To add in a probably horribly misinformed observation, the reason why gays are into "their own kind" is probably because unlike with straight attractions, if you like a certain type of guy, you can be like that kind of guy if you work on it. e.g. me, who is a smol boi, but would rather work towards being a bear one day

I think I got it from the way I was raised that I just hate whenever I smell smoke and I kinda slightly tut whenever I see someone do it. Buuuuut apparently I also have a thing for it and find it incredibly hot, so thanks for that, brain lol.
