednesday allowing a long-term gay couple to resume contact with each other while completing the period of supervision imposed on them as part of a drug sentence.
The ACLU, which represented the couple, called it a historic decision recognizing that same-sex couples are equally protected by the Constitution and must be treated the same as other families.
"I'm elated," said Daniel Mangini, 42, of Montgomery County, who learned the news earlier today and promptly passed on the news to his partner Steven Roberts. Until that moment, Mangini had been barred from speaking with Roberts for more than a year. "This opens possibilities. Finally we get to resume our lives together and dream for the future."
Mangini and Roberts have been in a committed relationship for more than 20 years. They built a home together and took in Robert's niece and raised her to adulthood after the niece was removed from her home by the Department of Human Services.
But the couple became addicted to methamphetamine and ultimately resorted to selling the drug to support their addiction. In December 2003, they were arrested. They later pled guilty to possession with the intent to sell. Each received a sentence of imprisonment to be followed by five
years of supervised release.
While it is customary for the U. S. Probation Office to bar people on supervision from associating with other felons while on supervised release, it ordinarily makes exceptions for close family members. After their release, Mangini and Roberts explained to their probation officer that they were in a long-term committed relationship, but they were informed that same-sex relationships were not treated as family and that they would have to stay away from each other.
The ACLU appealed the decision. Judge Marvin Katz, who issued Wednesday's order, initially sided with the probation department. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit reversed that decision and remanded the case back to Judge Katz for additional proceedings. At a hearing before Judge Katz on July 31, the couple testified about their commitment to one another, their recovery from addiction and what it meant to live their lives apart.
After acknowledging the long-term commitment that the couple has made to each other and noting the great strides both have made in their recovery, Judge Katz ruled today that the couple can no longer be barred from having contact with each other. Relying on the U.S. Supreme Court's 2003 decision in Lawrence v. Texas, Judge Katz ruled that same-sex couples have the same right to form intimate relationships as opposite sex couples and that it is unconstitutional to treat same-sex couples differently.
"This is truly a great day for our clients who have been barred from having any contact with each other for more than a year," said Mary Catherine Roper, a staff attorney with the ACLU of Pennsylvania. "By honoring their commitment to each other and fighting to be together, Dan and Steven have helped to bring about ground-breaking law requiring equal treatment for same-sex couples."
The U. S. Probation Office is appealing the ruling.

Judge Nominee Runs Into Senate Confirmation Trouble
by The Associated Press
Posted: August 1, 2007 - 5:00 pm ET
(Washington) Senate Democrats stymied an effort by Republicans on Wednesday to force a floor vote on a controversial Mississippi judge in a new fight in the well-trod arena of judicial confirmations.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he would move to table, or kill, a symbolic resolution calling for a vote of the full Senate on the appeals court nomination of retired Judge Leslie Southwick of Mississippi. But Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy put Southwick's nomination back before his panel when it meets Thursday.
President Bush nominated Southwick to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, which serves Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
Democrats have concerns about Southwick's writing in several cases.
One such case was a 1998 decision over an employee who had been fired for using a racial slur. Southwick voted with the majority in the 5-4 decision, writing that the slur "was not motivated out of racial hatred or animosity directed toward her co-worker or toward blacks in general."
In 2001, Southwick joined a ruling that upheld a lower court decision to take an eight-year-old girl away from her mother and award custody to the father, who had never married the mother, largely because the mother was living with another woman in a ?lesbian home.? (story)
Southwick's concurrence extolled Mississippi?s right under ?the principles of Federalism? to treat ?homosexual persons? as second-class citizens. The concurrence suggested that sexual orientation is a choice and suggest that mother might have held onto her child had she made a different "choice".
Republicans say Southwick's writings do not indicate that he is unfit for office and note that the American Bar Association has rated him unanimously well qualified.
Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., introduced a sense of the Senate resolution - which has no force of law - saying that Southwick should be granted a vote by the full body rather than in the highly partisan Judiciary Committee.
Southwick's nomination is the focal point for a broader fight over confirming Bush's judicial nominees that stretches back to 2005, when a group of 14 senators mediated a filibuster fight over the president's picks.

Murder Trial Begins For Teen Who Alleges He Was Target Of Homophobic Bullying
by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

(Cazenovia, Wisconsin) The first degree murder trial began Thursday for a 16-year old who killed his principal last year for allegedly failing to stop the teen from being bullied.
Principal John Klang, 49, was shot in the head, leg, and torso and later died in hospital. Eric Hainstock is charged as an adult. If convicted the teenager could face life in prison.
Police said that Hainstock armed himself with a handgun and rifle owned by his parents and headed off to Weston High School. A janitor and teacher saw Hainstock with the shotgun as he entered the school before classes
Investigators said that Hainstock pointed the gun at the teacher, but the custodian took it away.
When Hainstock reached for the handgun the janitor and teacher took cover.
Klang then confronted the teen and tried to talk him into putting down the gun. When Hainstock refused Klang attempted to wrestle the gun from the youth's hand and the two ended up on the floor. At that point Hainstock allegedly shot the principal three times.
According to court papers filed last year by the prosecutor in Sauk County Circuit Court Hainstock told police after he was taken into custody that students regularly bullied him - calling him "fag" and "faggot" and rubbed up against him.
The documents said that the teenager told police he was so frustrated that Klang and teachers would do nothing to stop the harassment he decided to arm himself.
The day before the shooting Hainstock received a written discipline from Klang for having brought tobacco to school.
The 15-year old was enrolled in a special class at the school for emotionally and behaviorally disturbed students. Teachers say that he excelled in art and last year had been selected to participate in a districtwide art contest.
But they also allege that he had made threats to his teachers more than once this year.
Sauk County District Attorney Pat Barrett has said Hainstock is a selfish liar who reacts violently whenever adults tell him what to do.
Hainstock's attorneys, public defenders Rhoda Ricciardi and Jon Helland, have said Hainstock was bullied and that teachers looked the other way.
It is not known if the teen identified as being gay. Experts in bullying say the sexuality of a bullying victim is not important - pointing to studies showing the wide impact homophobic bullying has on students.
One study, released in April to coincide with the National Day of Silence, showed that three-quarters of students surveyed across America said that over the past year they heard derogatory remarks such as "faggot" or "dyke" frequently or often at school, and nearly nine out of ten reported hearing "that's so gay" or "you're so gay" - meaning stupid or worthless - frequently or often. (story)
Over a third of students said they experienced physical harassment at school on the basis of sexual orientation and more than a quarter on the basis of their gender expression.
Nearly one-in-five students reported they had been physically assaulted because of their sexual orientation and over a tenth because of their gender expression.
