I suggest the following.. and please respond and tell me if this worked or not.
Go to bittorrent dot com. Bittorrent looks and functions 100% identically as Utorrent, and is produced by the same company. In fact, Bittorrent came BEFORE Utorrent. Even though they are essentially the same, they are coded differently. I have both installed, not because I'm completely insane, but because Utorrent DOWNLOADS were being blocked somehow. Bittorrent DOWNLOADS are not. Both Utorrent & Bittorrent work fine for uploading / seeding for me. I have gone through every setting on Utorrent - and can't find the problem. In fact, I now have the settings for both programs identical - yet Utorrent still has the downloading problem for me. I know there is a company out there that I won't name that exists for one reason - to try and screw with Utorrent. That company is probably just one guy in his basement with a tiny penis who has nothing better to do than interfere with torrents.
If that doesn't work, I suggest you try a VPN service. I've found that the free one's are useless and slow as mud.

Two that I have tried that are not that expensive are NordVPN and EasyNews. EasyNews used to be just an NNTP / Usenet provider, but since people on Usenet should all use a VPN, they started offering that also. However, I recently tried using the EasyNews VPN to view a Youtube video that was blocked in my country of Los Estados Unidos and while EasyNews did give me an IP of various different countries, it didn't fool Youtube. Quite a few commercial applications have been uploaded recently. I can't speak for older software still in use, but the Windows Defender in Windows 10 is surprisingly effective at finding, blocking and removing malware. That's good, because my old favorite Avast! is now a pain in my ass which considers all downloads to be "junk" and likes to delete them.
As for viruses in apps. That is quite often true, but you have to know when it is really a virus and when it is a false alert. Anything that generates a key from your computer's hardware is accessing your hard drive serial number and creating a code based upon that. The same code that accesses your hard drive's serial number also triggers a malware alert. Any program that modifies a program and overrides the file protection of windows such as a patch also triggers a malware alert. Frankly, any executable software which is not submitted to Microsoft to get a "certificate" is going to trigger a malware alert.
Your advice is very good for most people, because most people can't tell the difference between what is a real threat and what is a false threat. The members of THIS site are typically very experienced computer geeks that know the difference.
In my long experience with computers, by far the four most annoying and persistent threats were rootkits, adware, pop ups, and ransomware. The current Windows Defender seems to block or remove all of them.
There is one sure-fire way to prevent all computer viruses and malware. Unplug your computer and lock yourself in a closet.
By the way, more dangerous than cracked commercial wares are FREEWARE. Especially anti-malware from obscure companies that are giving their "protection" away for free. The classic trick of these wares is to tell you that you have to disable OTHER anti-malware to install their fake "anti-malware" and then they have you by the short-hairs. I knew a programmer who used to install what looked like Norton Anti-Virus, but was actually a keylogger. Even the REAL Norton Anti-Virus is worse than most REAL viruses because of what a pain in the ass it is to remove, update, and what a hog it is of your computer's resources. Then there is McAfee Antivirus - whose creator murdered someone several years ago. John McAfee was wanted for murder in Belize - but fled Belize. Since then his house in Belize was burned down and all his assets were seized.

It sounds like your thumbnails were relevant. But sometimes pics are not relevant because the poster had images from a previous upload accidentally included with the new upload.
I sometimes bitch about videos I don't like to warn other people before they download them. For instance, there was some 6 gig videos posted recently which had super resolution, but the frame rate was so low that it was like watching a slide show. Then there are videos which include scat that are not in the scat category - which I don't think many people enjoy. Maybe it is different on your profile, but on mine, clicking on the down arrow and "All Files Including Dead" doesn't set a default. It reverts back to ACTIVE. I want to set it as my permanent default, like the categories of videos to filter

But often my uploads are removed, because it turns out my files WERE previously uploaded but in the DEAD section.

I've also noticed that DEAD files are often not so dead and they do download. Maybe they should be called DYING.
If a file is really DEAD, why not remove it entirely so someone else can re-upload it, resurrect it?

I got the latest NeoDownloader - full version. It's great! I've used "spiders" like this in the past, but this one is the "cleanest" I've seen. This will save me an unbelievable amount of work. This is a it difficult to explain because I don't know the technical words to describe the problem in English but I'll try my best.My laptop began to go crazy last night. Something causes my laptop to go from left to right at fast speed through every button or option on websites and windows and scroll down through them. For example, if I click on the address bar the laptop suddenly scrolls down through the dropdown bar at very fast speed.
As in the picture below, something causes that selecting and it scroll down all crazy.

I tested my keyboard on a website and I found that when I press the ctrl key on the right a few times, for some reason it activates the tab key and the mess starts. I removed the ctrl key to clean inside, but the problem persists. I also run anti-virus programs, but they haven't found anything.
I think the problem was caused when I tried to save a pic and changing its name by typing numbers on the row above the alphabet keys randomly without looking; I think I pressed on the wrong key, but I can't identity what key that was.
I hope someone can help me.

I suggest trying an external USB keyboard and disabling the laptop's keyboard. I bet there are a bazillion laptops which have been thrown away because of keyboards that no longer function properly. It used to be that it was fairly easy to replace a laptop keyboard, but the connections are now so small and so difficult to access that it's rarely possible anymore. Similarly with hard drives that malfunction or die - it used to be possible to repair them or at least extract the data from them. They don't malfunction as much as they used to, but when they do, you are screwed. Seagate bought out and manufacture most of the brands of hard drives now. If they can't retrieve your data, nobody can. The problem is they can't retrieve the data on new drives either. They offer to sell you a guarantee for something like $100 per year where if your hard drive needs data recovery, they will do it for free instead of charging you $2000 or more. What they don't tell you is that they can no longer recover data off any modern hard drive, so your insurance policy of $100 a year is worthless.

I used to use port forwarding back in the days of NNTP Usenet and when using my own computer as a server for a website I used to have.
I will try reactivating some brain cells and figure out port forwarding again and see how it affects torrents.
I use 2 different computers, both with the exact same version of utorrent, both with the exact same settings, but one of them will only upload seed files while the other I can both download and upload.
There is some other software blocking the downloads on my laptop.
The weird thing is, to get around this I installed bittorrent on my laptop which is able to download. Utorrent and bittorrent look and function 100% the same. The difference is in the coding. I think they have two teams of programmers. The only advantage of utorrent is that it has faster transfer rates. I don't know why.
What I do is use bittorrent to download files, and when the files complete, they are imported automatically into utorrent to seed them. That way I can shut down my uploads from my giant 8TB external drive without interrupting my downloads in progress with bittorrent.
I found out the hard way that the WIFI receivers built into the motherboards of desktops and laptops almost always suck.
Very often they support only the 2.4 gig WIFI and not 5.0 ghz
The solution I found was the ASUS AC53 USB which should be a maximum of $40. I got mine for $32, and I've seen them for $25. There are at least half a dozen similar USB dongles, but the others sometimes only work with USB 3.0 Some have annoying little antennas the size of a finger attached.
It's sad to buy a motherboard with integrated sound, video, and WIFI.. only to have to go buy a better sound card, better video card, and USB WIFI.
The biggest disaster I ever had was buying one of the most expensive laptops made at the time for $3000. But it only had standard USB ports. The next month, USB 2.0 came out! So I was stuck with a laptop with ultra slow USB and really no fix for that. I had to combine 2 ports into one just to get the USB working at a usable speed.
Then they started with USB 3.0 which is also a problem, because a lot of devices do not function with USB 3.0 even though they claim that the USB 3.0 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0. Quite often they are NOT compatible. To get around that, expensive motherboards have at least one USB 2.0 port along with the USB 3.0 ports.
I have yet to get an explanation about the difference in CDs and DVDs between +R and -R
my understanding so far is that they both store the same amount of data, and seem to cost the same, but they are two different formats.
The +R is supposed to be more tolerant of errors
I am told that some devices are compatible with just one of the formats.
Any opinions on this? and is the difference significant enough to worry about?
