    • RE: Supreme Court to hear from thousands on gay marriage

Over 3,000 major republican "names" have signed up to the equality side in this lawsuit.  Many businesses have also sent in "friend of court" briefs siding with equality.

Obama (as the President and as a private citizen), Eric Holder (as US Attorney General and as a private citizen) and many other top government officials have sent in "friend of the court" briefs siding with equality.

Dan Savage said that Carson could prove it by sucking his (Dan's) dick.

Even ultra right wing nutter, Glen Beck, said that this stance is probably the end of Carson's Presidential bid.

I've read a lot about this case and the "I was duped" excuse is a lie.  At least that's how it seems to me.

Either way, I do agree with this article that he will only get a slap on the wrist from the US military and won't face trial in the Philippines.  The US and Philippines have had an extremely rocky relationship over the decades.  Neither side really give out "normal" punishments for doing illegal things to the other side's people.

      @2222:

I've seen the uncensored video. Its horrible.
      :blownose:

I haven't seen the videos, but I have seen the photo sets which only chose the least graphic pictures but still told the story.

      It's quite horrific.

    • RE: Do other guys also have stretch marks?

Stretch marks around the upper thigh/ass area is extremely common among men.  It's part of the way our bodies grow as we get into our late teens/early twenties.

Stretchmarks are also common if you gain a lot of weight fast, whether through exercize or lack there of.

    • RE: Why am I not losing weight?

If you are just looking at the weight scale, then you need to remember that muscle weighs more than fat.   I've seen many people freak out because they actually started to gain weight, rather than lose it.

Ignore the weight scales and judge it by how you feel and look.    I gained 3 pounds, but lost 4 inches off my waist. Of course that was when I was younger.

As a previous poster said, I don't judge anyone for doing it, but I wouldn't/couldn't.

      @nhalizegt:

You know what cannon mc,when i see a joke i like, i save it and post it when i get a chance. Not everyone in here is sad like you and constantly have their hands on their dick, if my jokes make even one person smile or brings cheer to a bad day i'm very happy with with myself, You are more than welcome to report me but the way i see it if Jokes & Funny Stuff weren't welcome in this forum why is there even a category? At this time i will like to invite you to join the long line of people waiting to kiss my beautiful Brazilian ass.

:police:  That last bit is crossing the line a bit.  :police:

Instead of flooding the forums all at once with countless jokes, try posting small amounts more often.  That way everyone wins.

10 pages of a single member's posts screams "problems".    As was already stated, it makes it hard to follow/find topics that you (generic) want to keep.

The traditional rule is that jokes of 1 category (ie: "a priest walks into a bar…....") can be posted together in a single post/thread.  But unrelated jokes get separate posts.

    • RE: Germany forced to bail out bankrupt countries like Spain and Greece

It is pretty unfair to include the entire population of one country to the few powerful and rich divas who doesn't pay their taxes.
I am paying my taxes, my parents did, my best friends and their relatives paid their share. Hell, my mother was paying her taxes and now she doesn't even have insurance. Yes, we do have high taxes also so you can enjoy the fact that you do not have the exclusivity.
It is also pretty unfair to consider all these people guilty. If we are talking about true justice then all the goverments of all the countries of the world should target those few selected ''sinners''.
We didn't resent any help. We resented the extremely heavy and unfair price that came along with it.

It's not just the rich in Greece that aren't paying ALL of the taxes they are supposed to.

A big part of the agreement to extend the bailout was that your (Greece's) new government would do more to stamp out the grey (black market) economies.

    • RE: Germany forced to bail out bankrupt countries like Spain and Greece

I am not comparing paper routes to working in factories.

I simply said I started working at 7yo doing a paper route.  I didn't even mention my other job of cutting peoples' grass.  Yeah, I eventually went on to work in factories and other jobs while in school.

So there is still no justification for the Southern European countries to retire so much earlier than the rest of the west.

Also, who created the debt problems in the SE countries?!  YEP, it was the people that participated in and benefitted from the grey economies.  If you guys lived realistically and paid your taxes, like the rest of the west, then your countries wouldn't be hurting so much.

Everywhere in the world, corporations are avoiding paying taxes, but only the countries with massive grey economies are failing.

If the people of Greece (and others) paid their taxes and didn't abuse the system, I wouldn't have to pay higher taxes to bail them out.  I agree with a previous poster.  We should just let all the failing countries go under, since they resent our help anyway.

    • RE: Oklahoma House advances bill for ministers to refuse same-sex marriage

Religion and business are 2 completely separate things, at least to me, but not to the US Supreme Court.

I can accept religious "businesses" (ie churches) being allowed to refuse people that violate their faith.  HOWEVER, as far as I'm concerned and despite the Supreme Court ruling, businesses should not be allowed to discriminate.

As I pointed out in my previous comment, only gay people are legally allowed to be discriminated against.

You aren't allowed to discriminate against an interracial married couple, even though the bible and many other holy texts say you can't marry outside your own.  The bible was used to justify slavery, and still is in many places, based on the "blackness" being the mark of Cain.

That's the problem, every other group is protected except for LGBTs.

    • RE: Cross-Generation Sexual Relationships

      @lawyer72us:

When I met my husband I was 28 and he was 51. Despite the age difference we share similar tastes, likes and dislikes…

We are more than ten years together.

      That's the thing.

It seems that the age gap makes people have different views/opinions because of the era they grew up in.

In the UK, you can't shut up anyone over say, 60 with the "when I was in the war" crap.  It doesn't make me hard, except for my fists ready to punch them in the head.

Why don't they allow everyone to discriminate as they please, against anyone they want?!

That's the bigotry of this, as it only applies to gay people being discriminated against.

    • RE: Outlawing all religions (the sooner the better)

I hope you realise that judaism and christianity preach/promote hate against us as well.  I'd go as far to say that I don't know of any religion that doesn't hate us.

I don't see beth dins (jewish courts) being any better/different than sharia courts, when in modern country.  Both are extremely sexist, though they both strongly disagree with that.  They are both very limited in what they can and can't do.

The UK has had beth dins since King James, of bible fame.  Under the guise of equality a few years ago, the UK had a choice, get rid of beth dins or allow sharia courts as well.  Since the beth dins have been here so long, they decided that they had no choice but to allow both.

    • RE: Is the internet killing religion?

They don't believe, and nor do they disbelieve. You should learn what being an atheist actually means, this discussion might actually be productive.

      That's getting a bit snotty.

      Atheists don't believe in god{s}.

Babies don't believe in god{s}, until someone fills their heads with lies.

So you count a guy with a very unconventional religious beliefs, who in semi-private despised Christianity, try to invoke the 'no troo Scotsman' fallacy, (and indeed no Christian has ever killed in harmony with the teachings of Christ. As you and many others have pointed out, killing is not against atheism. Atheism's only tenet is of unbelief in God(s). Therefore, mass murder cannot be against the tenets of atheism) yet try to pretend away the mass butchery by atheists, in order to promote atheism? And its not only the 20th century. Perhaps you might like to learn about the French Revolution as well. You may as well say black is white. Perhaps you have a 'no God' delusion

OK, so you played the "no true Scotsman" fallacy.  Good for you.

You confuse murder IN THE NAME OF vs MURDER BY.

See, you are being a hypocrite here.  If an atheist does something wrong, you blame atheism.  If a believer does something wrong, you blame the individual or whatever else you can find to keep it from being viewed in anyway related to religion.

Maybe you should read your bible for once.  There's some pretty nasty stuff in there, unless you think god sending a bear to kill a bunch of kids for laughing at a man for being bald.  I guess you like slavery too, since that's a good thing in the bible.  What about joyfully throwing babies down the rocks below?    What about slaughtering entire villages, except the virgin girls who are then used as sex slaves?    Yeah, this is where you try to throw in massive amounts of apologetics to justify and distance yourself from what the bible says.

    • RE: Sodom & Gomorrah - What the bible really says

Enforced celibacy is less than 1,000 years old in the RCC.  From memory, it started in the early 13th century for priests and about 200 years later everyone had to be celibate.

    • RE: Is the internet killing religion?

Ok, if babies aren't born atheist (not believing in god{s}), then tell us exactly what god{s} they are born believing in.

I don't need a sky daddy to give me a reason not to slit my wrists.  Nor do I need the threat of hell to be a good person.  I pity anyone who does need those things.

BTW, believers always love to drag out communist dictators, but at the same time deny their own such as the half jewish catholic known as Adolf Hitler.  Why aren't his crimes counted in the religious column?  It seems like dishonesty to me.  The same goes for countless other believers who murdered millions upon millions. And please don't use the 'no true Scotsman" fallacy.

Also, no leader murdered in the name of atheism, unlike the countless ones who did it in the name of religion.
