I prefered the interface as it was. What would be more ideal would be a control that allowed either the larger-type format (which is probably easier for people viewing on phones and tiny screens) or, alternatively, the smaller font (which is definitely easier for people using larger computer monitors).

RE: RATIO LIFT TORRENT
Ah, I see.
I've already noticed that a number of torrents (not marked "ratio lift" as yet) seem to remain free-leach for quite a long time.
Thank you for answering!

RE: RATIO LIFT TORRENT
I'm afraid I don't quite follow the distinction between a "ratio lift" and a "free leach" torrent.
Would you be so kind as to explain it again, in different words?

RE: Intense orgasm and a new jack off method
Yes, I think I probably learned to do this accidentally also, and find that it's especially effective when it's combined with deliberate, slow, teasing and "edging."
In other words, before pausing to allow ones penis to "deflate" completely, one should have managed to keep oneself extremely stiff, aroused, and "at the brink" for a good, long while, and then, instead of yielding to the urge to release, gently slow down, stop, and take a deliberate intermission, enjoy a snack, turn attention to something totally different for half-an-hour or an hour, and then resume the masturbatory teasing.
I've actually encouraged a phone-j/o buddy to do this, too, once, when we were enjoying a very pleasant and exciting fantasy together, and both trying to "make it last." At a point when we were both teetering on the brink, and restraining our lust with difficulty, I proposed that we simply stop for an hour, and then get back on the phone to work ourselves back up. It led to an extremely intense and delicious orgasm for both of us.
I think so many men are a little embarrassed about masturbating, and so, don't explore some of the ways that it can be enhanced and refined as a pleasure in its own right.
There really should be some orderly name for this sort of technique. I think it's actually a bit safer to practice what I'll call "intermissions" instead of "edging," because very prolonged, unrelieved erections (several hours) can actually do some damage to the tissues of the penis (a urologist warned me of this, once). I do remember, many years ago, prolonging an erection for many, many hours, and, later on, finding that parts of my penis were actually quite sore for a week afterward, not from chafing or rubbing, but probably from some damage to small blood vessels in side.
Taking "intermissions" in a long session, and allowing our penises to deflate, is probably a good way to enjoy the same protracted session without doing this sort of damage.

RE: SITE POLL –-- Intravenous Drug Use in Self-Published Porn Torrents
It seems a bit unnecessary to devise a "policy" regarding such a thing. I cannot imagine that it's really all that relevant to the sort of material we generally enjoy here, and it seems that such a prohibition would only serve to exclude a "themed movie" that happened, also, to contain depictions of injections.
I'm curious as to why this became an issue which the staff wanted to poll members about.

RE: Help with Japanese Porn genres and studios
三昧 (sanmai) is the Japanese transliteration of the Sanskrit word समाधि (Samādhi), which is a state of deep meditation. I believe that "fera-sanmai" ("fellatio-samādhi") would refer to that state of being entranced or utterly carried away by the pleasure of being sucked off, which is a frequent feature of much Japanese porn, both that involving females and males, or that involving just males.

RE: Can anyone identify the title this scene is from?
The Japanese title is 淫欲の変態人間便器, which reads "In'yoku-no-hentai ningen benki," and which I think I might translate as "Transformed by his lust into a human toilet."
It is sold (supposedly without pixelation-censorship) at this Web site, and seems to have been filmed late in 2009 or in 2010.

RE: The New Picture Browser - Feedback
Oh, good! I'll be sure to test it today, and see if I can confirm (as a naive user) that things are working more smoothly!
Thank you!

RE: The New Picture Browser - Feedback
I tried the new picture browser again today, and I see there have been some slight changes (since the last time I used it) that made it more comfortable; in particular, the pop-up of the title and description seems to work better now, and makes it much better for looking over what's new than it was when I first tried it.
I have a number of new comments.
(1) when people create a new torrent, it would be nice if you provided some mechanism whereby they can exercise more precise control over which of several images will be used to illustrate the torrent as a pop-up in new picture browser, and which will be used to illustrate the torrent on the older search page. At the moment, as far as I can make out, the first image to be uploaded to a new torrent announcement is the one used as a popup on the old search page, and the last image to be uploaded appears in the new picture-browse and on the page of the torrent itself (before you expand or leaf through the other images). I think you should allow the uploader to select his exemplary figures for these two purposes.
(2) I think that, as a result of this change, something about the "comments" popups on the old search page was damaged. I used to get a popup of user comments when I selected the comments link on the search page. Now, I get an hourglass and nothing happens. Very occasionally, if I then move my mouse cursor, I get the briefest view of a popup which should have appeared, which vanishes again before anything can be read. I imagine that this will behave differently in different browsers, but that's a sign that something isn't as it should be. Something got broken along the way, here.
(3) I still think you should add a control to the main page of a torrent that allows that torrent to be added to the "wish list"–this feature is only available at the moment on the old search page, and so users who prefer to use the new picture-browser have no way to mark a torrent for their wish list except to go back to the old search and choose the wish-list control there.

RE: The New Picture Browser - Feedback
What was it that motivated the work to create this "browse-by-image" interface?
I mean, what was it intended to do that the Search interface wasn't doing?
I'm still unable to think of a situation where it might be a more helpful way of reviewing what's presently offered, what's new, etc.

RE: The New Picture Browser - Feedback
I'm also sorry to report that, probably as part of the recent change, there has been a change to the "pop-up comments" in the "old" Search page which has broken it in my browser.
The comments often do not pop up at all, and when they do, they vanish again quickly, sometimes, before one has a chance to read them.
It was flaky, but working, heretofore. I notice also that the font and display of these comments has changed to one which is a little harder to read.
Incidentally, I said in my last feedback comment that perhaps the picture-browser would be useful to identify a particular face from a studio, but I see now that there's no option to filter the pictures by a keyword–one can only filter by the broad fixed categories (assuming that works).
I wish I had something more complimentary to say, but it really looks to me that this was more an exercise or etude for someone seeing if he could make an interface than an effort to make a gaytorrent.ru visitor's experience, looking for entertainment, any better. As an exercise or school assignment, I think it's deserving of praise, but I really don't think it's useful or helpful or even comfortable enough to use from time to time for a change of pace.

RE: The New Picture Browser - Feedback
I'm terribly sorry to have to give what must have been a lot of work a "thumbs down," but I'm afraid I find the new "photo interface" clumsy, slow, a waste of bandwidth, and not terribly helpful.
I think part of the problem is that all of the images lose impact when they're all crowded in together in a mosaic: you cannot see the individual trees for the forest, as it were! It's very overwhelming to be blasted with that many images all at once.
I must also confess that I dislike interfaces that rely heavily on Adobe flash and javascript other such extenders of simple HTML form controls–I think they're terribly wasteful, when they aren't really necessary, and that they slow things down, interfere with interoperability and automatic search engines, and don't really deliver, in most cases, enough to justify the overhead at run-time (let alone development cost).
The "old" interface which is still available under Search was very satisfactory, and I'm not sure what motivated the change. The one suggestion for improvement which I made recently was to add a control in the individual torrent display to include a particular torrent in ones wish list–presently, that control is only available in the listing and is not there if one leaves the listing to inspect the full page of the torrent.
I will try to play with it a few more times. Mostly, I'm having difficulty trying to think of a situation in which such a picture display might be helpful. The only thing I can think of would be if one were, say, attempting to find one particular model by his face, when all one knows is a word from the title or the name of a studio: Perhaps one can use your new Browse to show pictures only matching what one did know, and then scan for the face of the model one is after.
I'm not sure what actually motivated all this work. Perhaps you can add a comment to this thread explaining what the goals of the project were, and then we can comment on whether we think those goals were met.

Unicode Recycling Symbols? ♺ = U+267A
I notice that some torrents now bear the character U+267A (which shows up as a default "box" character in my browser) as a kind of marker. At first, I thought this was a marker for "freeleech" torrents, but now I see torrents which are not freeleech, but bear the ♺ character, as well as torrents which are, indeed, "freeleech," but which lack the ♺ character.
I looked it up at the Unicode Consortium, and found that it's the generalized "recyclable material" symbol, so I imagine this means something like the file is an allowed duplicate by virtue of being an improvement or better encoding or arrangement or something . . . but maybe one of the administrators can explain what this signifies, as I'm probably not the only man who is puzzled by it.

RE: New Upload Guide Discussions
I have a suggestion for a small clarifiication to the Upload Guide (https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=18666.0).
This is something that confused ME at first. While I was in the process of trying to download a newly-uploaded torrent, another administrator wrote to me to warn me that I wasn't seeding.
I suddenly realized why I didn't see myself "seeding" a torrent, the first time I tried to upload: there's an additional step which I didn't see described in the Upload Guide, viz., that the administration of gaytorrent.ru first approves a torrent, before it goes "live." I think you should add a "step" in the Upload Guide that clarifies this, or else make it a clearer instruction if it's there but I didn't notice it; it was confusing me, as a naive, first-time uploader, when I didn't see myself as seeding the torrent, and got errors from the tracker about it being an unregistered torrent. This is probably why: and instead, I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
I hope my naiveté is of use to you in improving the guide. I think I followed it correctly otherwise.

RE: Lord Iron
I'm especially pleased to find these, today, because I recently lost a little collection of Lord Iron's extraordinary work in a hard-disk failure, and alas, had no backup of it. I've followed his work with enjoyment for many years, long before he began illustrating for Handjobs. Thank you for posting them.
May I ask if anybody can verify that the one called Lord_Iron38.jpg is indeed by the artist? I don't remember ever seeing it before, and both the subject matter and the style, while I see some similarity, seems rather exceptional to me. I suspect it's misidentified as by Lord Iron.

How to Search (to avoid duplicating)
I have a very naive question, namely, what is the best way for me to search the available torrents when I'm unsure of the studio, models, and other identifying matter of the files I wish to include?
For example, is there any way I can search available torrents on GAYtorrents.ru to check to see if a particular filename is already included in some uploaded torrent? Is there a way that I can take the SHA-1 hash of a file and check to see if it's already included somewhere?
I recognize the need to avoid duplicating other torrents, but cannot see a good way of verifying that I'm not contributing something new short of knowing the exact title and studio of a film, or the names of the models featured, and even then, it's rather difficult without going through a large list and inspecting screenshots.
Can anyone offer me some guidance for searching before I try to upload a torrent of my own?
