I prefer the Mac.  I do run Windows in vMware to support legacy financial application, but the mac's unix foundation is rock solid.    I have owned Windows workstations/laptops and multiple Mac models, and I would still choose the mac any day.  The machines are rock solid, hold their value, and last many years longer than their Windows based contemporaries following an OS upgrade.  A virus can happen to a mac but it is generally a harder nut to crack. True, the hardware can be a little expensive but you can also build your own Hackintosh if you know what you are doing.  I have both and I must admit that the hackintosh is a bit more fun.

I like to keep things trimmed but not close shaven.  I am hairy and prefer to keep my body hair intact.  Now that is not to say that I want Sherwood Forest growing below the belt, but I do not want to look like a plucked chicken either.

You seem to be pretty comfortable with your fetish.  Since you have cleared the comfort hurdle and your partner has already unwittingly participated in your fart fetish,  I would suggest that you bring up the subject casually and take it from there.  Satisfying a fart fetish can be a especially daunting.  Most folks are somewhat self conscious about farting period. This would explain your partner's embarrassment when he did it on your face.  Just a find a way to casually bring up the subject about what turns you on when the opportunity presents itself.  He probably will not think of your as weird, but he might/might not want to indulge in your fetish.
