One of the things that really piss me off about NASA is that they hide tech that could benefit humanity.

They should put everything, excluding the very few things that absolutely need secrecy, into the public domain.  They could patent the tech and sell/lease the rights to recoup the money.

Back on topic.

NASA never cared about maintaining stuff because since Kennedy, Presidents have been flooding them with cash.

The oil industry spends BILLIONS to maintain their old data.  I've been to warehouse complexes where they have binders with paper data stored.  There are warehouses that have the old reel to reel tapes being stored.    Even warehouses with normal hard drives being stored.

In the UK, it used to be that you got a new IP address every time you logged on to the internet.    You had to pay double or more to get a static one.

Now pretty much everyone has a static one, except when they are using hotspots and whatnot.

I switched my provider to one that provided free static IP addresses about 8 years ago.  About 4 years ago, static became the standard.  I don't know of any that offer dynamic still.

Now back to the point of this thread, can we come to an agreement that direct attempts at deflection and/or derailment should be an automatic admission of a failed argument? Can we also come to an agreement that mass spam posting about Harvard cancer study conspiracy theories or other things that have absolutely NOTHING to do with politics be moved to other sections? We should work toward some sort of mutual conclusion so that this civility thread can finally be closed.

I have seen videos of Trump speaking on recent events and I have not seen him say that there are good racists.    He said that there are good people on both sides; left vs right.

Please provide a link to him saying that racists are good.

Also, Hillary said that anyone who didn't vote for her was "deplorable".
