Have been using Chrome for a long time and never had any issues. Tried disabling all the addons and removing all the coockies without any luck. The only thing that I now of is that I allowed a security update before that, so something has to do with that. The only way I can now download using Chrome is to go into Incognito mode, visit the site, log in and then I can download. Not sure yet why..

I've had similar thoughts that it has something to do with a plugin. I cannot reproduce the error here on my computers. It seems not to cause problems with every chrome in the current version…. I hope that it will work again with the next update.

this problem probably appeared with the last update of Chrome. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it here. Neither on my MAC nor on a Windows computer with Windows 10.

Can you send me some more information? Which Windows version do you use and which version of the Chrome Browser?
The problem exists as long as the HTTP_REFERER is passed incorrect or empty.

Hi, the new design has horribly large fonts and rows that make one search result take a third of the screen. This is very impratical, all I do is scroll and important info is lost among tons of unnecessarily large objects.

See screenshot for comparison. There are 6-7 result rows in the old design in comparison to just 3 in the new design.

Please note that turning off the snapshots won't compress the rows. When the snapshots are turnet off, the rows remain the same heigth but with there's just more unused blank space where the snapshots used to be.

Overall I can imagine this working nice on a touch screen but it is very badly designed for a desktop browser UX. Please turn it back or at least make the change optional indefinitely

It might be worth taking a look at the "Guide for Starters" and seeing if it can be edited to give newbies more tips on getting–and keeping--a good ratio.  Perhaps it needs a warning against downloading like mad at first which digs the new user into an un-recoverable hole.  People need to have reasonable expectations about what they can and can't do.

Also, maybe there's a way of making that guide required reading for new members (maybe it already is, I joined a long time ago).

You can submit change requests to this Guide if you like.

it looks more like this user doesn't feel like contributing anything. He just wants to consume. He probably has fundamental problems with his attitude.

This is what I get on a Samsung Galaxy A50 running Google Chrome and Android 10.

It does the same thing on my Alcatel tablet, but interestingly, on my tablet, when I rotate the screen 90° then rotate it back, the pictures don't overlap anymore.

while those icons still under discussion, can i kindly ask the author to create SVG images ?
If we use this very Modern Vector Format we can scale those images to all sizes without having any quality loss.

I have use a browser extension that blocks web content from third parties and I highly dislike having to whitelist (It's just this item https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.12.4.min.js) for this website now to use the menus and show the thumbnails. The old design didn't make me do this. Please make the old design permanently accessible.

Can some Android user check the torrent details page for me? are the thumbnails correctly displayed now OR are they still overlapping? On IOS this works fine.

The new design is great on mobile. On my 4K desktop it's a bit too small. When I use the browser zoom function it gets very jumbled. If it could handle zooming better it would be perfect! Screenshots attached.

2. I really need you to implement a 'select all' option on messages . I'm fed up of having to delete each message one by one and wait for the page to reload after each delete. Not cool.
3. But I here you've been waiting a while to re-jig the site so hopefully lockdown will give you time to address some changes…..

I love the new design but I don't like preview pictures opening in the same window when selecting from a torrents page.  Large previews are compressed to fit the page instead of opening in original size in a new window.  Can you add an option for this to be like the old preview setting?

How about just using the zoom feature in the viewer ? Btw still can do just right-click->open in a new tab on those pictures you really like to see in a seperate Tab

In Safari it seems now everything is so big and a lot of space wasted, scrolling through the page now seems forever; I quite like the old design - compact and easy for the eyes. See the screenshots - this is how the new layout looks on my screen compared to the old one.

I was not a fan of the new layout with all the thumbnails and other stuff on the screen…but once I learned how to tailor the display to my liking using the three little toggle buttons on the right of the screen (see image below), I can now make the display the way I like it...and I think it's better than before.  My thanks to the designers for including these.

I would urge other Gentle Users to fiddle with these buttons and see what they can do for you.  You might find the results pleasing.

that is the point!! Finally you will have ALL those views in one and you will be able to configure it how it works best for you.

Thanks for making the "old version" of the search page easily accessible.

As I believe I said before, I find the new design of the search page off-putting.  Too much clutter of information, making it hard to focus in on what's important.  Each time I have tried it, it just frustrates me and gives me  headache - so I give up.

Everything else in the new design seems fine (thank you for all the effort and care), but I would not recommend moving ahead with the new search page design

if i would give up this quick and listen to people with no visions, this site would not be available today at all

The Search Page is getting much better and I loved the icons that show / hide the images and descriptions but there are some things that need to be improved:

• Reduce the font size used in the name of the torrents and the name must be displayed only on a single line;
• The distance between the torrent name and the description could be reduced;
• Reduce the font size used in the description and, if possible, leave the text "justified" for better alignment;
• The color of the hyperlinks must be changed, it is black and with the new background color, it is very difficult to visualize;
• The images of the categories should be better aligned and, if possible, display the complete image (the small images are cut);
• When an icon is activated to show/hide images and descriptions, I think it should be a different color indicating whether or not it is activated (White/Green);
• The symbol ♺ could be a different color, perhaps green, to stand out among the file title;
• I realize that the space that each torrent occupies is very large, and when the information is hidden, it ends up having a lot of space without anything, I would like a more compact listing when the description and images are hidden.

Attached is a preview of how it is and how it could look.

PS: I couldn't align the description text in photoshop so I got as close to the justified as I could.

And finally comments like that show me, that some of you already get the vision BEFORE everybody starts clapping at the end. Im sure almost all of you will!

thanks for this.. yeah.. the font sizes are now little to big.. i tweak it again in my next update. hyperlink colors already change now.

With the default layout, the background is dark grey. Nice. Easy on the eye.

But! A visited hypertext link has a font color very close to the dark grey,
rendering it invisible until you select it or hover over it, the latter rendering
a light grey and readable URL.

Dunno about unvisited links.

post the link where you see this problem. tell me if you have activated the "old 2006 layout (colors)" or are you using the new one?

Here are my main likes and dislikes:
1. I like the larger fonts.
2. Please do not remove the ♺ sign from the main title. It quickly allows us to see which torrents are new and what has been renewed/recycled. It has now been buried.
3. The thumbnail images on the main page have become the focal point of the page now, but they're too small to really see anything, so I still have to curse over the title to see something large enough to get a sense of what's in the video. I don't personally think they serve the intended purpose, while creating clutter on my screen.

I'll be honest, I prefer the "old" search layout, because the photos make the new one look far too busy and cluttered. It would be easier to just allow members to view photos when they navigate directly to each torrent's page, as it was before. Otherwise, I am adjusting well to the new design. I hope a new logo will present itself eventually. The original logo gives strong Microsoft WordArt vibes from the late 90s. Very much outdated.

finally you will have "all search layout" within the search page (including the old one). you will be able to configure it to your needs. im still testing. i also have ideas to reorder some stuff in those "more info views".. ♺ is back in place.

yeah… the logo... it will be replaced, as soon as i have something new. it should be just a square logo like our favicon  (GT.ru). the space gain would  be also nice for more menu entries.

the menu... im thinking about to add a little extra row with all infos in it (like in the old blue menu).

My next Update can be expected by the end of the weekend.

In general I like the new layout. But one thing is bugging me a lot. I mostly use a laptop (macbook) with a touchpad, and when I scroll through the list, and my cursor is on the middle of the page, the scrolling of the page often stops because the small scrollable block with information for a torrent first wants to scroll to the bottom before the page start scrolling again. (I hope this makes sense.)

Nice!  If the rows would then shrink to fit the shortened descriptions it would be perfect.  Also, for me, the font size is a little too large.  Only 3 lines now show on a page and I find myself scrolling a lot. (I use a laptop - I would love for someone to talk about how they torrent using a phone or tablet.)

As I wrote earlier, the next update will have all views  in one. It will shrink to almost be the old view you all seem to like

But I have a issue on Freeleech torrents list page: I can´t click on the torrent title i want to see more info, cos the pictures popup won't allow me. :cry2:
Since we have some pictures already shown on the page, maybe you should disable the popup OR make it appear only when we mouse over that camera after every title.

With the old layout I could RIGHT-CLICK on the Name to view the item in a new tab/window.
In the new layout, I can neither CLICK or RIGHT-CLICK the name since the thumbnails/pics
get in the way.

i did a little tweak… could you retry this please ?
